{"id":259,"date":"2011-04-26T20:50:00","date_gmt":"2011-04-26T20:50:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.arkansasfreedom.net\/?p=259"},"modified":"2011-04-26T20:50:00","modified_gmt":"2011-04-26T20:50:00","slug":"theft-vote-buying-funding-follows-failure","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arkansasfreedom.net\/?p=259","title":{"rendered":"Theft &#038; Vote Buying = Funding follows failure"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><font color=black><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Grand Theft, Vote Buying, Insolence, &amp; a little bit of Journalistic Cover-up<\/span><\/strong><span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/span>April 26, 2011<\/p>\n<p>It is beginning to be painfully obvious that the Times Record skews stories and\/or omits important pieces of information, P.C. reigns supreme.<span>&nbsp; <\/span><\/p>\n<p>Today\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s edition, in a story by reporter Ben Boulden titled \u00e2\u20ac\u0153School Board okays pay hikes\u00e2\u20ac\u009d, he writes \u00e2\u20ac\u0153at the end of school, a one-time, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153non-recurring payment\u00e2\u20ac\u009d (translation: bonus) will go to employees:<span>&nbsp; <\/span>$800 for eligible certified staff (?),<span>&nbsp; <\/span>$500 for eligible classified staff (?), and $250 (bus drivers) for part-time transportation staff. <\/p>\n<p>As a lead in to the above paragraph it was stated that public (government) school employees will receive $1,416 or 2.74% pay raise. Why and who pays? Government expands while producers are being eliminated.<\/p>\n<p>The statement regarding \u00e2\u20ac\u0153non-recurring\u00e2\u20ac\u009d payment is really a bonus which was awarded to Arkansas teachers and ancillary help as part of a $90 million so-called stimulus awarded by Barack Obama. This nothing short of money laundering and school personnel vote buying. <\/p>\n<p>What have the teachers and other personnel accomplished in the Fort Smith school district that would warrant a bonus of any amount?<span>&nbsp; <\/span>The following statistics indicate the Arkansas teaching community should receive pay cuts forthwith.<span>&nbsp; <\/span>To enumerate just a few:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -0.25in;\"><span>1.<span style=\"font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/span><\/span>5,615 Arkansans (2010) who took a college entrance exam and failed to score high enough to avoid remediation in math or reading\u00e2\u20ac\u201dboth core subjects.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -0.25in;\"><span>2.<span style=\"font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/span><\/span>A quarter of the students who entered college and needed remedial courses had earned a 3.00 GPA or higher in High School\u00e2\u20ac\u201dgrade inflation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -0.25in;\"><span>3.<span style=\"font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/span><\/span>Arkansas spent $65.7 million on remedial education during the 2007-2008 academic terms and Arkansas teachers saw nothing wrong with their academic fraud. <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -0.25in;\"><span>4.<span style=\"font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/span><\/span>Nearly 70% of Arkansas students need remediation in more than one subject. <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-indent: -0.25in;\"><span>5.<span style=\"font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/span><\/span>Observe the $65.7 million awarded to teach more than \u00c2\u00bd of Arkansas students what they should have learned in K-12.<\/p>\n<p>This screed is too depressing to continue, and only to say that no educator at any level mentions the 25-35 million illegal Mexicans &amp; OTM\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s nesting in our republic while their offspring is devastating education K-12, while stealing the minds of American kids. <span>&nbsp;<\/span>Recall Superintendent Gooden\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s statement referring to illegal alien attendees, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll take all we can get\u00e2\u20ac\u009d.<span>&nbsp; <\/span>Why?<span>&nbsp; <\/span>More funding.<\/p>\n<p>The Arkansas $90 million Obama award was announced Dec. 22, 2010 and one Arkansas legislator had the temerity to question the validity of the $90 million printed out of thin air and a number of teachers reacted by accusing said legislator of \u00e2\u20ac\u0153stealing their Christmas\u00e2\u20ac\u009d. <span>&nbsp;<\/span>Shades of Madison.<\/p>\n<p>In the Times Record piece, school board member Deanie Mehl said \u00e2\u20ac\u0153we were very fortunate to be able to raise any salaries at all\u00e2\u20ac\u009d.<span>&nbsp; <\/span>Insolence?<span>&nbsp; <\/span>You bet.<span>&nbsp; <\/span>The idea that the Fort Smith School Board would reward non-deserving bonuses and pay raises at a time when producers (those of us who are subsidizing the failed education cabal) are unemployed and struggling mightily to eke out a limited subsistence.<span>&nbsp; <\/span>Obviously Ms. Mehl and the Board are dulled as to the reality of what is happening in our former preeminent Republic.<\/p>\n<p>Suggestion:<span>&nbsp; <\/span>Ms. Mehl and the Board, why didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t you demand the monies going for salary increases be diverted back to those who generated it?<\/p>\n<p>Major surgery, Wisconsin &amp; Ohio style, is badly needed in Arkansas.
