{"id":377,"date":"2010-06-21T19:41:00","date_gmt":"2010-06-21T19:41:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.arkansasfreedom.net\/?p=377"},"modified":"2010-06-21T19:41:00","modified_gmt":"2010-06-21T19:41:00","slug":"incremental-globalization-on-local-level","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arkansasfreedom.net\/?p=377","title":{"rendered":"Incremental Globalization on local level"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: black;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: black;\">June 21, 2010<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: black;\">There are many shades of lipstick being applied to the Pig called Globalism.&nbsp; Some are named \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Sustainable Development\u00e2\u20ac\u009d; \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Quality of Place\u00e2\u20ac\u009d; ICLEI&nbsp; (International Council for Local Environmental Issues)\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6\u00e2\u20ac\u009dLocal Governments for Sustainability\u00e2\u20ac\u009d; \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Public\/Private Partnerships\u00e2\u20ac\u009d; \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Metro 1313\u00e2\u20ac\u009d; Agenda 21, and what appears to be the hot new shade \u00e2\u20ac\u0153New Markets Tax Credit Program\u00e2\u20ac\u009d.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: black;\">These shades are designed to flummox taxpayers, exploit tax revenues, and to \u00e2\u20ac\u0153stack em &amp; pack em\u00e2\u20ac\u009d, i.e. force citizens and others to live in more easily controlled environments.&nbsp; Most high-falutin lipstick shades are designed by faceless, unelected bureaucrats, boards, task forces, study groups, etc.&nbsp; All influenced by some form of Collectivism.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: black;\">&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: black;\">Who benefits?&nbsp; Expansion of government programs like HUD (Dept. of Housing &amp; Urban Development), the developers, contractors, real estate, banks, consultants, and financial professionals.&nbsp; Other beneficiaries include the deadbeats who take advantage of forced redistribution, enjoying fanfare and impunity.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: black;\">Who loses?&nbsp; The hard-working, taxpaying citizens who ask for nothing \u00e2\u20ac\u0153free\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and make no demands on their neighbors to feed, clothe, or house them, yet are expected to provide those things for mostly irresponsible people, while struggling to provide for their own families in an honorable way.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: black;\">The exploiters are sly and cunning.&nbsp; They always camouflage their activities in emotional, politically correct terms\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6such as \u00e2\u20ac\u0153it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s for the children, or the downtrodden, or the homeless, the common good, giving back, making a difference\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and all the other contrived bromides being mindlessly spouted on a daily basis. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: black;\">The exploiters of taxpayers are often also exploiting the labor of illegal aliens whose healthcare, housing, food, education, penal is added to the financial, cultural, and safety burdens of honest citizens.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: black;\">While the manipulators, public and private, are smirking their way to the bank, citizens\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 anger and frustration rapidly grows.&nbsp; Career politicians are being thrown out and so must career bureaucrats and exploiters.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: black;\">Barbara McCutchen<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: black;\">Fort Smith<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>June 21, 2010 There are many shades of lipstick being applied to the Pig called Globalism.&nbsp; Some are named \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Sustainable Development\u00e2\u20ac\u009d; \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Quality of Place\u00e2\u20ac\u009d; ICLEI&nbsp; (International Council for Local Environmental Issues)\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6\u00e2\u20ac\u009dLocal Governments for Sustainability\u00e2\u20ac\u009d; \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Public\/Private Partnerships\u00e2\u20ac\u009d; \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Metro 1313\u00e2\u20ac\u009d; Agenda 21, and what appears to be the hot new shade \u00e2\u20ac\u0153New Markets Tax Credit Program\u00e2\u20ac\u009d.
