Government school “Bailout/Stimulus” Grand theft

April 12, 2009

A prescription for continuing and increasing government corruption—all
levels, in this case Arkansas.

This grand theft had its geneses in Washington, DC,
originally known as the “Bailout”, more recently known as the politically
correct description “Stimulus”.  It is
grand theft by any name.

The portion of the “Bailout” discussed in this missive is
the “education” Bailout dedicated to Arkansas. The amount is $570 million—over ½
Billion!

Putting this kind of money into an already failed government
school system, formerly known as the Arkansas Public School System, by any
standard an unconstitutional body.  Bear
in mind, two years ago this same government school Protection Racket received
nearly $800 million.

Ask yourselves how is shoveling these bucks into the black
hole of government schools going to create jobs for Arkansans?  The answer:
it will not.  It is a payoff and
vote getting scheme to keep the AEA & NEA in line for the Democrat Party,
compliments of the producers, i.e. those of us who create, sustain jobs and
otherwise generate capital which subsidizes this burgeoning cancer.

Citizens should be outraged, even more so than they were
about the failed banks and their CEO’s Bailouts and obscene bonuses. The
spending orgy about to be instituted is orchestrated by Education Commissioner
Ken James and his enablers…the drummers include the Governor, State
Legislature, AEA, NEA, school Administrators, etc. In this context Governor
Beebe controls 25% of the payoff.

Some specifics: As a substantial citizen taxpayer, even
in the teeth of this grand theft, I would have hoped there would be some very
definite articulated protocols in the spending of such a vast amount of
capital. Here’s what James serves up.  Prefacing
the listing of protocols, some of James’ outlandish quotes must be noted. James
said he is “urging school district leaders to seek community advice on how to
spend the money”. Who are the people to be chosen? I bet we can guess. He goes
on to say that there are four “Filters”(more P.C.) established by the U.S.
Education Dept. for the money. The 4 Filters are:

1.       Does
it improve the economy?

2.       Is
it a short-term investment with long-term benefits?  (Benefits for whom?)

3.       Is
it allowable under the terms of existing federal programs and the Stimulus Act?
(Federal programs have nothing to do with sustainable jobs)

4.       Can
it lead to improved student achievement?
(Achievement in what and how does money equate to education?)

James goes on to say that this money will better prepare
students for college and careers, tracking student progress, improving
instruction, improving teacher quality, now comes his kicker, some good ole
government Newspeak (P.C.), including “teacher quality and equitable distribution
of highly qualified teachers among schools”.  I do love this one, “offering intensive and
effective interventions to insure student learning”.  Statements like this are designed to make
students’ parents feel educationally inadequate, while elevating their own
educational prowess in the eyes of the parents.
Dr. James, I was under the impression that all this was already supposed
to be in place.

James also indicated that this money could be used for
employee bonuses tied to particular outcomes. Are these bonuses not a form of
bribery?  â€œParticular outcomes”, more
politically correct Newspeak. Care to elaborate Dr. James?

James called for innovation and results “Let’s just not
spend this money the same way we’ve always spent money”.  Absolutely an admission that the education
cabal is a colossal exercise in waste, expansion, power, and greed, i.e. a “Protection
Racket”.

James said about 1,000 school districts met at No. Little
Rock’s School Dist. East Campus and discussed what they could do with the ½ billion
spending orgy. There was a great deal of conversation regarding teacher bonuses
and parking lots. The teachers are quick to imitate the bank CEO’s. May I say,
the economic producers of our society are dropping like flies, while
self-serving government parasites of all stripes are lining up at the taxpayer
trough and demanding more largesse.  All
are over-compensated, most of all, Dr. Ken James. The ragmen went to private
sources to qs his salary.

Little Rock School District, the largest in the state,
will receive more than $20 million—is this not sobering?  Particularly in the light that the L. R.
school district has been held hostage by the NAACP for ½ century and poured out
millions in lawsuits.  Another sobering
fact:  $111.1 million will be available
for schools to improve academic performance and narrow the achievement gap.
Have these so-called educators been in a holding pattern and only after they
receive these millions can they improve academic performance? By the way, what
is the “achievement gap”?

The Arkansas Legislature has been pouring billions into
the Arkansas government school system, with roughly the same enrollment
(435,000) for decades and the just-concluded legislature foolishly injected
more millions into the failed system, replete with millions more of unearned
largesse to the teachers’ health insurance program.

Question: Why should government employees receive all
manner of protections, while those paying the bills have none?

If James and his minions had any honor they would reject
the grand theft of taxpayer money.  The
government school system in Arkansas is more than fully funded.

Citizens, the Protection Racket will live on and has just
about led to the destruction of our Republic. If you do not soon stimulate your
cerebral capacities we will soon evolve into a third world, multi-cultural
gulag.  Translation:  Kick these bums out now and reject all
federal funding.

This Bailout/Stimulus has nothing to do with creating,
sustaining jobs and stimulating the economy, it has all to do, by design, to
destroy Western Civilization and implement Globalism by further crippling the
minds of our youth.

Dr. Ken James, a well traveled academic, states in his
capacity “he will work cooperatively and collaboratively with all stakeholders as
we implement reform initiatives across the state”.  Question Dr. James, who are all these
stakeholders and precisely what are the state’s reform initiatives?  Lots of politically correct bloviating.  James is supportive of the No Child Left
Behind Act, which guarantees the failure of public education simply because
public education has manifested itself with mostly detritus, i.e. watered down
curriculum, indoctrination courses, many classrooms filled with foreign
nationals, many of whom are illegals and that in itself guarantees academic
failure, coupled with “feel good” social programs which claim to produce
self-esteem.

The public school system is a massive cancer which has
morphed into a behemoth which has drained objective thought capacities for at
least 3 generations out of our kids, resulting in those 3 generations devoid of
historical knowledge and analysis and no foundation to act and think
objectively.  Our pocketbooks and
mentality could be restored with a return to sane proven methods, and a stake
driven into the heart of this government school vampire.

Kindest regards,

Joe McCutchen
