Corruption amuck !

The Arkansas Legislator’s money changers & scofflaw U.S. Senator John Boozman. September 23, 2018

The ARDEMGAZ in today’s edition listed a number of convicted elected State Reps & Senators, but failed to I.D. the worst offender, U.S. Sen. John Boozman.

Former State Representative of the House from 2011 till 2018 (Speaker from 2015-2018) Jeremy Gillam seems to be the principal actor of this true narrative.

Gillam was the principal recipient of several thousands of dollars from State Rep. Joe Jett and in what appeared to be quid pro quo deal through appointments to the House Revenue and Taxation committee Chairman Joe Jett and was later reappointed during Gillam’s tenure. The amount of the “loan” was $16,000 to help Gillam‘s financially struggling berry farm.

When Gillam resigned in June he was appointed to the politicians’ lucrative dumping ground known as the University of Central Arkansas at a salary of $130,000 per year + perks.

Senate Pro Tem—elect Sen. Jim Hendren loaned his friend Gillam $4,000 and stated he “never expected it to be paid back” as is the case with other friends he has or may loan money to.

Other generous legislators were State Reps David Branscum, Bill Gossage, & Jon Eubanks—all wrote $700 checks to Gilliam to satisfy state tax liens. Due to state law all these listed cash amounts could be much more. Gossage was really a government stooge & double-dipper, while at the same time serving as Assistant Superintendent in the Ozark public school district and a state rep drawing full salaries for both positions and upon leaving Gossage was appointed by Gov. Hutchinson as his Deputy Chief of Staff for “External Operations”. A 3rd dip, depicting a useful government payback tool.

By the way, Jeremy and his brother sold their berry farm for $1, 364,925.

Incidently Senator John Boozman (a 24 yr. incumbent), on behalf of friends Jeremy & Doug Gillam of Gillam Farms of Arkansas, contacted the U.S. Consulate in Monterrey, Mexico circa Aug. 2017, and arranged to obtain 80 illegal alien Mexican workers for the Gillam brother’s struggling (?) berry farm. Were those 80 illegals ever returned to Mexico?

What Boozman & the Gillams did is a federal offense, so stated by 8USC, Section 1325, 1324a, & 1324c! An example of the government’s Protection Racket.

A list of recent convicted or indicted government “servants”: Besides Jake Files (why isn’t Lee Webb listed with this august body?), Sen. Jon Woods, Rep. Micah Neal, Rep. Hank Wilkins, Rep. Eddie Cooper, under indictment Rep Jeremy Hutchinson, & Rep Mickey Gates.
