{"id":235,"date":"2011-07-21T18:17:03","date_gmt":"2011-07-21T18:17:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.arkansasfreedom.net\/?p=235"},"modified":"2011-07-21T18:17:03","modified_gmt":"2011-07-21T18:17:03","slug":"problem-with-judicial-picks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arkansasfreedom.net\/?p=235","title":{"rendered":"Problem with judicial picks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><font color=black><\/p>\n<p>July 21, 2011<br \/>\nSenator Pryor offers three fresh picks for U.S. judge position.<br \/>\nHardly fresh.&nbsp; Two of them have been wallowing in government since the day their legal feet hit the ground.<\/p>\n<p>The three candidates are Christine Baker, a private practice lawyer in Little Rock; Jane Duke, first assistant U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District; and Collette Honorable, Chairman of the Arkansas Public Service Commission. <\/p>\n<p>Pryor said when considering a judicial candidate, he asks himself \u00e2\u20ac\u0153whether the person is well-qualified and impartial and has the proper judicial temperament\u00e2\u20ac\u009d.<\/p>\n<p>Are these fresh picks political cronies? Pryor\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s statement of being \u00e2\u20ac\u0153well-qualified\u00e2\u20ac\u009d so indicates, followed by Senator Boozman\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s statement&nbsp; \u00e2\u20ac\u0153will uphold our nation\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s laws\u00e2\u20ac\u009d.<\/p>\n<p>An example: In 2008 ICE raided the Pilgrim\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Pride plant in N.E. Arkansas.&nbsp; Prosecutor Duke\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s statements after the raid were indeed chilling and showed conclusively that she was not acquainted with federal law or was acting on orders from D.C. not to enforce U.S. law, i.e. 8 USC.&nbsp; Here are her statements dealing with the illegal Mexicans in the Pilgrim\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Pride raid.&nbsp; \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Her office has no interest seeing those arrested serving jail time as they were otherwise law-abiding citizens\u00e2\u20ac\u009d.&nbsp; Say again, Ms. Duke, illegals are law-abiding Citizens??&nbsp; Prosecutor Duke goes on to say \u00e2\u20ac\u0153they came here to better their lives and their family lives by working\u00e2\u20ac\u009d.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Federal Prosecutors are appointed to enforce the rule of law, not massage 3rd World criminals or fail to arrest their employers who are committing felonies by aiding and abetting illegal aliens. <\/p>\n<p>Joe McCutchen<br \/>\nFort Smith<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>July 21, 2011 Senator Pryor offers three fresh picks for U.S. judge position.
