Since 1996, I have been heavily involved in numerous Republican<br \/>\ncampaigns in Arkansas at&nbsp;all&nbsp;levels (even managing a few). I have<br \/>\nalso&nbsp;served as vice chairman of the Republican committee in Arkansas&#8217;<br \/>\nlargest county. Yet I don&#8217;t know of a single person in these circles who is<br \/>\nsupporting Huckabee for President &#8211; although I do know many that are definitely<br \/>\n<em>not<\/em> supporting him. Of course, this is anecdotal evidence, but consider<br \/>\nthat Huckabee just finished serving 10 years as our governor (and I am sure<br \/>\nthere are many Republicans in Arkansas who are supporting him&nbsp;&#8211; I just<br \/>\ndon&#8217;t know them). This tied&nbsp;our<br \/>\nparty&#8217;s hands &#8211; many conservatives got frustrated, apathy set in, and some quit<br \/>\nthe fight. He also insisted that his guy remain<br \/>\nas state party chairman when party leaders planned to make a change.
