Well over 12 million illegal aliens have invaded our<br \/>\ncountry from our southern border, circumventing the strict health requirements<br \/>\nthat are enforced for those entering legally \u00e2\u20ac\u201c requirements that include<br \/>\nensuring the entrants are free from infectious diseases. Our own government<br \/>\ncontinues its push to give them legitimacy, in some cases welcoming them with<br \/>\nopen arms under the guise of \u00e2\u20ac\u0153they are doing the work Americans just don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t do.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<br \/>\nHowever, we don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t know who they are \u00e2\u20ac\u201c or what horrific contagions they may have<br \/>\nbrought with them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; color: black;\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; color: black;\">In Northwest Arkansas, the state health department has been<br \/>\ntracking nine cases of Marshall Island citizens infected with leprosy.<br \/>\nAccording to a report from KFSM, the CBS affiliate in Fayetteville, Northwest<br \/>\nArkansas has a large population of Marshall Island immigrants who have been<br \/>\nbrought here to work in the poultry plants in the area. Although, according to<br \/>\nDr. Jennifer Bingham in the KFSM report, leprosy is curable with proper<br \/>\nattention to treatment, they are not able to enlist compliance from the<br \/>\npatients to complete the process. The report also lists 100 cases of<br \/>\ntuberculosis in the Springdale area.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; color: black;\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; color: black;\">In subsequent reports, the Arkansas Department of Health has<br \/>\ndownplayed the importance of the outbreak of leprosy in Northwest Arkansas,<br \/>\nstating that 95 percent of the population is genetically resistant to the<br \/>\ndisease. Leprosy is a major concern in the Marshall Islands and with residents<br \/>\nfrom the Marshall Islands being exempt from immigration laws \u00e2\u20ac\u201c including<br \/>\nmedical requirements \u00e2\u20ac\u201c it is no small surprise that Northwest Arkansas, with a<br \/>\nlarge concentration of Marshall Island residents working in the poultry plants,<br \/>\nis tracking nine cases of the disease.&nbsp; <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; color: black;\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; color: black;\">In an effort to calm fears of tuberculosis outbreak, the Ft.<br \/>\nSmith, Arkansas, Times Record states that in 2007, there were 106 cases of<br \/>\ntuberculosis reported statewide, with 21 \u00e2\u20ac\u201c nearly a full quarter \u00e2\u20ac\u201c in the<br \/>\nNorthwest Arkansas area. Spread through the inhalation of infected particles<br \/>\nfrom an infected person who coughs, tuberculosis is easier spread than leprosy.<br \/>\nBoth stories, regardless of the downplaying from government officials, are<br \/>\nreason for concern.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; color: black;\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; color: black;\">Concerns over leprosy in America are not new, but rarely reported.<br \/>\nOn March 15, 2005, Columbia University\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Columbia News Service published an<br \/>\narticle by Ben Whitford, titled \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Leprosy in America:&nbsp; New Cause for<br \/>\nConcern\u00e2\u20ac\u009d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; color: black;\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; color: black;\">While leprosy outbreaks in the United States are rare,<br \/>\napproximately 130 cases per year, Whitford\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s report states that in 2004, 100<br \/>\ncases of leprosy were diagnosed in the United States among the immigrant<br \/>\npopulation. That was double from the year 2000.&nbsp; Dr. William Levis, head<br \/>\nof New York\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Hansen\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Disease Clinic, stated, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s creeping into the<br \/>\nU.S.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d&nbsp; He is further quoted as calling it an \u00e2\u20ac\u0153epidemic\u00e2\u20ac\u009d that has already<br \/>\nreached such proportions in Texas, New York and California \u00e2\u20ac\u201c all states with<br \/>\nhigh populations of immigrants.&nbsp; <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; color: black;\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; color: black;\">It has become politically incorrect to discuss the possibility of<br \/>\nillegal aliens bringing tuberculosis, leprosy and other infectious diseases<br \/>\nacross the border. This tolerance to the lax policies regarding immigration,<br \/>\nappeasement of La Raza and other special interests and the ease in which<br \/>\nillegal aliens can blend into American society, leaves us wide open to<br \/>\nsomething far more sinister and deadly \u00e2\u20ac\u201c bioterrorism.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; color: black;\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; color: black;\">Like the economic and health issues regarding illegal immigration<br \/>\nthat have plagued our nation, the threat of terrorism from our porous southern<br \/>\nand northern borders is largely ignored, but a very real possibility.&nbsp; <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; color: black;\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; color: black;\">After September 11, the possibility of smallpox being used in a<br \/>\nbioterror attack became a concern with the Center for Disease Control. Long<br \/>\nsince eradicated from the U.S., this highly contagious, deadly disease \u00e2\u20ac\u201c or any<br \/>\nother \u00e2\u20ac\u201c can walk across the border with Mohammed as easily as tuberculosis<br \/>\ncomes with your local tomato picker.&nbsp; <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; color: black;\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; color: black;\">Tuberculosis, leprosy \u00e2\u20ac\u201c an epidemic?&nbsp; The reality of<br \/>\nbioterrorism from our porous borders? The possibilities could cause panic among<br \/>\nthe population.
