Republican presidential candidate
\nMike Huckabee will appear on national television this month with a Texas
\ntelevangelist whose teachings have been branded \u00e2\u20ac\u0153heretical\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and whose lavish
\nspending has sparked a congressional inquiry. <\/o:p><\/font><\/span><\/p>\n

Huckabee, a minister and former head
\nof the Arkansas Baptist State Convention, will sit down with Fort Worth
\npreacher Kenneth Copeland \u00e2\u20ac\u0153for six days of frank discussion on the biblical
\nperspective of character, and the vital relevance true character has to the
\nChurch today,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d a full-page advertisement in the December issue of Charisma
\nmagazine proclaims………………<\/font><\/span><\/p>\n

Copeland, 70, worked as a copilot for faith healer Oral Roberts and
\ntook classes at Oral Roberts University in the 1960s, before dropping
\nout to enter full-time ministry.
\n<\/font><\/p>\n

Today, he oversees a worldwide religious empire with offices in the
\nUnited States, South Africa, Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom and
\nUkraine. <\/font><\/p>\n

The Texan teaches that Jesus was a wealthy man, and that all of
\nChrist\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s faithful followers are entitled to physical health and
\nfinancial prosperity. But to receive, you must give first, because
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u0153giving is the key that opens the door\u00e2\u20ac\u009d to blessings, the preacher
\nstates on his Web site. The evangelist also teaches that anyone can be
\nhealed of any infirmity – provided they have sufficient faith. <\/font><\/p>\n

Copeland is a mentor for other prosperity gospel preachers and
\naccording to his magazine, he has helped provide 26 airplanes to fellow
\nministries. <\/font><\/p>\n

Copeland and his wife have also given $4,600 to the Huckabee
\ncampaign, the evangelist told the Democrat-Gazette earlier this month…………………<\/font><\/p>\n

In his book, Christianity in Crisis, Christian Research Institute
\nPresident Hank Hanegraaff writes that Kenneth Copeland Ministries
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u0153bears all the marks of a cult.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d <\/font><\/p>\n

Copeland\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s nonprofit agency
\nrakes in untold millions of dollars. Because it is classified as a
\nchurch, it does not have to release key financial data like other
\nnonprofits do. MinistryWatch, an organization that monitors Christian
\nministries, gives Kenneth Copeland Ministries an \u00e2\u20ac\u0153F\u00e2\u20ac\u009d grade for
\ntransparency, saying it has not released a detailed budget. <\/font><\/p>\n

An investigator with a Dallas-based televangelist watchdog group,
\nsays Copeland preys on desperate people. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s extremely sad and
\nheartbreaking that these people are giving their last dollars and
\nexpecting to get either a financial or a physical healing,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d said Pete
\nEvans of the Trinity Foundation. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s certainly a snake-oil salesman.
\nHe\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s promising healings that he can\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t deliver.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d <\/font><\/p>\n

\nor religious icon?   <\/span>Showbiz and one-liners
\nreign supreme.  <\/span>Hallelujah.<\/font><\/p>\n

Makes for one REALLY big show.  <\/span>Make way for the ultimate shell
\ngame\/Kabuki\/smoke & mirrors performance.<\/font><\/p>\n

Come one, come all to the final demise of the U.S. and
\nthe Enlightenment\/Founders\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6given up by the so-called citizens of said country
\nwho have no idea (by design) what they are doing or why\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6.heck, they don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t even
\nunderstand the original intent, thanks to the Huckster and untold others.<\/font><\/p>\n

Huckabee, Copeland, Keyes, et al ride in on their \u00e2\u20ac\u0153values\u00e2\u20ac\u009d
\nhorse with their altruistic (your life belongs to others not yourself) messages
\nmeant to obfuscate and disarm.  <\/span>Lucky for
\nus the Founders never heard of it, nor would they have fallen for it, because \u00e2\u20ac\u0153altruism\u00e2\u20ac\u009d
\nwas not invented until the late 1700\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s by Auguste Comte, a philosopher
\ndedicated to the destruction of reason and individualism.<\/font><\/p>\n

It is astounding that in 2007 so many people still listen
\nto sanctimonious words and don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t bother to check facts, fail to understand or
\nvalue our Founding Principles, and hand over their independent thinking to
\ncon-men and criminals because it is easier than doing the work necessary to
\nwade through all the lies and subterfuge. The path of least resistance is also
\nthe fastest path to destruction.<\/font><\/p>\n
