Columbia, SC – The following group of Arkansas businessmen supporting
Presidential Candidate Mike Huckabee held a news conference today to respond to
negative attacks from the Club for Growth against Huckabee. 

Lu Hardin– President of University of Central Arkansas and
Former Director of Higher Education; Bill Schwyhart– Former
Wal-Mart Executive and current member Pinnacle Group Partner; Curtis
Coleman – President/CEO Safe Foods Corp.; French Hill,

The group released a list detailing the supporters of presidential
candidate, Mitt Romney who have been financing a negative ad campaign against
Huckabee.
Question:   What does $585,000 buy you?

Answer:  It bought Mitt Romney backers a smear job against Mike
Huckabee orchestrated by Beltway Insiders.
The Club for Growth has an affiliated 527 group, Club for Growth.net, running
anti-Mike Huckabee ads in early primary states.

–  At least $585,000 in contributions from Mitt Romney financial
backers. 

–  Club for Growth has spent $750,000 against Governor Huckabee in
Iowa, South Carolina and Michigan.

To whom it may concern:

Questions and data regarding the use of the state’s new
Beechcraft King Air, Tail number N390SP.

 

Was it coincidental that after I filed an FOIA request on
Nov. 17, 2007 asking for specific information regarding the use of the new King
Air and what print material and media advertising in Spanish and the scope of
the distribution by the state police, there appeared shortly thereafter, Dec.
10, 2007 a fragmented account of Gov. Beebe’s flights in the King Air in this
newspaper?

 

A copy of our FOIA requests can be found at arkansasfreedom.net .  Reading the FOI response it is obvious that
Col. Phillips/Bill Sadler did not provide all the information requested.

 

My FOI request only called for the log of the new King
Air. Before the plane was purchased, Gov. Beebe stated he would pay for any
personal use of the state’s airplane.  I
FOIed immediately asking the State Police did the new plane have a commercial
ticket as required by FARS  91 and the
answer from Sadler was no.   Therefore;
if the Governor flies in the King Air for personal use he is violation of FARS 91.  One of the specifics in my FOI request
concerned any personal trips made on the plane. 
That question was not answered.

 

My FOI request for logs dated from May 14, 2007, the
first flight for the new plane, except for a 30 minute instructional flight by
two state police pilots.  Your record of
flights for the same period of time showed 52 flights with a Hobbes time of 53
hours, 18 minutes.  My numbers taken off
the official logs showed 63hours, 30 minutes…a discrepancy of 10 hours, 12 minutes.  The question then becomes, who used the plane
for 10 hours, 12 minutes and for what purpose? 

 

The Hobbes meter showed 105 hours, 30 minutes of flight
time on the first 30 minute training flight. 
For a new plane to have logged that many hours before being delivered to
the new owner is curious, i.e. is this large number of hours before delivery of
a new airplane the norm?

 

The ASP’s stated cost per hour for flying the King Air is
$875.  I do not believe this to be an
accurate figure, e.g. the state maintains at least 2 pilots and 2 co-pilots to
fly the King and there are other associated costs not figured in.

 

On May 30, 2007, W. Phillips, C. Barfield, M. Davidson,
T. Knuckles, J. Howard, and G. Grimes were flown to Huntsville, Arkansas.  No charge and no specific answer regarding
the purpose of the flight.

 

June 26, 2007 Lt. Gov. Bill Halter and one staff member
flew to Rogers, Arkansas.  The account
status: Paid.  Who paid?  How much? And to whom?  A violation of FARS 91.

 

Most of the logs did not indicate the names of the
persons on board and none contained the specific purposes of the flights.

 

Also troubling is what I regard as more abuse of the
state’s airplane.

1.      
Using your account of flights, 12 of those trips
should have been made in an ASP vehicle.

a.       Some
of the trips could have possibly been made quicker in a vehicle in the time it
takes to pre-flight the craft, file flight plans, get take-off clearances, etc.
and cost the taxpayer much less.

2.      
The Governor takes an inordinate number of state
employees on his trips. Why?

3.      
Has he used the new airplane for personal use?

4.      
ASP has lighter aircraft and helicopters, and
would save taxpayers thousands of dollars if he would use those instead of the
King Air, e.g. a Cessna 172.

And finally, who is legally authorized to fly in the
state’s new King Air?

 

If your newspaper would address these concerns, it would
serve to put the Governor on notice that the abuse of the airplane will not be
tolerated by him and others, as done by his predecessor,  for so-called “official” and personal
jaunts.  A 9 place aircraft is not a play
toy and the citizens need to know what these so-called “official” jaunts are
for, specifically.  (“Official Business”
as the only explanation is not sufficient)

 

I sincerely hope you will do some investigative reporting
on the use of the taxpayer’s airplane.

I get policy.  He is listed on the CFR
webpage indicating he has CFR approval. 
His speech to Center for Strategic and Intl Studies mirrors Bush
Policies. 

 

He was keynote speaker
and  promoted ‘open door’ policy at LULAC
convention June, 2005 stating  ‘Arkansas
needs to make the transition from a traditional Southern state to one that
recognizes and cherishes diversity “in culture, in language and in population”….’and
make sure our economy has the necessary work force.”   LULAC thanked Huckabee for ‘standing with
them’

 

His career has14 ethics
complaints: one failure to declare all income; and questions of his integrity
from management of campaign cash of a non-profit organization to subsidize his
income;  destruction of his Governor
state computer files.   He never
cooperated with Ethics Commission but did attempt to shut down all
investigations into his violation.  

 

Recommended more than 1,000
prison pardons and commutations  – most
infamous Wayne DuMond raped/killed a Missouri woman after Huckabee supported
his release. 

 

Arkansas knows him as a thin
skinned liberal, a high-tax, protectionist, big-government advocate of a strong
hand who never ordered State police to stop illegal aliens. 

 

He defied the U.S. and AR
Constitution and pushed with Mexico for a $1.2 million Consulate Little Rock
office resulting in criminal organizations like Acambaro Restaurant Chain to
operate in AR with money laundering

 

He told AR Legislators ‘that
to deny Illegals benefits would be un-christian, un-American, irresponsible and
anti-life.  He denounced all bills
attempting to stop illegals from voting and getting benefits as “It would rile
up those who are racist and bigots.”   He
said ‘large companies would not come to AR if ALL citizens were not allowed to
vote.’   He advocated (2005) the tuition
benefits, pell grants and scholarships, prenatal care, welfare for illegals by
taxpayers and deceitfully lobbied for amnesty bill. 

 

Campaigning he views the
pathway to legality as taking ‘days’ not years.   They go home, then come back to join the
workforce (like McCain-Kennedy bill)He believes illegals should earn
citizenship – not deportations.

 

Arkansas
Taxes Up $642 Million Under Huckabee, Report Shows
In November, Huckabee repeatedly defended his record, calling himself a
“fiscal conservative” and pointing out that he had cut taxes 90 times
as governor.
But according to data compiled for Cybercast News Service by Stephen Slivinski,
director of budget studies at the libertarian Cato Institute, the tax hikes
Huckabee supported between 1997 and 2007 were far heftier than his tax cuts.
(Slivinski compiled his report from tax records available at the bi-partisan
National Conference of State Legislatures.)


The numbers show that taxes increased at an average of $15 per person per
fiscal year during Huckabee’s tenure (1996-2007). The net tax cuts supported by
Huckabee from fiscal years 1997 to 2007 totaled $222 million, while net tax
increases supported or unopposed by Huckabee totaled $864 million.


The net increase in taxes supported by Huckabee, therefore, equaled $642
million. With a population slightly declining – from 2.7 million in 1997 to 2.5
million in 2007 – net taxes collected in Arkansas rose by more than $3 billion
during Huckabee’s gubernatorial tenure.

 

 

.NOTE:   A Liberal Politician translates that a
Christian  heart for the poor should
mandate massive wealth redistribution, as if state-coerced transfers of other
people’s money are acts of Christian compassion.   There is nothing compassionate about sapping

 Editor Greenberg,  all three. The cause? Appearing with the likes

borders, later he introduces a 9 point plan to deal with the illegal Mexican invasion.  The plan allows illegals to go back to Mexico,
turn around and reenter the U.S. legally.

Open-borders Politicians,
you being an example, have long parroted “we are a nation of immigrants”.   A number of your constituents and my friends
are complaining that letters addressed to you demanding you secure our state
from the illegal Mexican and OTM invasion are routinely given nebulous replies
of “we are a nation of immigrants” and/or “it’s the Feds responsibility”.
Neither of those positions is correct, however; you just might not understand
the former.  So may I explain why we are
not a “nation of immigrants” but a nation “with immigrants”?

 

Simply stated, to test the
truth of the “nation of immigrants” creed, ask yourself what a nation of
immigrants would be.  Answer: absent of a
founding group or majority, it would be no nation at all, just a rambling
gathering of people of different races, religions, and nationalities united
only by their presence on the same piece of land.  With no native culture to provide national
unity the population would fragment on racial and ethnic lines, with groups
pursuing their own interest at each other’s expense (precisely what politicians
such as yourself are bringing about).

 

Our history is a story of
a varied nation with a distinct founding culture, one that has remained
dominant while assimilating.  It is being
not so subtly changed by the millions invading our Republic legally and
illegally, and these late arrivals are certainly not assimilating. We are
morphing into a nation of sub-cultures at the globalist direction with minions
such as yourself willing to carry out their edicts and destroy our once great
republic.

 

Immigrants are people who
leave one country, one society, and move to another society.  But there has to be a recipient society to
which the immigrants move.  In our case,
the recipient society was created by the settlers who came here in the 17th
and 18th centuries.  It was
the settlers’ Anglo Protestant society and culture that attracted subsequent
generations of immigrants to this country. 
Roughly half of Americans still have roots in the founding stock whose existence
the “nation of immigrants” creed denies.  Politicians, you being one, are perfectly
willing to destroy the founding stock who have been responsible for the
creation and sustaining of this once magnificent republic, to now turn it into
a multi-cultural gulag, with no discernable achievements at any level by these
3rd worlders.

 

America’s integrity is
strained by multi-culturalism caused by millions of Third Worlders, legal and
illegal, penetrating our shores and not acculturating.

Governor, you’re taking
advantage of our citizens and hell-bent on a course of destruction, civil
unrest, for your personal parasitic gratification.

 

You have every legal right
to secure the borders of this state and protect the citizenry and most
particularly the middleclass.  We have
personally provided you with the federal immigration laws on more than one occasion
and as the former Attorney General you are aware of the laws (8 USC, Section
1325, 1324a & most specifically 1324c & 1644), which you have chosen to
ignore. So far you have proven to be nothing but a slick talking political
coward/opportunist.

 

We are currently besieged by
illegals from Oklahoma & Tennessee and you turn your cowardly back on this
escalating crisis.  You are betraying
your constituents and sworn constitutional duties and paying homage to Arkansas’
crime families, i.e. Tyson’s, Stephen’s, George’s, Simmons’s, Wenderoth’s, et
al.

 

Your statement “legal is
legal, and illegal is illegal and we must determine what is legal” is wearing
very thin, along with the bald-faced lie that “it is a federal problem”.  With this bit of stupidity, you are simply
saying that we citizens should recline on our haunches and be pounded into the
ground by these 3rd World hordes.

 

You have an opportunity to
work with Missouri Governor Matt Blunt to fashion effective legislation dealing
with this illegal crisis and at the same time calling a special session for
enactment. Of course, you and your partner in crime Morill Harriman would be
under the gun from the criminal elements of our society as mentioned above.

 

Do you have the courage to
change course and represent your state constitutionally and responsibly?

Like
most of you I have become totally frustrated and agitated as I have watched the
presidential debates and campaign.    I have been alarmed with
both the increased deceitfulness of the candidates and the naiveté of the
electorate.  The honest, real conservative candidates can never make it
into the top tier because the dishonest ones, with the backing of the media,
can convince the public they walk their talk – which is nothing but lies.

 

As
we in Arkansas, who know Mike Huckabee so well, watch him deceive the
evangelicals and conservatives  with one false assertion after another
about his convictions and policy, it makes many of us even more cynical because
we  wonder if all the other candidates are just as dishonest as he. It
appears that the candidates who are best at bewitching the public will be the
winners. (See list of articles below for the basis of this assertion about
Huckabee)

 

Tonight
I am wondering if Huckabee and Hillary get the nomination, just which one can
deceive the most voters.  I wouldn’t give Huckabee a chance other than the
fact that he equals the Clintons in that ability to deceive.  It is truly
an alarming experience just to watch him at work and see him using his religion
and the Southern Baptist organization as a basis for his deception. 
Numerous people will be disillusioned and turned off religion by these
tactics. 

 

I
have concluded there is not one of the top four Republican candidates that
would not shift the Party to the left, leaving the conservatives with no party
to support.  Even worse, each candidate would bring more disillusionment
both to the public and Republicans, as their true colors are revealed in
office.   

 

But
then I was encouraged as I thought about the hope that we conservatives still
have that somewhat transcends the parties and the political corruption.    I remember
what happened with the illegal alien amnesty bill and how the grassroots fought
back and WON.  Every Republican candidate soft on illegal aliens
ran from their former stands and became blatantly dishonest in trying to
convince the public that they were always tough on illegals and wanted no part
of amnesty. 

 

This
is our hope – grassroots effort.  We can do it again and again and again. 
The computer has helped us tremendously in this effort.  We can now be
alerted hourly by grassroots organizations (which are already operating full
force).  No Party or President can stop us if we will just continue to act
as we did on that issue. 

 

Last
year I came to the conclusion that in Arkansas conservatives would never
succeed on the issues through elections, but we could win through ballot
initiatives.   In my frustration with the national election I had forgotten
that lesson and about the power of the grassroots.  Initiatives and
grassroots efforts on issues transcends politics to a great degree and are far
less susceptible to lies because people are in touch  with the reality of
how those issues are affecting their lives.

 

So
even though I will still spend some of my time and energy working in the
political election arena, I will spend a greater amount of my time on issues
and grassroots efforts.  

 

Following

address.  Huckabee’s win as governor was one of the most exciting events
of my life, but the way he has governed has been one of the greatest
disappointments and surprises of my life.  He corresponded with me on
educational issues before he became governor; I was on his education transition
team when he became Governor; and I even went to the Governor’s office and
worked with a member of his staff on educational issues a few times.  I
finally had to recognize that he had totally deceived me and other conservatives
and was pushing Hillary’s educational plans faster than Hillary could do so
 herself – because he was a Republican. In fact, Arkansas has increased in
government control in education  more rapidly   in the last few
years than any state in the nation.

Arkansas Taxes Up $642
Million Under Huckabee, Report Shows

In November, Huckabee repeatedly defended
his record, calling himself a “fiscal conservative” and pointing out that he had cut
taxes 90 times as governor.

But according to data
compiled for Cybercast News Service by Stephen Slivinski, director of budget
studies at the libertarian Cato Institute, the tax hikes Huckabee
supported between 1997 and 2007 were far heftier than his tax cuts. (Slivinski compiled his
report from tax records available at the bi-partisan National Conference of
State Legislatures.)

The numbers show that taxes
increased at an average of $15 per person per fiscal year during Huckabee’s
tenure (1996-2007). The net tax cuts supported by Huckabee from fiscal years
1997 to 2007 totaled $222 million, while net tax increases supported or
unopposed by Huckabee totaled $864 million.

The net increase in taxes
supported by Huckabee, therefore, equaled $642 million. With a population
slightly declining – from 2.7 million in 1997 to 2.5 million in 2007 – net taxes collected in
Arkansas rose by more than $3 billion during Huckabee’s gubernatorial tenure.

The Arkansas
state government is turning out any number of documents, advertisements, etc.
in Spanish, most in violation of U.S. statutes and Arkansas law.   All for the benefit of the major crime
families in the state and lesser lights. I speak specifically of the Tyson’s,
George’s, O.K. Foods, Simmons, etc.

As Attorney
General, you must be aware that we are a sanctuary state for
illegals—translation, a rogue state government.

I would like
for you to provide me the authority by which the state is printing and
distributing applications for voting rights printed in Spanish and directed to
the Secretary of State’s Office Voter Services.

Additionally,
the Arkansas State Police is distributing material regarding driver’s licenses
printed in Spanish. 

Since
becoming a naturalized citizen an individual must have some degree of fluency
in English: I can only conclude that you as the chief law enforcement agent of
the state are aware of what I perceive to be criminal involvements with a host
of Arkansas state entities. This conduct only serves to increase the magnet for
the illegal Mexican invasion, particularly since Oklahoma & Tennessee have
passed stringent illegal immigration laws and Missouri is getting ready to do
the same…all of which is resulting in a tidal wave of illegals entering our
state and we middleclass citizens are bearing the burdens of their healthcare,
education, housing, pre-natal, welfare, ad infinitum.

I’m looking
forward to your opinion regarding the state’s providing voting rights and
driver’s licenses to illegals.

website, in his campaign material, or repeated on his lips. You won’t find
his Minuteman spokesman mentioning the contents of this video either.

Under the Huckabee plan, the illegals return within
days. They will not be giving up their jobs or leases. They will not be
packing their bags.

And when they return, they will be immune from
immigration enforcement and on the “path to citizenship” giving
America 15-20 million new voters who were previously illegal aliens.
