{"id":183,"date":"2012-04-17T15:50:33","date_gmt":"2012-04-17T15:50:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.arkansasfreedom.net\/?p=183"},"modified":"2012-04-17T15:50:33","modified_gmt":"2012-04-17T15:50:33","slug":"more-costly-politicrat-visions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arkansasfreedom.net\/?p=183","title":{"rendered":"More costly politicrat &#8220;Visions&#8221;!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><font color=black><br \/>\n<span><\/p>\n<p>Hold your horses!<span>&nbsp; <\/span><\/p>\n<p>Front page story in today\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Times Record 4\/17\/12 \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Developers take stand on Sports Complex\u00e2\u20ac\u009d.<\/p>\n<p>Two quotes from Senator Jake Files serve as a lead-in to this piece.<span>&nbsp; <\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153Jake Files &amp; Lee Webb say they want to build THEIR complex at Chaffee Crossing, not the Riverfront\u00e2\u20ac\u009d.<\/li>\n<li>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153We (Files &amp; Webb) respectfully ask the Board to move with haste in allowing us to proceed at Chaffee Crossing with the development of the River Valley Sports Complex.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The Board has been remiss in detailing the genesis and the activities which have led to Files &amp; Webb being the owners of the Sports Complex. <\/p>\n<p>This appears to be another backroom insider deal.<span>&nbsp; <\/span>If it is THEIR complex, they pay the $1.6 million, not the taxpayers.<span>&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/span>We certainly know that is not going to happen; therefore, let the citizens be made aware of finite details about this rush to judgment. <\/p>\n<p>Many of these questions were posed yesterday and so far, no response.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>How did Files &amp; Webb come to be the progenitors of this curious project?<\/li>\n<li>If allowed to proceed, who owns the complex?<\/li>\n<li>As a 501 c3 complex, who will be the CEO and how many accompanied full time positions and what will be the salaries?<\/li>\n<li>Will the salaried positions be city employees?<\/li>\n<li>What is the salary to be for the CEO?<\/li>\n<li>Where does the funding come from for maintenance, insurance, bonding, etc.?<\/li>\n<li>It is estimated there will be a cash outlay of $1.6 million to construct the softball fields; therefore, what are the accounting procedures and who will oversee the expenditures?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The city government of Fort Smith is in the process of raping citizen taxpayers.<span>&nbsp; <\/span>As an example, I allude to the following \u00e2\u20ac\u0153visions\u00e2\u20ac\u009d being offered by bureaucrats, politicians, and opportunists.<span>&nbsp; <\/span>Incidentally, Senator Files has stated that the softball fields are his \u00e2\u20ac\u0153vision\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and I will take this opportunity to state that Sen. Files business experience has not been exemplary.<span>&nbsp; <\/span><\/p>\n<p>Here are some of the recent \u00e2\u20ac\u0153visions\u00e2\u20ac\u009d:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The Marshal\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Museum.&nbsp; Politicians &amp; bureaucrats will be out hustling funds for the next 2 weeks for this ridiculous colossus ($50 million, 50,000 sq. ft\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6who pays &amp; who maintains?).&nbsp; Want to know more about this colossus, log on to <a href=\"http:\/\/j85.01e.mytemp.website&nbsp;\">arkansasfreedom.net&nbsp;<\/a> <\/li>\n<li>The Water Park\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6.projected to lose at least $150,000 per year, while expanding city &amp; county government with more dead weight.<\/li>\n<li>Walking trails to nowhere.&nbsp; This and other recreational items are demanded by the U.N.\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Agenda 21\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6.stack &amp; pack \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcem and control citizens\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 movement. &nbsp;Is the city of Fort Smith a member of Agenda 21?<\/li>\n<li>UAFS Chancellor Paul Beran\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Entrepreneural School\u00e2\u20ac\u009d.<\/li>\n<li>Chancellor Paul Beran\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s downtown Mallalieu Academy of Excellence for \u00e2\u20ac\u0153at risk\u00e2\u20ac\u009d kids.<\/li>\n<li>Chancellor Paul Beran\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s takeover of the 2nd Street Live venue downtown which its existence is very curious replete with self-serving tentacles.&nbsp; If Beran and UAFS take over the $2.2 million barn, citizen taxpayers will have paid for this entity twice.&nbsp; For details see <a href=\"http:\/\/j85.01e.mytemp.website\">arkansasfreedom.net<\/a> <\/li>\n<li>Beran\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s projections wanting UAFS dormitories downtown. <\/li>\n<li>Continuation of the failed Convention Center and its highly paid staff.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Our wonderful little city of Fort Smith is in a power-dive to economic destruction.
