Congressmen Boozman, Ross, Berry, Snyder October 29,
2009
Everything
that emanates from the Democrat party is either a lie, a grasp for control, or
outright thievery.The Republicans the
past 8 years receive the same description.
The
Public Option and the Opt-Out are one and the same; an incremental design to takeover
American healthcare, the endgame is Control.
Three
of the Marxist thugs, Obama, Reid, & Pelosi, and now you Senator Pryor,
speak of the government as a source of competition. How dare you to think the
citizenry are foolish enough to buy into this lie.The federal government, with each of your
help, has put this republic on the precipice of total destruction.
Each
of you, keep your filthy hands out of private healthcare. If you were truly interested in reform you would
investigate Pharma as a start, (I speak from experience), they are equally
corrupt as Wall Street and the other recipients of Bail-outs which were made
against the will of the people.
The
six of you are advised to make a very quick determination as to who you are
going to serve.
To
the six of you, healthcare is not a weekend headline.
Senator
Pryor, don’t think for a moment you are going to get away with one of your
backdoor entrances and vote changing schemes.
Times
Record headline today, “Pryor weighs in on Public Optionâ€â€”typical Pryor
cowardice, i.e. fence-riding.
Deporting all illegals would go a long way in solving any problems.
Not only “Taxation without Representationâ€, but “Taxation
into Submissionâ€.
The Fort Smith city government and their hired shakedown
artists.10/27/09
In the throes of a recession/depression that shows no signs
of abating these shakedown artists are looking at raising taxes $11.55
million.These artists are enamored with
the bureaucratic scam of the phrase “Quality-of-Placeâ€, cover slogan.
Priorities you say?The
data listed below, compliments of City Administrator Dennis Kelly.
1.$3.3
million for trails
2.$1.5
million for riverfront promenade.Who
owns the riverfront? And what does the
promenade include?
3.$2.5
million for the city’s ½ share contribution to an aquatic center in Ben Geren
Park. What you are proposing results in
double taxation. Again, no vote by the taxpaying citizens?
4.$1.1
million per year for that white elephant called the Convention Center.
5.$1.7
million for a riverfront sports venue (?) Who owns the riverfront?
6.$250,000
for the U.S. Marshall Museum originally billed as a private donors project?
7.Another
$100 grand per year for the city’s share of aquatic center’s operation.
The above can only be called an illegal, criminal shakedown
and a total disregard for the producers.
City Administrator Kelly, pushing for a 3% prepared food
tax, allows, and not to worry, 40% of the revenues would come from
non-residents.Mathematical
wizardry.
Kelly, with another one of his ethical gems, states the city
should strong arm the citizens by the administration passing the first percent
to cover the Convention Center operations, then humor the citizens by letting
us vote on the other two percent.
The conduct of the Fort Smith city government is an exercise
in Chicago-style thuggery.F. S. city
government has far too much of our money and too many employees.Furthermore; some microscopic oversight of
Department heads and their activities is warranted and long overdue. In
aviation parlance that is called “situational awarenessâ€.In ethical parlance, it’s called “Transparencyâ€.
It’s obvious, particularly with the existing economic
climate, families struggling mightily, that you gentlemen have no respect for
the citizens and interested only in feathering your individual fiefdoms.Witness recent salaries increases for city
employees—a slap in the producers’ faces.
Those of you who are interested in destroying Altes
Sanitation, step forward like men, and give your reasoning. What you are
proposing results in another double taxation.
All government programs are failed ventures, accompanied by
insatiable appetites for more power, more money, more expansionism, this
government is a classic example.The
easiest job in the whole world is spending someone else’s money.
I will not bore you with all the “fact-findingâ€, “task
forcesâ€, “retreatsâ€, “study groupsâ€, etc. precipitating more expansionary
programs.If the city was truly
interested in the well-being of its citizens it would be finding ways to cut
programs and taxes in order to ease the financial burdens on taxpaying
citizens.
SebastianCounty Sheriff Frank Atkinson & the Constitution 10/17/09
Times Recordedition Sat. Oct. 17, 2009: Chief DeputyTom Young speaking for Sheriff Atkinson is quoted as saying, “Law enforcementofficers shall always remember that he/she has sworn to uphold the law, abideby the law and protection the rights of all people as afforded by theConstitution of the United States of America and the Constitution of the stateof Arkansas.â€
Is that afact?
A Freedom ofInformation request was filed Oct. 17, 2007 regarding O.K. Foods, Inc. “picnicâ€at Ben Geren Park, Fort Smith, Arkansas, where an estimated 3,500-4,000Hispanics, mostly illegal aliens, were in attendance.
The FOIasked for the following:
1.Correspondence between SheriffAtkinson & O.K. Foods, Inc. or Russ Bragg, or Collier Wenderoth.
2.Any orders or directives to Sheriff’spersonnel with references to providing officers at the picnic Sept. 29, 2007
3.Copies of documents showing financialarrangements or costs for providing officers at the picnic
4.Copies of any correspondence betweenthe Sheriff’s office and the Sebastian County Judge’s office.
The Sheriff’soffice responded in 1 ½ sentences. “No records exist as requested in items 1-5in your letter.†“If I can be of any service to your (sic), please contact meâ€. Signed “Respectively, Tom Young, ChiefDeputyâ€. How do they know who to pay orhow much if they don’t keep records, much less where and for what purpose theirvehicles were used? His answer can only be construed as a cover-up. I wouldpoint out to Young, regarding his response, that mine was not a letter but aFreedom of Information request.
It turns outthat the county sheriff’s office from on-sight observances at the picnic hadnumerous and various types of county vehicles and onsite personnel. Deputies were commandeering most of the parkfor the 3 day event. Officers wereperforming traffic control on the highway leading into the park. It remainsunknown who cleaned up the park and who paid for it. Additionally, there were a number of publicschool buses providing unknown services.
O.K. Foods,it was discovered, paid the miserly sum of $1,000 for the 3 day event at BenGeren Park. A call to the SebastianCounty Judge regarding these illegal activities between the Sheriff’s officeand O.K. Foods produced no information. The Judge said he was not aware of the event, but this was not a onetimeevent as it turns out. This is a case for malfeasance & misfeasance—the illegalexaction of taxpayer dollars, utilizing taxpayer vehicles, taxpayer personnel, taxpayer facilities and commandeering a public use facility for the purpose of2 criminal operations—O.K. Foods’ hiring of illegals, the county Sheriff’soffice protecting the illegals, and of course the criminal illegals themselves.
Back toAtkinson, sworn oaths to the Constitution, and the rule of law.
The authority for Sheriffs and other local lawenforcement officers to detain and charge illegal aliens and those whofacilitate their continuing presence in the United States is contained inexisting law and constitutional authority. It does not appear to dependon Executive order or orders of the Chief of Homeland Security.
“Any person who . . . encouragesor induces an alien to . . . reside . . . knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that such . .. residence is . . . in violation of law, shall be punished as provided . . . for each alien in respect towhom such a violation occurs . . . fined under title 18 . . .imprisoned not more than 5 years, or both.”
(Everything we need to secure ourborders & sovereignty is contained in the rest of 8 USC)
The Sheriff hasALL the authority he needs for sweeps, arrests and actions in pursuit thereof. America is the object of invasion with an incremental agenda
Churches have become a reflection of our corrupt
governments, organizations, & corporations. The bottom-line is all
that matters. To hell with struggling taxpaying citizens, as well as
morals, ethics, sovereignty, our standard of living, our rule of law, the
Constitution and our Founding principles and stock.
Many have become nothing more than an extension of
government school indoctrination into various forms of Collectivism,
self-destruction, and slavery. Citizens who are forced to pay for illegal
aliens are slaves and the exploited aliens are slaves as well.
The enemies within are far more dangerous than concocted or
real foreign ones.
As always, follow the money and constantly question….who
benefits??
Jean Allen replied:
You are so
right. I’d like to take my grandson to a Southern church with a pastor
I can respect. However, it’s hard to sit in the pews and listen to the
Christian-Zionist heresy presented as if it were the word of God.
I am fortunate to have
located a website called <whtt.org> where
the roots of Christian Zionism are exposed. This has helped me
tremendously.
The preachers are
beginning to “mention” the Constitution and our Founding Fathers; but
then they conclude with the Zionist propaganda that the most serious threat
comes from Islam, rather than our own government (an extension of political
Israel). There is no way that these preachers and their congregations will get
off the pews and fight for freedom until
they stop doing Israel’s bidding and fight our own corrupt government.
It’s
frustrating and it’s tragic. Christians don’t want to get into the
divisive Zionist debate; But, until we admit that Washington, D.C. is an
extension of political Israel in the form of AIPAC, ADL, UCLU, etc……we
can’t fight for our survival.
Zionist
Christians are being used by political Israel to turn America into an
anti-Christian nation. Until we can convince the Christians that the
United States of Israel is
more a threat to our freedoms than Islam, we will continue to aid our own
destruction.
Christianity has become meaningless, We should call ourselves followers
of Christ to distinquish ourselves from them.

IMHO, the problem with most churches is that they
incorporate under
501(c)3 and thus become a creature of the state and transfer
their
allegiance from Christ to government. They then have to preach as the
government commands and not address subjects that the
government does not want exposed.

EVANGELICALS: Your Leaders
Endorsed Mass Amnesty Today
By Roy Beck, Updated Thursday, October 8, 2009, 6:41
PM EDT
Leaders
of most of the nation’s evangelical Christians made a shocking endorsement of
illegal-alien amnesty today in Senate testimony.
Their
spokesman — the head of the National Association of Evangelicals (NAE) — said
high immigration is increasing membership in evangelical churches and is good
for the economy.
Polls
have shown that evangelical Christians in the pews are the MOST likely to
OPPOSE amnesty. If you are one of them, you may want to contact your church
leaders immediately.
The
NAE phone number is: 202-789-1011 — Fax number is
202-842-0392
Please
be respectful and thoughtful in your comments to the NAE. I would suggest that
only evangelical Christians make the contacts.
NATIONAL EVANGELICALS PRESIDENT SAYS PRO-AMNESTY SUPPORT WAS
UNANIMOUS
Rev.
Leith Anderson, president of the NAE, was invited by Sen. Shumer (D-N.Y.) to
testify in favor of the Senate immigration chairman’s push to create amnesty
legislation this fall.
Sen.
Shumer asked Rev. Anderson if many of his colleagues agree with his support for
legalizing 12-20 million illegal aliens and increasing the legal immigration
far higher than the 1 million a year current level (the two key components of
“comprehensive immigration reform”).
Rev.
Anderson answered that there was no dissent in adopting the pro-amnesty
resolution on the 75-member NAE board of directors.
ZERO
dissent!
SOME OF THE DENOMINATIONS & ORGANIZATIONS BEHIND THE AMNESTY
PUSH
Rev.
Anderson described the NAE as:
. . . a network of 40 denominations comprising more than 45,000
local churches located in every congressional district and every state. The NAE
membership also includes evangelical universities, seminaries, ministries,
local congregations, and individuals.

If you have a connection with any of these denominations,
you may want to contact them and ask if they really want to side with the
U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the National Council of La Raza in
flooding the country with millions more legal foreign workers while 15
million Americans are looking for a job but can’t find one.
There
is a good chance that even the leaders in your national church agencies are not
really aware that their representative voted for a massive amnesty and increase
in foreign worker importation.
Rev.
Anderson is Senior Pastor of Wooddale Church in Eden Prairie,
Minn. It describes itself as non-denominational with some Baptist
connections. http://www.wooddale.org/default/index.cfm
EVANGELICAL OFFICIALS REFUSED TO EVEN HEAR MORAL ARGUMENTS FOR
REDUCED IMMIGRATION
I
would note that NumbersUSA and others have made requests to NAE for several
years to present our moral arguments for less overall immigration to protect
the stewardship of the nation’s natural resources and to protect the
nation’s most vulnerable citizens. The NAE has resolutely refused to hear
any voice but pro-amnesty voices, as far as we have been able to tell.
When
you read Rev. Anderson’s prepared testimony, you find much that is thoughtful,
including:
Evangelicals do not condone law breaking. . . . Evangelicals
believe that government is a gift of God for the common good. Borders are
necessary for public order. We support intelligent enforcement of our nation’s
immigration laws as long as the enforcement measures are consistent with
respect for human dignity, family values and sanctity of human life.
—
Evangelicals President
But
then Rev. Anderson told Sen. Shumer that the Gospel requires that Christians be
willing to forgive illegal aliens for breaking immigration laws which means
that:
We believe that undocumented immigrants who have otherwise been
law abiding members of our communities should be offered the opportunity to pay
any taxes or penalties owed, and over time earn the right to become U.S.
citizens and permanent residents. The process of redemption and
restitution is core to Christian beliefs, as we were all once lost and redeemed
through love of Jesus Christ.
—
Evangelicals President
Furthermore,
the 75 national evangelical leaders agreed that immigration laws that have
allowed legal immigration to soar from a traditional average of 250,000 a year
to more than 1,000,000 a year are too strict and must be changed to allow many
more foreign workers to enter.
The
staff at NumbersUSA are members of the Evangelical, Catholic, Jewish, Mainline
Protestant, Liberal Protestant and no religious faith. We all believe in ethical
systems that say it is wrong to run an immigration policy that
hammers down the weakest, poorest and unemployed members of our society while
making it impossible to achieve environmental sustainability. It grieves our
hearts to see evangelical leaders join national Jewish, Catholic, mainline
Protestant and liberal Protestant leaders who have already fully endorsed
amnesty and massive increases in foreign workers and U.S. population growth.
We have no doubt that all these national religious leaders
have failed in their duties of fact-gathering and thoughtful analysis. They
bring discredit on their religious faiths from their sloppiness in truth
seeking and their lack of intellectual integrity.
We
call on all NumbersUSA members of faith to point us to leaders in their
own religious traditions who are open to discussing the full ethical issues
involved in immigration.
The
NAE’s call for forgiveness seems to ignore the Gospel context of “go and
sin no more.”
We
do not call for a policy that locks up and throws away the key on foreign
citizens who have broken our immigration laws. Most of us are willing to
let most illegal aliens return to their home countries under no penalty
whatsoever.
But
the NAE has proclaimed that our forgiveness of illegal aliens should allow them
to keep the very things they broke the law to steal: U.S. jobs and access
to U.S. infrastructure.
How many billions of people in the world would like to line up
for that kind of forgiveness?
We
have pled with the NAE leaders (as we have with leaders of all other faith
traditions) to talk to them about how mercy shown by governments can easily
create injustice against a society’s weakest members. In general the
Judeo-Christian scriptures call on individuals to show mercy but governments to
provide justice.
When
the government shows mercy, it allows people to break the rules. But if
breaking the rules harms law-abiding members of society, that mercy creates an
injustice against them.
I
am especially devastated by the national evangelical leaders’ callous disregard
for the U-6 unemployment rate of nearly 20% — job-seekers (active and recently
discouraged) who cannot find any job or who have been forced into involuntary
part-time work.
It
is incredible to read Rev. Anderson’s testimony talking about the
failure in having enough immigration visas to fill the needs of the U.S.
business community!
I am embarrassed for him and his 74 colleagues. I am sure
they do not mean such inhumane treatment of their fellow Americans. And I am
sure they dug themselves into this shameful hole with the most well-intentioned
of shovels.
I
suggest that the readers of this blog consider forgiveness toward these
religious leaders while thoughtfully guiding them to see all the shades and
complexities of the immigration issue to which they weren’t exposed by the NAE
staff and the open-borders lobby which led them to this pro-amnesty
position.
Senator Blanche
(Delta Duchess) Lincoln:October
11, 2009
The Duchess has isolated another new mathematical/economic theorem.
Re the C-5 & the C-17 aircraft
The Duchess exclaims that replacing old C-5’s with newer
C-17’s would be a money saver in the end….???? How?The C-5’s are perfectly
flyable and will be for many years.
Senator Lincoln says “because, you see, closing the C-17’s
production lines and re-starting them later would cost a lot of dough.†(Democrat-Gazette 10/11/09) Along with her “degrees†in mathematics &
economics, The Duchess also shows she has a PhD in Alchemy. Could
it be that the Duchess is a victim of the government schools? You know, 2 + 2 =
5….close enough for government work!
As Chairman of the AG Committee, it’s a sure bet that she
uses the same mathematics in subsidies directed at the Delta Corporate Welfare
State.
Senator Lincoln’s vocal expressions do give us a clue as to
why our Republic is bankrupt.
It is my sincere hope that you will defend Americans by
voting against that Israeli Bill (ADL/SPLC) which destroys freedom of speech
and has the capacity to incarcerate any number of citizens who criticize governments
at all levels or question Jews on any issue, e.g. the Holocaust, and allows the
all powerful Jewish lobbies to dictate the tenor of business, i.e. imprisonment
of American citizens.
The ADL (Anti-Defamation League) states with the passage of
this Bill they will “educate†members of congress and prosecutors on how to
further enforce this legislation.
You are aware of course that the Israeli Bill is attached to
the F-35 legislation.
To three of the Arkansas Six and to U.S. citizen taxpayersOctober 10, 2009
We see that the House just passed the Defense Appropriations
Bill which contains the traitorous, horrendous “Hate (thought) Crimesâ€
legislation. We see also that the ADL (Jewish
Anti-Defamation League…one of some 40 ant-American, Israel First highly
influential organizations) stands poised to move into the next phase of their
plan to destroy our republic….which entails training lawyers, prosecutors,
judges on how to facilitate and pursue the odious Orwellian thought crime law
with a vengeance.Guess who will be the
targets of this legalized lynching….dissidents, especially if they are
middleclass white descendents of the Founding stock.
All Arkansas Democrat U.S. Reps. Berry, Ross, Snyder voted FOR this absolute
death blow to free speech. This will
give the “officials†the tool they’ve been salivating for to muzzle and punish
those who question the policies and actions of the all powerful government. It is also an implement for personal revenge
against individuals who have criticized certain “officialsâ€.It is politicized “hit man†methods, the use
of government force against defenseless citizens in order to punish dissident
thought, actions and make examples of those who would stand for our Founding Principles
in order to frighten others into submission. Witness the unjust incarceration of border agents Ramos & Compean
for protecting our border from illegal aliens and illegal drugs.
The absence of ethics, conscience, morality, and honor are
breathtaking and frightening.We are
governed by people who will literally do ANYTHING to feather their nests and
protect their crooked behinds.The giant
protection racket, including government, academia, media, entertainment,
corporations, organizations and churches, makes them feel bullet-proof and able to spit
in our faces consistently with impunity.
Citizens, this monstrosity of a bill goes to the Senate to
act upon this next week.We can’t undo
what the traitors in the House have done but we can let our Senators hear from
us.We must vote out virtually ALL
incumbents…they got us into this death-dive to the abyss and must be held
accountable.
Let the traitors who voted for the bill hear from you and
your senators who will be voting soon. Below is the record, let it speak for
itself.
A retraction of our
correction:It turns out that Mike
Huckabee did speak at the Eagle Forum conference in St. Louis in September and
that members of the E.F. board did indeed invite him.
To a number of members
credit, they voiced their concerns and facts concerning Huckabee, but since
they had no vote they were overruled and he was invited. The sad aspect of this is that the leaders
overruled the grassroots members, especially those in Arkansas who had up close
and personal knowledge of the man and his record.Does this not resemble our top down
governments who act contrary to the wishes of the citizens who subsidize them?
We understand that several
members left the conference just before Huckabee was to speak, to their
credit.We also understand that the
person who was most responsible for his presence was nowhere to be found the
following.
Not to belabor the point,
but this is exactly how hypocrites, law breakers, corrupt people get elected to
high offices and proceed to work their will on the hard-pressed citizens. We will do our best to keep this from happening
in the case of someone we unfortunately know so well having witnessed the
damage he did to our state as Arkansas Governor.
We take no pleasure in this
report, but facts are facts, and we sympathize with the honest members of Eagle
Forum who endeavored to abide by the facts.
Kindest regards,
Joe & Barb McCutchen
arkansasfreedom.netexposing corruptionPlease view the myriad of evidence and facts
regarding Huckabee’s illegal, unethical gubernatorial activities.
Ms. Goodin,
According to this excerpt,
it was indeed EF who invited Huckabee the hypocrite to speak at your
conference. We relied on you for the
truth when you told us he was not invited by EF but some other group. If this is true, that was not true.
We wish to retract our
retraction if that is the case. Can you
provide proof that Porter was not responsible in any way for his appearance,
therefore his endorsement by EF?
Something is indeed strange
when Phyllis herself accused Huck of ruining the Republican Party in Arkansas,
among other things and then he is invited to be a featured speaker at your
national conference. Something smells
not only in Denmark.
The public & donors
have been betrayed time & again by national organizations who pose as one
thing and behave as another. It also
comes to our attentionthat the fundraising
neo-con Alan Keyes is or has been on the EF advisory board, which is another
very disturbing facet of this seemingly fabrication of a patriotic, true-blue,
flag waving, god-fearing organization.
When fundraising or
face-saving becomes the thrust of any person or group, their noble sounding words
ring hollow and they betray their followers or believers.
Our focus is exposing
corruption and we don’t take kindly to being misled and without a very timely,
rational, factual explanation we shall retract our retraction.
Kindest regards,
~Barb & Joe

Correction:it comes to our attention that Eagle Forum
was not a party to engaging former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee as one of
the keynote speakers for the upcoming conference in St. Louis “Take Back
Americaâ€.There are other organizations
involved in this conference and we do not know at this who invited Huckabee.
We are pleased that Eagle Forum had no part in choosing
Huckabee, who in our opinion defied the U.S. Constitution and committed other
offenses while serving as Governor of Arkansas, described below and in more
detail at arkansasfreedom.netin Arkansas’ Own Trail of Tears, etc.
We do not change our opinion regarding his inclusion in what
is billed as a patriotic endeavor.Words
are cheap, actions tell all.

Attn: “Conservativesâ€July

We have heard that the keynote speaker at the Eagle Forum
convention in September will be former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee.
Surely the good folks of Eagle Forum are not aware of
“Reverend “ Huckster’s past deeds and character?
He does indeed have the “gift of gabâ€, but ethics and
principles are no impediments to his personal gains and goals.Words are cheap, deeds tell the tale.
Start with no Doctorate from Seminary (drop out after 1
yr.)declaring him a fully qualified
minister, despite his pretense otherwise. Move on to glaring behavior as governor, e.g.his aggressive, highly questionable penchant
for receiving “gifts†of all kinds; his use and abuse of taxpayer owned
property, especially state police owned aircraft for his personal travel
desires (even when campaigning for president); his unconstitutional trip and
agreement with a foreign government (Mexico….Vicente Fox) to facilitate an
illegal Mexican Consulate in Little Rock using taxpayer money and property for
the benefit of illegal aliens and a foreign power, which defies the
Constitution Article 1, Section 10; his aiding and abetting the flow of illegal
aliens for exploitation by Arkansas corporations by not enforcing existing
Federal immigration laws (8 USC); by courting LULAC to hold their national
convention in Little Rock with him as a speaker; his using tax money to crush
government computer hard drives which had records of his activities; ad
infinitum. An opportunist in the first degree. (See arkansasfreedom.netfor documentation and many further examples
& details…read in particular the article Arkansas’ Own Trail of Tears).
Eagle Forum places their organization and members in a very
precarious position by legitimizing a breaker of the U.S. & Arkansas
Constitutions and many other laws as well. It certainly appears that Huckabee has caught on to the neo-con
fundraising scheme of many other groups and individuals who cash in on religion
and patriotism.Their methods are slick,
unethical, and anti-American, but naïve folks often fall for the inspiring sounds
emanating from professional con-people and give them praise and donations.
We strongly urge the Eagle Forum not to sully their
reputation by honoring a known scam artist with their endorsement. As the former governor of our state we know
him quite well as you can surmise from our website. If mainstream media was doing its job, all of
this would be well known, but any thinking person realizes and recognizes the
giant protection racket which includes all government entities, the media, many
corporations and organizations…they all cover for each other while tricking and
picking the pockets of producing citizens.
Re: Judith Hansen’s 10/02/09 column, declaring “those who have more than they need
are morally obligated to see that those who do not have enough should have at
least clean water, adequate nutrition, shelter and basic healthcareâ€.
Collectivism SOUNDS noble; problem is implementing it reduces
everyone to the lowest common denominator, as witnessed around the globe today,
i.e. equal misery.
Who does Ms. Hansen envision coordinating all this giving
and taking?Who decides which people
have “enough†and which don’t?The
government?They already do, so what’s
her beef?
The government has created so many “entitlement†programs
(notoriously fraudulent, wasteful, inefficient) placing such a heavy tax burden
on productive citizens that most can’t give to private charities (where helping
the needy properly belongs) as they might like. The percentage of truly indigent afflicted is
small and easily cared for.
Hospitals are going broke and closing down all across the
nation due to non-payment by illegal aliens and others.
The results of this myriad of “entitlements†are hostility
from recipients growing to expect more and more unearned largesse, and a huge
impediment to hardworking, taxpaying citizens…punishing them for their
production and rewarding others, regardless of merit. A lose, lose debacle.â€Welfare†is a character
killer, plain and simple.Self-respect
must be earned; it cannot be given.
Ms. Hansen says we “are already paying for some of these
thingsâ€.No, we are already paying for
ALL these things.Never in history has
so much money been thrown at every “social problem†imaginable and never has
there been so much dysfunction, delusion, irresponsibility, injustice, and
outright corruption top to bottom.Further,
the more money thrown at government programs the more disgracefully deviant
they become.
Just because you exist Ms. Hansen, does not give you the “rightâ€
to one minute of anyone’s life.
Fort Smith city government’s Battle Cry—Keep Them New Taxes
Commin’!
The City Administration, et al, has an absolute
comprehension that spending other people’s money is the easiest job in the
whole world–$16,000 for Pistachio Trees at the Landfill?
1. West End ….the political/economic ownership of downtown
Fort Smith, the CBID, stated they had no money to put into this quaint little
venue and the CBID, i.e. Richard Griffin, declared “disregard financial
concerns and look at West End as a recreational amenityâ€.Griffin further went on to state that West
End “sparkles†and he continued by saying “where did we get the idea that parks
have to show a profit?â€West End is not
a public park.
Griffin’s awfully tight with his money and very loose with
taxpayers’ money.Griffin obviously
understands that West End is a financial loser and I’m amused that Mike Alsup
pulled figures out of the sky and reached the conclusion that $45,500 would be
the operating expense and revenues would be within $500 of break-even.Spoken like a true bureaucrat.
The Times Record stated to its readership that “Phil White
offers to lease the property cheaply to the city just to keep it openâ€.If anybody should keep it open it should be
the owner.By the way, how much is “cheaply
2. Ben Geren Park…..before getting into Ben Geren
and the salivating city & county governments, I keep seeing the phrase “Quality
of Place†being bandied around. The first question that comes to mind is how
much did it cost taxpayers for some low level bureaucrat to create this touchy
little phrase?Fess up, where did you
get this phrase and while you are at it, tell us what it really means?Reminiscent of government school phrases
which are designed to make the taxpayers look simple and parasitic bureaucrats
& politicians look smart.
It appears the deal has been cut for the city to annex some
of Ben Geren and join hands with the county to create a huge expansionist
program.
City Administrator Kelly already has the restaurant sales
tax passed, the revenues calculated and spent.
I will say here that I’m madder than hell that any
individual that is a ward of the taxpayers, advocating a tax increase in these
tough economic times, should be kicked out in the street forthwith—Kelly and
others fit this description. He goes on
to say “750,000 for 2 girls’ softball fields, $2 ½ million for an aquatic
center, and oh yes, 10 or more soccer fields (no cost given purposely?) specifically
for illegal Mexicans & OTM’s, and poses questions, do we have more illegals
in these environs than reported or is the city anticipating another groundswell
of more illegal Mexican aliens…which is it? If the county Sheriff, the Fort Smith Chief of Police, the FBI and other
alleged law enforcement agencies were doing their jobs, soccer fields would never
be in the mindset, re:multitudinous
fields.
I have a suggestion, let the open-borders crowd, the
slave-labor employers, the destructors of our standard of living, and those enamored
with the “quality of place†jargon, pay the price for ALL the horrific costs
illegals create.I’m speaking of course
of Tyson’s, Simmon’s, OK Foods, Butterball, etc. and a host of construction
companies in the area, as well as organizations like the Chambers of Commerce,
LULAC, MALDEF, LaRaza, Catholic Charities, and the Arkansas Friendship
Coalition.
