Attorney General Dustin McDaniel July
25, 2007
Dustin,
I stated in my last fax that I would not disturb you
again, but would observe, to see if you continue your non-position attitude as
Arkansas’ Attorney General. However; I
was not aware of Jim Parson’s request for legal investigations into former Gov.
Huckabee’s conduct in the destruction of multiple hard drives, which must be and
has to be public information—a crime.
In my judgment the most important aspect of this public concern
dealt with the King-Air. You made no
mention of the logs for the King. Did the State Police keep detailed logs on
the plane required by the FAA and were those logs, if any were kept, destroyed
by the woman in charge of the destruction of the hard drives? Also, were there logs kept by the state
police identifying the person or persons on board the craft, the destinations
and purposes? It is more than curious
that the hard drive peculiar to the King was destroyed. Why? These questions demand answers to the
taxpayers who foot the bill and your answers were not satisfactory. Another non-position.
In this same context, Huckabee gave $10,000 of taxpayer
money to the city of Little Rock dedicated to subsidize the illegal Mexican
Consulate (Article I, Section 10…U.S. Constitution). At the same time, the former Mayor of Little
Rock gave $50,000 taxpayer dollars to the Consulate. Why did you not pursue these related activities
concomitantly and inform the taxpayers?
Do we have here another case of selective law enforcement
with political operatives being protected…i.e. a government protection racket?
It is imperative for you to reengage your investigation
if you are to have any credibility.
Kindest regards,
Joe McCutchen
