Many folks twist<br \/>\nthemselves into pretzels trying to defend candidates who do not represent them<br \/>\nat all on the major issues and whose track records should be cause for serious concern.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;\"><o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;Georgia&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;\">Take<br \/>\nthe <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2008\/01\/22\/us\/politics\/22giuliani.html?_r=2&amp;ei=5088&amp;en=29fd0ff771df8a73&amp;ex=1358658000&amp;partner=rssnyt&amp;emc=rss&amp;pagewanted=all&amp;oref=slogin\"><span style=\"color: blue;\">recent New York Times Story<\/span><\/a> which details the<br \/>\nruthlessness with which former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani dispensed with<br \/>\nhis those who dared to cross him. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;\"><o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;Georgia&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;\">Why<br \/>\nwas this information just now revealed? The time for this frightening expose\u00e2\u20ac\u2122<br \/>\nof the lengths \u00e2\u20ac\u0153America\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Mayor\u00e2\u20ac\u009d went to in destroying those who got in his way<br \/>\nwas when Rudy was riding high in the polls. It would have served to let people<br \/>\nknow just whom they were considering for leader of the free world. The<br \/>\ngutlessness of the New York Times in sitting on this story speaks volumes about<br \/>\nmedia\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s complicity in covering up the crimes of the political \u00e2\u20ac\u0153chosen\u00e2\u20ac\u009d. Could<br \/>\nit be the NYT was afraid of retribution should this man actually <em>become<\/em><br \/>\npresident? Was it only when it became apparent he\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d soon be dropping out of the<br \/>\nrace that they had the guts to expose him? The so-called \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcNAFTA Superhighway\u00e2\u20ac\u2122<br \/>\nis designed to make transporting foreign goods easier for Chinese and Mexican<br \/>\ncorporations. Mercifully, Giuliani is out of the running, but that doesn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t put<br \/>\nus in the clear by any means. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;\"><o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;Georgia&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;\">Some<br \/>\nvoters will bemoan the problem of illegal immigration in one breath and in the<br \/>\nnext breath tell you they want former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee to be<br \/>\npresident. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;\"><o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;Georgia&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;\">Obviously,<br \/>\nthese people have not done any homework on their candidate of choice or they<br \/>\nwould know Huckabee created a veritable sanctuary state in Arkansas. While<br \/>\ngovernor, he courted a cheap, illegal workforce for corporate cronies at Tyson<br \/>\nFoods and WalMart, thus lowering the pay scale for legal residents of that<br \/>\nstate who then found jobs harder than ever to come by. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;\"><o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;Georgia&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;\">At<br \/>\nthe same time, Huckabee provided taxpayer-funded office space to the Mexican<br \/>\ngovernment, pushed healthcare jackpots for illegals and likened the current<br \/>\npopulation of illegal aliens to slaves brought here from Africa, all the while<br \/>\nsuggesting that those who had a problem with the onslaught might be \u00e2\u20ac\u0153racist.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;\"><o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;Georgia&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;\">Huckabee\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s<br \/>\npresidential \u00e2\u20ac\u0153immigration reform\u00e2\u20ac\u009d plan is to have those here illegally go back<br \/>\nto their home countries for one day and then come back lickety- split all<br \/>\nlegal-like. The so-called \u00e2\u20ac\u02dctouch-back\u00e2\u20ac\u009d program is nothing less than amnesty.<br \/>\nThis, Huckabee touts as \u00e2\u20ac\u0153tough\u00e2\u20ac\u009d immigration policy. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;\"><o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;Georgia&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;\">If<br \/>\nyour fellow \u00e2\u20ac\u0153conservative\u00e2\u20ac\u009d should tell you he\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a Mitt Romney supporter, again,<br \/>\nask him \u00e2\u20ac\u0153why?\u00e2\u20ac\u009d When he mutters that Mitt has what it takes to lead our country<br \/>\nback to a more constitutional track ask him if he has any fondness for the<br \/>\nprovisions of the 2nd amendment. Chances are he will ask what amendment that<br \/>\nis. You can then remind him (or her) that it is the gun one- up there near the<br \/>\ntop of the list. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;\"><o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;Georgia&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;\">Now<br \/>\nwould also be a good time to remind your fellow \u00e2\u20ac\u0153conservative\u00e2\u20ac\u009d that while he<br \/>\nwas governor of Massachusetts Romney presided over a state, which has among the<br \/>\nmost restrictive gun control laws in the country. When asked about those<br \/>\nrestrictions Romney said &#8220;We do have tough gun laws in Massachusetts; I<br \/>\nsupport them. I won\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t chip away at them; I believe <a href=\"http:\/\/www.constitutionparty.com\/news.php?aid=613#Romney\"><span style=\"color: blue;\">they protect us and provide for our safety<\/span><\/a>.&#8221;<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;\"><o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;Georgia&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;\">Or<br \/>\nmaybe you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re hearing Romney is a real \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcfamily values\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 candidate. This would be<br \/>\na good time to mention Romney\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s new found \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcfamily\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 values don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t exactly square<br \/>\nup with some items on his \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcto-do\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 list while he was governor such as: <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;\"><o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;Georgia&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;\">1)<br \/>\nSupporting and promoting legalizing homosexual civil unions <br \/>\n2) Opposing the Boy Scouts\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 ban on homosexual scoutmasters<br \/>\n3) Refusing to endorse original Massachusetts constitutional amendment defining<br \/>\nmarriage as between one man and one woman. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;\"><o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;Georgia&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;\">Folks<br \/>\nwho heard Romney speak during the Michigan primary heard him say \u00e2\u20ac\u0153I&#8217;ll work<br \/>\nevery day to change Washington and bring us back, because Michigan is personal<br \/>\nto me.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;\"><o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;Georgia&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;\">What<br \/>\nRomney neglected to add was that unconstitutional \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcfree-trade\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 agreements have<br \/>\nchoked the life out of manufacturing, and given unfair advantage to foreign<br \/>\ncorporations at the expense of our national economy. In a state beleaguered by<br \/>\na 7.4% unemployment rate, this is where the \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcfree trade\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 rubber meets the road.<br \/>\nAt no time did Romney discuss working to end those trade agreements. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;\"><o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;Georgia&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;\">If<br \/>\nthe conversation turns to McCain as a viable candidate, again ask \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Why?\u00e2\u20ac\u009d They<br \/>\nmight point to McCain\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s honesty during the Michigan primary when he said auto<br \/>\njobs weren\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t coming back to the state. Sadly, McCain was right, but he didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t<br \/>\nmention that he has been the only GOP candidate to say the country needs to<br \/>\nfight \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcglobal warming\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 by accepting higher fuel efficiency standards- surely<br \/>\nthe final nail in the Motor City\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s coffin. Even Romney admits that would be a<br \/>\nbad idea, calling a bill McCain supported to require vehicle manufacturers to<br \/>\nimprove fuel efficiency by 40 percent an \u00e2\u20ac\u0153anvil\u00e2\u20ac\u009d around the neck of a sinking<br \/>\nindustry. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;\"><o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;Georgia&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;\">Starting<br \/>\nwith the First-Amendment-busting McCain-Feingold \u00e2\u20ac\u0153campaign finance\u00e2\u20ac\u009d bill he<br \/>\nchampioned, John McCain essentially muzzled advocacy groups like pro-life and<br \/>\npro-2nd amendment organizations, with legislation that shut down \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcissue ads\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 in<br \/>\nthe last days of political campaigns. McCain called Pat Robertson and Jerry<br \/>\nFalwell \u00e2\u20ac\u0153<a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/wp-dyn\/content\/article\/2008\/01\/13\/AR2008011303659.html?hpid=topnews\"><span style=\"color: blue;\">agents of intolerance<\/span><\/a>\u00e2\u20ac\u009d comparing them to Louis<br \/>\nFarrakhan and Al Sharpton. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;\"><o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: &quot;Georgia&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;\">Now<br \/>\nyou can segue into McCain\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s votes on taxes.
