Government schools out of control

December 11, 2009

Back in the day (educational history through mid-60’s),
public schools were just that…public and run by district citizens—nearly 100%
graduated. Teachers were qualified and students were educated in core curricula.
In deference to today’s teachers, they were not harassed and harnessed by
government.

In those times administrators presented needs/concerns to
local school boards which were generally legitimate requests.  Not so today.

The state and Feds have taken over every facet of education,
substituting purposely revised programs which thwart pupil’s ability to think.  Government education has become one of the
largest criminal enterprises in our republic, enabled by AEA, NEA.   Revisionism and indoctrination is the matrix
now.

What is the true purpose of grief counselors, policing,
diversity/sensitivity training, thought crime agents, dumbed-down curricula and
tolerance for slovenly dress, tattoos/ piercings, bad behavior?   BILLIONS spent on infrastructure… in
Arkansas, misleading the public regarding academics—35% dropout rate.  Misguided citizens tolerate because layers of
bureaucracy insulate against citizens’ concerns.

Summing up failures; government schools’ principal concerns
are funding, expansion, and political correctness, resulting in impenetrable fiefdoms.

Case in point:  A
Freedom of Information request was filed re: UAFS Chancellor Beran’s travel,
expenses, and purposes from 01/07-10/09. Days away…2007, 86; 2008, 130; 2009,
102; …equals 3.4 months per year.  7
trips/nights undisclosed.  Travel
expenditures 2007 = $44,658; 2008 = $58,743; 2009 = $34,321, totaling $137,722
for 2 yrs, 10 months (160+nights).

Three trips to the Orient, occurring each October (China,
Japan, India, Korea, Viet Nam) with wife and others.

Priorties?

It is said he is courting industries and oriental students,
why?  The U.S. ranks between 18th-29th
internationally in academic achievement…trillions subsidizing the failed national
system.

Points:  No meaningful
oversight, government unions, Globalist agenda, erasing borders, no public
discourse, disregard for excellence in academics driven by political
correctness.   Who pays?

Government schools/Nurseries for Indoctrinization

                                                                                                November
3, 2009

The Nurseries for Indoctrination: Fort Smith government
school Superintendent revises his vision for the future (Times Record,
11/3/09), i.e. intensify the drumbeat for egalitarianism.

An introduction to Gooden’s vision, statistics are:

1.      Caucasian
student numbers fell from 56.5% to 47%

2.      Non-English
speaking homes rose from 3,029 to 4,178

3.      In
2004 45% of students eligible for free meals, presently 68%.

Questions: Are Caucasians/Whites transferring to private or
homeschooling environments, or is the illegal Mexican and OTM invasion
increasing and changing the percentages?

4.      Why
not a demographic re: the 68% on free meals?

Gooden’s and the attending groups’  â€œRevise Vision for the Future” is an exercise
in multi-cultural/diversity political correctness, compliments of taxpaying
citizens.

Gooden stated “the district’s mission is to ensure academic
and personal success for each student today and in the future”.  Say what?

Chancellor Paul Beran expressed another academic jewel “every
individual is important and will be treated with dignity and respect”, i.e. treating
everyone the same (egalitarianism) kills merit/effort and dispenses unearned
rewards.

Another gem, Gooden said “employees will undertake the same “Re-Envisioning
process”.

These nebulous statements are designed to confuse and
intimidate the public, as well as mask the true intentions…which are to pursue
an anti-individual, anti-knowledge, anti-American agenda.

I hear no politicians, bureaucrats, or other government
employees ask the questions WHY such a sordid state of affairs, the cause and effects,
actively engaging dialogue for solutions.
Gooden, the AEA, the NEA and the state legislature, the federal
government only know one battle-cry—FUNDING/EXPANSION!

Politics & Education is good “bidness”, but not for taxpayers

Politics and
Education is good “bidness”
                                May 31, 2009

“Elected and appointed officials see pay stall” according to
Fort Smith Times Record.  Not from my
vantage point.

It is an accepted fact that all governments are bloated.  The city of Fort Smith is no exception.  The city’s population is some 80,000, but may
not be accurate due to the thousands of illegals present. The city has 900 full
time employees, plus a undisclosed number of part-time employees. The 900
full-time employees factors out to be 1 city employee for every 89 citizens.

A Times Record article dealing with salaries alluded to the
fact that the city pinched pennies in early 2008 while the private sector
SEEMED to be enjoying normal pay raises—not so, regarding the private sector. But
in late Fall the 2009 budget made its debut, private-sector employers
conducting massive lay-offs.  Examining
these 2 quotes the city Board of Directors, in the midst of a recession/depression,
awarded 2 ½ % pay raises to city employees and it is observed that there were no
city lay-offs of any magnitude.  Why
raises and no layoffs in city government when the free enterprise producers are
being removed from the job force…you know, the ones who prop up this
dysfunctional government tent?

Looking briefly at the Arkansas State government, Gov. Mike
Beebe created 2,044 new state government positions between Jan. 12, 2009 to Jan
22, 2009.

It is noted that Mayor Baker is given a $400 per month car
allowance and has an administrative assistant.
Personnel costs for his 2-person office total $78,780 with operating
costs of $166,300; the mayor’s overall budget is $245,080, plus a $10,000 yr
salary—obscene.

The 5/31/09 edition of the Times Record reports Mayor Baker
touting a continuation of a 1% sales tax for continued “wet weather improvements”
which is a proper government function.
In that same time frame, the Mayor and the Board approved an $8,000
grant to a Pro-Am Bowling Tournament, along with a $4,500 grant to help pay
transportation and lodging costs for non-city personnel to participate in an
All-American City Award to be held in Tampa, FL.  It is this type of unseemly conduct that
makes it difficult to support city government.
The $12,500 in terms of city government is not serious money, but
coupled with a plethora of other non-government functions, it rapidly becomes
very serious money.

Finance Director Kara Bushkuhl indicated the 2009 budget is
devoid of a hiring freeze (why not?) and seemed to say government employees’
salaries should be predicated on the private sector (in a pig’s eye).   These folks seem to forget that it is the
private sector which generates the funds that keep these governments tents
burgeoning while private sectors do not enjoy the protection rackets that
government employees have.

Turning to the “education” morass.  Educantists enjoy the most blatant protection
racket of all the government cabals and is a colossal failure.  One only has to look to the AEA and the NEA
unions and the fact that 50% of all high school graduates need remedial
tutoring before higher education acceptance. Note also the dropout rate for
Blacks and Hispanics in government schools—over 50%.   City, county, state and federal governments
continue to pour billions into physical facilities while diluting academics.
The colleges of education are short on academics and long on indoctrination,
i.e. revision and fanning the flames of multi-culturalism.

It is noted that Superintendent Benny Gooden enjoys a
$214,131 salary per year, plus the use of a car—obscene.

Gooden said, in trying to justify his absurd salary, that
“his job description covers several dimensions—responsibility for nearly 14,000
students, and oversight of 1800 regular employees—also obscene.

Gooden goes on to say his job is interacting with every
government agency….that guarantees education failure.

What Superintendent Gooden fails to state is that he has 4
assistant superintendents…count them…FOUR, and a plethora of Dept. heads and
principals.

Fast forwarding to the Univ. of Ark. at Fort Smith, which
has developed into a bureaucrat’s dream.
For example: an overview of Chancellor Paul Beren’s resume indicates his
career up until this time was low level bureaucracies.  Arriving in Fort Smith as UASF
Chancellor—Beren hit the jackpot at $261,029 per year.  A breakdown of the total compensation shows a
base salary of $177,000, benefits totaling $40,618, plus allowances for
housing, a car, and membership dues compensation totaling $261, 029.

The above numbers do not take into account Beren’s worldwide
odysseys in pursuit of Globalism, which occur on a regular basis—guess who
pays.  Another puzzling example is the very
expensive electronic billboards around town…what potential student is
influenced by a billboard?

All governments are expanding at a horrific rate while U.S.
producers are dropping like flies. Another example: the City Administrator, the
Mayor  & Directors are formulating a
scheme to add on another tax, i.e. the “restaurant tax”.  The tax, at least part of it, would be
directed to salvage the near defunct city auditorium.

Observe: the funding of non-essentials, and there are multitudinous,
e.g. increasing the numbers of city employees, and the peripheral expenses
required to initiate and maintain these expansionary measures.  while at the same time the Mayor, Directors
and City Administrator are formulating the scheme to add on yet another tax,
i.e. the “restaurant tax”.  What a great
idea when restaurants are struggling to stay in business and the customers are
struggling to afford eating out!  Another
brilliant nail in the coffin.

City Administrator Kelly comes forth with another
blockbuster statement, “if passed the tax would be optional”….translation—if
you don’t eat in a Ft. Smith restaurant you won’t have to pay the tax.

I would suggest the Fort Smith City Government engage in only
traditional city government functions.
Should the case arise, there would be plenty of funds available for
subsidizing the struggling City Auditorium.

Citizens with a short memory, the Ft. Smith Convention Center
cost approximately $33 million, the exact same price that Bud Walton Arena
cost, while the City of Hot Springs Center cost about $17 million…care to
compare?  And then there is the Lee Creek
fiasco, and the beat goes on.

Members of city government; are you familiar with the 8
points of “Sustainable Development”, if not please acquaint yourself.   . http://www.newswithviews.com/Shaw/michael9.htm     Sustainable Development is dedicated to
destroying individual rights and free enterprise.  The city of Fort Smith is actively engaged in
at least ½ of the 8 point agenda such as   â€œPublic/Private Partnerships” (Fascism) which
eliminates free enterprise.

You gentlemen, knowingly or unknowingly are swallowing the
Marxist bait.

Mayor & City Officials stick to legitimate city
business!

Joe McCutchen

Frontal Attack on homeschooling and family rights

The government school illusion, or is it delusion?                                              March
14, 2009

The “skinny” on Arkansas HB 2144:  the Bill is meant to destroy homeschooling
and bona fide education, and replace them with government indoctrination and
more illegitimate fundraising for government schools.

Shortly, we will put out a list of the numbers of government
employees residing in the Arkansas Legislature.
Active government employees, retired government employees and a plethora
of retirees who failed to list or name their profession or job description…the
numbers are indeed appalling/revealing.

Statistical data tells us that many enrollees in colleges
& universities must be remediated and that those who choose colleges of
education are at the bottom of the academic spectrum, and it is these types who
exert much of the dominance/influence in the Arkansas legislature. Of course,
there are many exceptions to the rule, who are genuinely dedicated/qualified to
teach our youth, but are hamstrung by the system.

Rep. David R. Cook, a retired school administrator (whatever
that means), has come forth with HB 2144.
Year after year federal and state legislatures remove one or more
timbers from the family structure.  Cook,
in all his wizardry, proposes to remove a family’s right to pull a child out of
the failed, bloated government schools.
You know, “No Child Left Behind” teach the test, alter scores, dilute and
revise curriculum, and results in 50+% requiring remediation to enter higher
education.  Nice job, David.

For a family to have the right to remove their child from a
public school during the school year, that parent or parents would have to get
permission from a public school “tribunal”.
How long before you self-serving parasitic creeps arrive at the point of
child delivery to kidnap the baby for Marxist indoctrination, regardless of the
parents’ wishes?  Will you bring the
local Swat Team to assure compliance? Some call it “Cradle to Grave”.

Rep. David R. Cook has hired a private lobbying group to drum
up support for his Bill.  We smell the
stench all the way to Fort Smith.  Who
are they, who pays, how much, and why? The public has every right to know what
elected representatives are doing and who foots the bills.

More Gestapo tactics:
Apparently the Superintendent of Mena schools emailed the most chilling
statement urging support of the government school criminal cabal.  “We want to improve our number of graduates
and students going to college.” (More funding?)  â€œHow are we going to do that when we
allow children to leave our (whose?)
schools at the
WHIM of a parent?”  Allow?
Whim?  Who the Hell does she think
she is? This reveals a dangerous, tyrannical, anti-individual freedom,
communistic mindset, in our opinion.

The Government school system is all about increasing the
size of the multi-cultural gulag, the dumbing-down of students, making them
think they need sensitivity training, crisis counseling, breakfasts &
lunches, psychological & other medical services, translators, illegal
social security cards, school police, and other destructive tripe, all in the
name of fundraising, government expansion, egalitarianism/collectivism, i.e.
Anti-Americanism.  We never hear the
question…why is the cause and effect of these multiple “crises “never”
discussed objectively by the Governor and the state legislature?  You fools in the legislature just keep doing
the easiest job in the world…spending other peoples’ money.  You know and we know, it is all by design and
the pitchforks are getting sharper every day.

Government school systems, commonly called public schools,
are a colossal cruel hoax.  The AEA and
the NEA are nothing more than fundraising power grabbing Marxists, and
certainly do not want the competition offered by homeschoolers.  Government schools are not only a failed
educational process in the traditional definition, but have become the
fountainhead of anti-individualism and anti-excellence. They should be defunded
immediately.

Members of the legislature, keep your soiled hands off
homeschoolers, you have already encroached way too far.

“To achieve world government,
it is necessary to remove from the minds of men, their individualism, loyalty
to family traditions, national patriotism and religious dogmas.”  Dr. G Brock Chisolm

Con-game winning? Even educators often don’t understand what they are teaching

One of the latest trends in University curricula has nothing
to do with academics.  The programs teach
students to form “community partnerships”, to learn “public purpose”, and to “mobilize
their communities”.

UAFS belongs to a “cooperative initiative” of universities, the
“American Democracy Project” which utilizes various speakers who fulfill
Chancellor Paul Beran’s wish that “students awareness of the world is increased,
enabling their graduation as globally competent citizens”.  One such speaker was Little Rock Mexican
Consulate Consul Andres Chao, “Distinguished Global Speaker” series.  The consulate was created “to assist Mexican
nationals who reside in the area” (illegals), and to provide the “Mexican
expatriate community…with official Mexican national identity cards”. (illegals)
Another speaker was Harry Boyte, founder of the “Center for Democracy and Citizenship”,
and “Public Achievement”.

Beware Buzzwords. Notice the same vocabulary and techniques
as Saul “The Red” Alinsky’s “Industrial Areas Foundation” based in Chicago
which teaches how to establish grassroots organizations to agitate for social
change…challenge the systems, most notably Capitalism. Obama and Hillary were
both avid students.

A UAFS delegation, headed by Beran, visited eight Asian
cities in 16 days, arranging student/faculty exchange agreements.  Who pays for speakers, programs, elaborate
trips abroad, etc? No word, but it’s a sure bet that taxpayer money is
subsidizing much of this while citizens are suffering from job loss, credit
& financial crises, while arrogant politicrats flit around the world for “noble”
causes.

If you have trouble understanding the descriptions of these
programs, they are not designed to be self-exclamatory.  Subterfuge and propaganda abound for a
reason, which is to keep actual goals under wraps, because many citizens don’t
want to be collectivists/socialists/fascists but fall for altruistic sounding
rhetoric.  Their brains were shriveled in
public school and logic is beyond their comprehension…all by design.  To what end?
The destruction of individualism.

American taxpayers don’t seem to know who is killing them.

Attention taxpayers, large and small, who don’t work for the
government or get welfare checks of any kind.

You’ve probably been too busy with kids, cars, making
payments to realize how exploited (used/cheated) you have been and are now.

Example: it was your dollars paying for OK Foods 3 day party
for thousands of illegal workers in your Ben Geren Park, guarded by Sebastian
County Sheriff Atkinson and troopers.

How about your payment for illegals’ education, healthcare
and forms /instructions printed in Spanish for driver’s licenses, voting,
healthcare, etc?

Been in the E.R. lately? How about Wal-Mart, et al with
illegals spending food stamps and WIC coupons?

English is required of a naturalized citizen, so a
non-English speaker is likely illegal.

Who are you working to support?  Your family or people who invade illegally?
How much do you get from them?  Are they
your responsibility?  Who worked for your
paycheck and why should any of it be taken from you by force for undeserving others?

Americans used to know that redistribution of money by force
was evil and branded Communism/Nazism. Americans used to know that their
earnings were their own, but no more.
Many don’t want to take responsibility for themselves, so they vote for
politicians who promise to take care of them…..destroying individualism, pride,
rule of rational law, i.e. our Constitution.

Being a parasite is much easier than being a worker/producer,
but those on the beginning rungs to upper middleclass are the first to suffer
the effects of illegals…your neighborhoods, gang activity, your tax payments,
schools, and most important, your children’s educations and futures.

Are you just going down with a whimper and let the
“officials” use/abuse you, or are you going to hold the politicians/bureaucrats
feet to the fire and preserve the individual rights of this country?

Barbara McCutchen

Fort Smith Superintendent loves illegals

Times Record 1/6/8 “Fort Smith School Board members to reach
a decision by fall on how the district would handle its increasing student
population”.  Name the population.  Illegals?

Gooden and the Board are aware the unending demand for
taxpayer dollars will not cease until cause and effects are addressed.  Gooden refuses to inform citizens of the
sordid state of affairs in public education. His position, demanding more tax
dollars, e.g. Gooden stated “we’ll take all we can get” referencing illegals.

Gooden opined “we need to know where we are going” and “we
need to know where we’ll be in the big picture”. Huh?

Benny, Einstein said, “only two things are infinite…the
universe and human stupidity”…you personify the latter.  Envision China, India, and Mexico.

 2000-2010, Hispanic
population will grow another 34%, 4 times faster than native population,  20 years  teen Hispanic population projected increase is
50%, compared to a native 6% overall.
Over half of children born to illegals in the U.S. are born out of wedlock
(religious leaders?) and increasing exponentially.  Arkansas’ legislature and Governor stupidly
awarded free prenatal and ancillary care to illegals, escalating to over 7,000
per month, plus anchor babies.   The
illegal Hispanic tsunami is producing juvenile delinquents, gangs, school
failure, welfare, more teen pregnancies. Arkansas’ Hispanic birthrate has
increased by 40%.

Benny, you have forgotten who’s paying for the empire
building, and your obligations.   All the while the school board is salivating
at rewarding you another unearned, obscene pay raise. Taxpayers are finished
subsidizing a failed, dysfunctional school system. We’re also sick of law
enforcement agencies scoffing their sworn duties. Benny, your obligation is to educate
American children. Send the bills for the illegals to the crime families, i.e.
Tyson’s, Wenderoths, Simmons, et al.

Citizens, we are falling on our own sword by immigrating
ourselves into this “Human Katrina.”

A microcosm of U.S. schools in Ft. Smith, compliments of PC politicrats/LTE

Headline: Gooden: “Schools will follow nation’s immigration
laws”.

Those contending citizens should not be forced to subsidize
costs of illegal aliens in public schools, Gooden retorts “that ship has
already sailed”.  Gooden feels that
absolves him of all responsibility.  Dr.
Gooden, the Titanic also sailed.

Are citizens expected to continue to be destroyed by the
illegal invasion?  Gooden states
“children who walk through the schoolhouse door—rich, poor, English-speaking or
not—that’s who are taught because it is the law, and because it is the right
thing to do.”  What law, who says, who
pays?

Gooden stated more than 30 languages are spoken among Fort
Smith students,  45% of Ft. Smith
students speak little or no English,  60%
students live in poverty.

 2007 there are40 lead
stories in the Times Record and Democrat relating to hunger, e.g. “Medicaid
hospitals in red”, “Arkansas loses 22,000 jobs in January”, “study shows hunger
rampant”, “State 45th in child well-being”, “Study: nearly 300,000
Arkansans hungry”, “Homeless count up; many more on brink”, etc.

What’s your solution Dr. Gooden?  More funding for the bloated government
schools?  Administrators are willing to
break taxpayers’ backs to continue to enlarge this failed, top-down,
politically corrupted concubine.  Besides
the multi-cultural morass, curricula are diluted, revisionism is rampant,
numbers are cooked, and outcomes skewed…all contributing to short-circuiting
our children’s minds.  Graduation rates
dropped 17% since 1992. Rates slipped 10% last year.

With the prevailing environment it is impossible for
children of citizens to achieve any semblance of a real education, younger
teachers are victims of the same system.

Government functionaries are complicit in dumbing-down and
propagandizing children’s’ minds.

Multi-culturalism’s goal is to teach that non-Western
cultures are as good as, if not better than Western culture.  Multi-culturalism is no boon to education, but
an agent of anti-Western ideology. Government lies.
