The<br \/>\nobjective is to make things right.&#8221; <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;\">Huckabee has also expressed support for some type of<br \/>\nbarrier along the border with Mexico.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;\">Huckabee has received attention on<br \/>\nthe CFR website from Michael J. Gerson, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cfr.org\/publication\/11175\/michael_j_gerson_former_top_bush_aide_joins_council.html\"><span style=\"color: blue;\">a former speech writer for President George W. Bush<\/span><\/a><br \/>\nwho joined the CFR in July 2006 as a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cfr.org\/bios\/12454\/michael_j_gerson.html\"><span style=\"color: blue;\">Roger Hertog senior fellow<\/span><\/a>. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;\">The CFR is currently featuring <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cfr.org\/publication\/14772\/\"><span style=\"color: blue;\">a Nov. 9<br \/>\narticle Gerson wrote in the Washington Post entitled, &#8220;The Huckabee<br \/>\nDifference.&#8221;<\/span><\/a> <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;\">Gerson noted, &#8220;In our<br \/>\nconversation he [Huckabee] was highly critical of Fred Thompson&#8217;s view that<br \/>\nabortion policy should be left to the states,&#8221; making no comment on<br \/>\nHuckabee&#8217;s immigration policies. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.worldnetdaily.com\/news\/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=58430\"><span style=\"color: blue;\">WND has documented<\/span><\/a> Huckabee&#8217;s efforts in 2006 to<br \/>\nfinance with state funds and contributions made by private commercial<br \/>\ndevelopers a Mexican customs office established in Little Rock. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;\">In establishing the Mexican<br \/>\nconsulate in Little Rock, Huckabee was assisted by his economic development<br \/>\nofficer, Robert Trevino, who was then also district president of the League of<br \/>\nUnited Latin American Citizens, also known as LULAC, an activist group strongly<br \/>\nadvocating for rights of Hispanic immigrants in the United States. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;\">Trevino moved on to be the<br \/>\ncommissioner of the Arkansas Rehabilitations Services, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.worldnetdaily.com\/news\/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=58455\"><span style=\"color: blue;\">where he signed a July 7, 2006 &#8220;Facilities Use<br \/>\nAgreement&#8221; agreement<\/span><\/a> leasing space for the Mexican consulate to<br \/>\nset up a temporary office in the Arkansas Rehabilitations Services Building at<br \/>\nthe cost of $1 per year, until a permanent facility could be built in Little<br \/>\nRock to house the consulate office. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;\">Bob Burrow, an Arkansas commercial<br \/>\nreal estate developer, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.worldnetdaily.com\/news\/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=58657\"><span style=\"color: blue;\">told WND his firm spent $1.2 million in facilitating<br \/>\nHuckabee&#8217;s deal with Mexico<\/span><\/a>, buying the property and building for<br \/>\nMexico the consulate office at 3500 South University Ave. in Little Rock. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;\">At no cost to Mexico, the consulate <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nwanews.com\/adg\/News\/188454\/\"><span style=\"color: blue;\">was<br \/>\nopened on April 25 this year<\/span><\/a>. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.worldnetdaily.com\/news\/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=58430\"><span style=\"color: blue;\">Huckabee told WND<\/span><\/a> he and Trevino traveled south<br \/>\nof the border in a state airplane in 2003 to pursue the deal with Mexico<br \/>\nbecause he believed having a Mexican consulate in Little Rock would support<br \/>\nArkansas exports to Mexico. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;\">Yet, the Mexican office Huckabee<br \/>\nsought to put in Little Rock was not a trade mission office, but a consulate<br \/>\noffice. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;\">Nationwide, Mexican consulate<br \/>\noffices are known for supporting illegal aliens in their effort to get various<br \/>\nkinds of identification, work permits, driver&#8217;s licenses and bank accounts. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;\">Huckabee&#8217;s website still presents<br \/>\nhim as saying, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mikehuckabee.com\/?FuseAction=Issues.View&amp;Issue_id=4\"><span style=\"color: blue;\">&#8220;Securing our borders must be our top priority and has<br \/>\nreached the level of a national emergency.&#8221;<\/span><\/a> <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;\">Yet, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/apps\/pbcs.dll\/article?AID=\/20071130\/NATION\/111300094\/1002&amp;template=printart\"><span style=\"color: blue;\">the Washington Times<\/span><\/a> quoted Ray Beck, president<br \/>\nof <a href=\"http:\/\/www.numbersusa.com\/index\"><span style=\"color: blue;\">NumbersUSA<\/span><\/a>,<br \/>\nas saying Huckabee &#8220;was an absolute disaster on immigration as<br \/>\ngovernor.&#8221; <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;\">The bottom line is the CFR would be<br \/>\nunlikely to give favorable attention to any candidate who was truly for<br \/>\nsecuring our borders by building a fence. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;\">The evidence of Huckabee&#8217;s record as<br \/>\ngovernor, regardless what Gilchrist may say, is that he helped create Arkansas<br \/>\nas a sanctuary state, serving the interest of the Arkansas corporations that<br \/>\nwanted to exploit the cheap labor readily available from an open flow of<br \/>\nillegal immigrants. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;;\">This, Huckabee&#8217;s actual record on<br \/>\nimmigration while governor rather than his newfound border-security rhetoric,<br \/>\nis a record the CFR globalists appear to be signaling the organization is<br \/>\nprepared to embrace and promote with increased coverage that curiously<br \/>\ncoincides with Huckabee&#8217;s recent rise in the polls. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;
