I sincerely hope you had nothing to do with this piece of
\nediting of the federal laws I cite in my letter to the editor.   <\/span>It appears to be an effort to obfuscate the
\nlaw which makes anyone hiring\/harboring,\/transporting any illegal alien a felon
\nwho should be punished by 10 yrs in jail + $2,000 fine per illegal alien.  <\/span>Sec. 1324a is presented as 1324c, and 1324 a
\nis never quoted.<\/font><\/p>\n

The first duty of media is to inform the public of facts,
\nnot to act as propagandists or covers for special interests.  <\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

I am notifying you of this incident first in hopes that
\nthere is some reasonable explanation, and I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t mean a retraction in fine
\nprint.<\/font><\/p>\n

The taxpaying citizens of this state and country have every
\nright to know the immigration laws and who is breaking them and why.  <\/span>We, after all are the ones burdened with
\nillegals\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 education, welfare, education, penal, etc. costs\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6not the crooks who
\nhire and exploit them.<\/font><\/p>\n

You should be outraged.<\/font><\/p>\n

I look forward to hearing from you very soon before taking
\nwhatever step needs to be taken to right this egregious wrong.<\/font><\/p>\n

I believe citizens have the
\nright and duty to know immigration laws and demand enforcement, such as <\/span><\/strong>8
\nUSC Sec 1325 –<\/span><\/strong>Any alien who enters U.S. other than at port of
\nentry shall be subject to civil and criminal penalties, fines and imprisonment.<\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

 <\/font><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Section 1324a Any<\/span><\/strong> person who knowingly hires\/harbors\/ transports any illegal alien
\nis guilty of a felony punishable by 10 years jail + $2,000 fine per illegal
\nalien.<\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n


\n Section 1324c <\/span><\/strong>ALL officers
\nwhose duty it is to enforce criminal laws shall have authority to make arrests
\nfor violation of any provision of this section (no special training required).<\/o:p><\/font><\/span><\/p>\n

Section 1644 <\/span><\/strong>No local ordinance, rule, or measure shall stop law enforcement
\nofficers from enforcement of this section\u00c2\u009d<\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

Title 19, USC \u00c2\u00a7 1459<\/b>  <\/span>Reporting requirements for
\nindividuals  
\n   (f) Civil penalty. Any individual who violates any provision of
\nsubsection (e) (illegal entry) of this section is liable for a civil penalty of
\n$5,000 for the first violation, and $10,000 for each subsequent
\nviolation.  
\n (g) Criminal penalty. In addition to being liable for a civil penalty
\nunder subsection (f) of this section, any individual who intentionally violates
\nany provision of subsection (e) of this section is, upon conviction, liable for
\na fine of not more than $5,000, or imprisonment for not more than 1 year, or
\nboth.  <\/font><\/p>\n

In my opinion these laws clearly state the illegality of
\nand penalties for illegally entering our country and for aiding, abetting,
\nhiring, sheltering, or transporting illegals. Our problem is blatant
\nnon-enforcement, nothing else.<\/font><\/p>\n

\n    I believe citizens have the right and duty to know

\nstates that any alien who enters the United States other than at a port of
\nentry shall be subject to civil and criminal penalties, fines and imprisonment.

\n    Section 1324a says that all officers whose duty it is
