\nhear the candidate\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s name ask: \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Why?\u00e2\u20ac\u009d <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Nine
\ntimes out of ten, you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll hear some mutterings like: \u00e2\u20ac\u0153He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s really conservative\u00e2\u20ac\u009d or
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u0153We need a Christian in the White House\u00e2\u20ac\u009d or \u00e2\u20ac\u0153He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the best qualified.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Ask for
\nsome specifics and you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re likely to see eyes shift downward as the subject is
\nchanged. <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The
\ntruth of the matter is, most people are woefully uninformed and are buying the
\nlying of \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcfront-runner\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 candidates and their media sock puppets. <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Last
\nweekend at a department store, I heard two sales women mention Ron Paul. I
\nlistened to the following comments as I poked through the sweater racks. <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Woman
\n#1: \u00e2\u20ac\u0153He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s so creepy, I just kept taking that poll online \u00e2\u20ac\u02dctil it finally showed
\nI was for someone else.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Woman
\n#2:\u00e2\u20ac\u009d I know, he\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s really a weirdo. It came up for Ron Paul for me, too, but I
\nwould never vote for him.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

For
\none moment, I questioned the wisdom of women\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s suffrage. <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Along
\nwith the media embargo on Congressman Ron Paul\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s silver medal showing in the silver state<\/span><\/a>
\nas well as his unprecedented fund-raising, many Americans refuse to acknowledge
\nthe one, true constitutionalist in the GOP presidential race. Many folks twist
\nthemselves into pretzels trying to defend candidates who do not represent them
\nat all on the major issues and whose track records should be cause for serious concern.
\n<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Take
\nthe recent New York Times Story<\/span><\/a> which details the
\nruthlessness with which former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani dispensed with
\nhis those who dared to cross him. <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Why
\nwas this information just now revealed? The time for this frightening expose\u00e2\u20ac\u2122
\nof the lengths \u00e2\u20ac\u0153America\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Mayor\u00e2\u20ac\u009d went to in destroying those who got in his way
\nwas when Rudy was riding high in the polls. It would have served to let people
\nknow just whom they were considering for leader of the free world. The
\ngutlessness of the New York Times in sitting on this story speaks volumes about
\nmedia\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s complicity in covering up the crimes of the political \u00e2\u20ac\u0153chosen\u00e2\u20ac\u009d. Could
\nit be the NYT was afraid of retribution should this man actually become<\/em>
\npresident? Was it only when it became apparent he\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d soon be dropping out of the
\nrace that they had the guts to expose him? You decide. <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Add
\nto this information the facts that Giuliani covered for a large pharmaceutical
\ncompany while its billion dollar selling drug Oxycontin was ravaging lives all across America<\/span><\/a>. <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

People
\nwho supported Rudy up till the bitter end, apparently weren\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t aware of, or
\ndidn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t understand the gravity of his work with a foreign corporation, which is
\ncurrently hell-bent on taking over vast portions of America\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s countryside for
\nuse as a giant transcontinental toll road. The so-called \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcNAFTA Superhighway\u00e2\u20ac\u2122
\nis designed to make transporting foreign goods easier for Chinese and Mexican
\ncorporations. Mercifully, Giuliani is out of the running, but that doesn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t put
\nus in the clear by any means. <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Some
\nvoters will bemoan the problem of illegal immigration in one breath and in the
\nnext breath tell you they want former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee to be
\npresident. <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Obviously,
\nthese people have not done any homework on their candidate of choice or they
\nwould know Huckabee created a veritable sanctuary state in Arkansas. While
\ngovernor, he courted a cheap, illegal workforce for corporate cronies at Tyson
\nFoods and WalMart, thus lowering the pay scale for legal residents of that
\nstate who then found jobs harder than ever to come by. <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

At
\nthe same time, Huckabee provided taxpayer-funded office space to the Mexican
\ngovernment, pushed healthcare jackpots for illegals and likened the current
\npopulation of illegal aliens to slaves brought here from Africa, all the while
\nsuggesting that those who had a problem with the onslaught might be \u00e2\u20ac\u0153racist.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Huckabee\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s
\npresidential \u00e2\u20ac\u0153immigration reform\u00e2\u20ac\u009d plan is to have those here illegally go back
\nto their home countries for one day and then come back lickety- split all
\nlegal-like. The so-called \u00e2\u20ac\u02dctouch-back\u00e2\u20ac\u009d program is nothing less than amnesty.
\nThis, Huckabee touts as \u00e2\u20ac\u0153tough\u00e2\u20ac\u009d immigration policy. <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

If
\nyour fellow \u00e2\u20ac\u0153conservative\u00e2\u20ac\u009d should tell you he\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a Mitt Romney supporter, again,
\nask him \u00e2\u20ac\u0153why?\u00e2\u20ac\u009d When he mutters that Mitt has what it takes to lead our country
\nback to a more constitutional track ask him if he has any fondness for the
\nprovisions of the 2nd amendment. Chances are he will ask what amendment that
\nis. You can then remind him (or her) that it is the gun one- up there near the
\ntop of the list. <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Now
\nwould also be a good time to remind your fellow \u00e2\u20ac\u0153conservative\u00e2\u20ac\u009d that while he
\nwas governor of Massachusetts Romney presided over a state, which has among the
\nmost restrictive gun control laws in the country. When asked about those
\nrestrictions Romney said “We do have tough gun laws in Massachusetts; I
\nsupport them. I won\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t chip away at them; I believe they protect us and provide for our safety<\/span><\/a>.”
\n<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Or
\nmaybe you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re hearing Romney is a real \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcfamily values\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 candidate. This would be
\na good time to mention Romney\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s new found \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcfamily\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 values don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t exactly square
\nup with some items on his \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcto-do\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 list while he was governor such as: <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

1)
\nSupporting and promoting legalizing homosexual civil unions
\n2) Opposing the Boy Scouts\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 ban on homosexual scoutmasters
\n3) Refusing to endorse original Massachusetts constitutional amendment defining
\nmarriage as between one man and one woman. <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Folks
\nwho heard Romney speak during the Michigan primary heard him say \u00e2\u20ac\u0153I’ll work
\nevery day to change Washington and bring us back, because Michigan is personal
\nto me.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

What
\nRomney neglected to add was that unconstitutional \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcfree-trade\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 agreements have
\nchoked the life out of manufacturing, and given unfair advantage to foreign
\ncorporations at the expense of our national economy. In a state beleaguered by
\na 7.4% unemployment rate, this is where the \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcfree trade\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 rubber meets the road.
\nAt no time did Romney discuss working to end those trade agreements. <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

If
\nthe conversation turns to McCain as a viable candidate, again ask \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Why?\u00e2\u20ac\u009d They
\nmight point to McCain\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s honesty during the Michigan primary when he said auto
\njobs weren\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t coming back to the state. Sadly, McCain was right, but he didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t
\nmention that he has been the only GOP candidate to say the country needs to
\nfight \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcglobal warming\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 by accepting higher fuel efficiency standards- surely
\nthe final nail in the Motor City\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s coffin. Even Romney admits that would be a
\nbad idea, calling a bill McCain supported to require vehicle manufacturers to
\nimprove fuel efficiency by 40 percent an \u00e2\u20ac\u0153anvil\u00e2\u20ac\u009d around the neck of a sinking
\nindustry. <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Starting
\nwith the First-Amendment-busting McCain-Feingold \u00e2\u20ac\u0153campaign finance\u00e2\u20ac\u009d bill he
\nchampioned, John McCain essentially muzzled advocacy groups like pro-life and
\npro-2nd amendment organizations, with legislation that shut down \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcissue ads\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 in
\nthe last days of political campaigns. McCain called Pat Robertson and Jerry
\nFalwell \u00e2\u20ac\u0153agents of intolerance<\/span><\/a>\u00e2\u20ac\u009d comparing them to Louis
\nFarrakhan and Al Sharpton. <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Now
\nyou can segue into McCain\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s votes on taxes. When you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re told the senator is
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u0153fiscally conservative\u00e2\u20ac\u009d mention McCain voted against President Bush\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s 2001 and
\n2003 tax cuts. <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Maybe
\nyou\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d like to throw in that McCain, the \u00e2\u20ac\u0153conservative\u00e2\u20ac\u009d was behind anti-gun
\nlegislation to restrict sales at gun shows at both federal and state levels<\/span><\/a>.
\nThe pro- 2nd amendment group Gun Owners of America says: <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

“This year it
\nappears (McCain) is seeking to ‘come home’ to the pro-gun community, but the
\nwounds are deep<\/span><\/a>.” <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Perhaps
\nnow would be a good time to add that McCain supported amnesty legislation. <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Folks
\nin Arizona and the rest of the country who are worried about the illegal influx
\ndon\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t think he\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s so \u00e2\u20ac\u0153conservative\u00e2\u20ac\u009d on the issue. Roy Beck, executive director
\nof the anti-illegal immigration group NumbersUSA (www.numbersusa.com) had this
\nto say after John McCain won the New Hampshire primary: <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

“I
\ncan tell you every single immigration activist and organization is terrified by
\nthe New Hampshire results.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

According
\nto a recent New York Times\/CBS News poll<\/span><\/a> none of the
\nRepublican candidates is viewed favorably by even half the Republican
\nelectorate. By contrast the D\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s like their lineup just fine. <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Seventy-six
\npercent of Republicans asked said they might still change their minds on a
\ncandidate compared with 23 percent who say their decision is firm. Among
\nDemocrats, 59 percent said they could change their minds, and 40 percent said
\nthey\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re firm on their decision. <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

These
\nstatistics are another indication of why so many life-long Republicans are
\nregistering dissatisfaction with their party. If they wanted liberal democrats
\nto vote for they could choose Hillary or Obama or Edwards. Instead, holding
\ntheir nose and voting for yet another R who has abandoned the core principles
\nof the Grand Old Party is frankly, wearing thin. <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

This
\nelection year\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s unparalleled voter dissatisfaction- especially among the
\nRepublicans can\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t be ignored. With the release of the study showing the Bush
\nadministration lied over 900 times in justifying the Iraq war<\/span><\/a>, it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s
\ngetting harder for the pro-war set to justify the bloodletting, much less
\nignore \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Bomb, bomb Iran\u00e2\u20ac\u009d-type statements from candidates like McCain.<\/span> <\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Voters
\nwho have done their homework know that Congressman Ron Paul is the only
\ncandidate in either \u00e2\u20ac\u0153big box\u00e2\u20ac\u009d party who is against the unconstitutional war in
\nIraq and against pre-emptive strikes against Iran. <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Our
\nRepublic will surely not survive another election at the hands of an
\nill-informed electorate. That is why it is imperative we get the facts and put
\nprinciples above party politics. Should the GOP deliver anyone besides
\nCongressman Ron Paul, we must be ready to take the initiative and vote for a
\nthird party candidate.<\/span> <\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

American
\npoet Paul Goodman summed it all up when he wrote; \u00e2\u20ac\u0153The organization of American
\nsociety is an interlocking system of\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6an electorate notoriously unenlightened,
\nmisled by a mass media notoriously phony\u00e2\u20ac\u009d <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Unenlightened
\nand phony\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6a combination that will prove deadly for our future. <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
