\nArkansas State Police seeking to enjoin that agency from using taxpayer funds
\nto publish Driver\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s License Manuals and Driver\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s License Examinations in
\nSpanish. The Plaintiff contends that printing these materials in Spanish
\nviolates the English as the official language statute, Ark. Code Ann. Section
\n1-14-117. The plaintiff also alleges that printing the materials in
\nSpanish violates Ark. Code Ann. Section 27-16-704 which requires that all
\npersons taking a drivers license examination must have the ability to read and
\nunderstand the highway traffic laws of Arkansas and that the statute violation
\nArk. Code Ann. Section 27-16-704 which prohibits issuing a drivers license to
\nany person who is not lawfully in the United States has been violated. <\/p>\n
