Tax slaves to subsidize education in Mexico?

Is this the legacy Gov. Mike Beebe seeks?            January 13, 2014

It appears the Beebe administration is in an aggressive mode to sellout citizen taxpayers’ property to a foreign national government, i.e. Mexico…why?

The proposed location of Arkansas State University’s foreign campus is Queretaro, Mexico.  A-State Chancellor Tim Hudson stated in a press conference that “the demand for higher education is rapidly rising in Mexico, along with its growing affluence and economy”. With the “growing affluence & economy in Queretaro, Mexico what is the purpose that demands the state of Arkansas build and subsidize the proposed university?  Hudson goes on to say “Hispanics are an expanding demographic in the U.S., and Arkansas State will be better equipped to fulfill related needs and opportunities”.   The United States is home to 25-35 million, uninvited illegals Mexican & OTM invaders, not the phony 11 million that government agencies are peddling.

Chancellor Hudson did not amplify on exactly how Arkansas State will better equip nor did he state what the needs & opportunities are for Mexicans. Why is it incumbent on American taxpayers to provide a university for Mexican?  From his statements it is obvious that the government/corporate plan is to continue to trash, in this case middleclass Arkansans, in favor of illegal and legal Mexicans— MORE CHEAP LABOR, DEMOCRAT VOTES & THE ERASURE OF OUR SOUTHERN BORDER…ENDING SOVEREIGNTY.  This can only be described as constitutional and financial corruption at governments’ highest levels.

To substantiate the above, Alan Birsin, Assistant Secretary of Affairs & Chief Diplomatic Officer at DHS recently made the following statement to the American/Mexican Chamber of Commerce in Washington DC “The Guatemalan border with Chiapas (the southernmost state in Mexico) is now the United States’ southern border.”    A-State Mexico & Birsin’s statement are just small parts in the over-all strategy to erase U.S. borders—the outcome will be the globalists’ North American Union.

Is there any doubt in any citizen’s mind that there is a frontal destructive assault on middleclass American citizens, our sovereignty and the rule of law brought to us, but not limited to, by Gov. Mike Beebe, Shane Broadway and the Dept. of Higher Education & Chancellors of U.S. universities, and the Chambers of Commerce?  As pointed out on multiple occasions, Beebe, A.G. McDaniel, ASU Chancellor Hudson are in violation of Article 1, Section 10 of the U.S. Constitution, and theft of Arkansas citizen’s property used and intended to be used for other purposes for which it was intended, e.g. Mexico.

There 6 other universities which have officially signed up to jump into the Mexican giveaway.  Other than growing government in any number of ways, what do the other 6 universities get out of this deal? One of the 6 is Univ. Arkansas Fort Smith and Chancellor Paul Beran in another attack on citizens, has proposed a master plan that would reach $200 million. Education, like all government entities, is a huge self-serving protection racket.

An FOIA was sent to Chancellor Tim Hudson, certified mail and he was made aware of the arrival of the FOIA Dec. 31, 2013.  Legally Hudson has 3 days to respond…as of 1:00 pm today, January 13, 2014 the FOIA has not been picked up which questions how money has been and is being spent.

A second FOIA was sent by email Sunday, January, 12, 2014, confirmation of receipt requested.  At this juncture, no response.

As to why Gov. Beebe, A.G. McDaniel, Chancellor Hudson and a host of others have not chosen to respond is anyone’s guess.  Two options come to mind immediately;

1.    They are playing games.
2.    They are involved in a massive cover-up.

It is noted that Beebe is working on the fiscal 2015 budget, which he says will be his last.  The question comes to mind, how much of this budget will be dedicated to the unconstitutional proposed Mexican campus.  In the same category how many Arkansas tax dollars have been spent of the illegal Mexican Consulate in Little Rock?

It is patently obvious that Gov. Beebe, A.G. McDaniel, Chancellor Hudson, the Ark. Legislature feel no responsibility for detailing the very expensive & unconstitutional ramifications of this proposed assault on Arkansas & American taxpayers.

The United States ranks 16th globally in education, which is shameful, accompanied by a $17 TRILLION national debt, and these individuals elected & appointed, are hired to protect & educate Arkansas citizens.

They call themselves “public servants”, surely they jest.  They are feeding their political & economic appetites.

Why doesn’t Chancellor Hudson “man-up” and complete the FOIA or has Beebe & McDaniel advised otherwise?  The time will come when they have to answer.

Will this be Beebe’s tarnished legacy?

Elitists can’t educate in U.S. so want to try in Mexico

WHY MORE CONCERN FOR MEXICAN NATIONALS THAN FOR AMERICAN CITIZENS?    January 11, 2014

Is Arkansas State Univ. Chancellor Tim Hudson in violation of the Freedom of Information Act by evading delivery of a certified mail containing an FOIA which requests, among other things, all contracts, agreements, memos, & all other documentation setting forth the terms of any private entity guaranteeing funding of any campus that Ark. State University intends to operate within the country of Mexico, including the names of all persons or entities guaranteeing such funding.
The chronology of the FOIA is as follows:

1.    The FOIA was sent by certified mail, receipt requested, December 27, 2013
2.    Chancellor Hudson’s office was notified Dec. 31st, 2013 of the arrival of the certified mail
3.    As of this date, January 11, 2014, at 1:00 PM, Chancellor Hudson had still not accepted receipt of the certified mail.
4.    It is understood that there is a period of 5 days that the school in all likelihood was closed for Christmas vacation.
5.    By law an individual or entity is required to respond to an FOIA within 3 working days of delivery.
6.    Using a start date of January 6, 2014 it has been 5 working days & no response.
7.    Chancellor Hudson is aware by means of an email sent to him and others on Jan. 3, 2014 that there was an FOI request in the mail.

Therefore; questions arise.

1.    Are Chancellor Hudson, Governor Beebe, Director of Higher Education Shane Broadway, the A-State’s Board of Regents and the private investors playing games regarding the FOI?
2.    Is the failure to accept the FOIA another case of bureaucratic incompetency?
3.    Are the above listed individuals huddled together determining how to respond to the FOIA?
4.    Are there other possibilities for a no show in the matter of the FOIA and of course the answer is yes, but what are they?
5.    Is this a case of elitist bureaucrats & politicians bullying the middleclass in a matter that at this juncture appears to be a theft of citizen property?
6.    The United States of America ranks 16th globally in the matter of education. Among other things pertaining to the sordid state of education in the U.S. what possible justification could there be for a mediocre state institution (A-State) to embark on building a facility in a foreign land?  Is the payoff cheap labor, votes, and open borders?
7.    A member of the A-State Board of Regents said that after 3 years of operation in Mexico the institution would show a profit. The fellow is surely living in rarified air.

Why Governor Beebe’s and the state legislature’s deafening silence on this matter and why the refusal to dissect what appears to be huge constitutional and legal concerns, i.e. Article 1, Section 10 of the U.S. Constitution, no authority to use/share taxpayer/citizens’ property with a foreign government?

And then the matter of the FOIA request lying in the dead letter box at a U.S. Post Office?

The North American Union is back–ASU

Do we now know what a confirmed Globalist is doing in the Arkansas Delta?

Is there something rotten in Denmark?                January 3, 2014

Governor Mike Beebe, after a 3 decade life in Arkansas government, made statements to the press which were murky at best, when asked about his political future.

Responding to questions from the Associated Press, “Where am I going to go? Washington?”  Continuing on the Governor said “I want good people to go up there. Just don’t make me do it.”  A tinge of arrogance would you say?  With the usual political drivel he stated “I’d argue that 32 years of public office, I’ve served my time, I’ve given back”.   He failed to say he “made a difference”.

The governor does not preclude himself from running from another political office but you do not have to run for political office to hold a political office, e.g. school superintendents, Director of Higher Education, university Chancellors, ad infinitum.  You see, politicians are not like old soldiers, they NEVER fade away, they just keep coming back.

It was pointed out in two missives the past two weeks that Arkansas State University, compliments of Gov. Mike Beebe, the state legislature, ASU Chancellor Tim Hudson, and a host of private entities and government employees have literally and absolutely stolen taxpayer property—the Arkansas State name, funding, personnel, equipment, travel, ad infinitum, and there has been no public discussion to my knowledge directed at citizens by the Governor or state legislature pertaining to this nefarious affair.

As previously pointed out, A-State employees and “Internationalist” Chancellor Tim Hudson are holding dual roles directing the affairs of A-State Jonesboro and the A-State holdings in the Mexican State of Queretaro that is projected to be an A-State location. Incidentally, where do Hudson’s & the A-State faculty’s allegiances lie?  Hudson’s profile will substantiate his “globalist” background and interests.  It was further pointed out that the 3 year subsidy plan for the A-State Mexican University is to be funded by as yet unknown individuals/corporations, i.e. the Huckabee 3 year payment plan that brought in the unconstitutional & illegal Mexican Consulate to Little Rock.

From afar can the following propositions be put forth with a reasonable amount of certainty?

1.    When Governor Beebe’s term expires he then moves on to become Chancellor of A-State, Jonesboro, AR. Beebe is a graduate of ASU.
2.    At that point, current ASU Chancellor Tim Hudson moves to Queretaro, Mexico and assumes the Chancellorship of the embryonic ASU Mexico.
3.    Then former Gov. Mike Beebe, who would now be the ASU Chancellor, would spend at least 6 months of each year lobbying the Ark. State Legislature for A-State Jonesboro and A-State Mexico, i.e. the king & his court.
4.    More corporate welfare (providing more cheap educated Mexican & OTM labor, while displacing the American middleclass) & expansion of state government.

If A-State Mexico becomes reality it will be the grandest rape of middleclass Arkansans in the history of our state.

P.S.  Politician sell-outs of citizens abound everywhere—Alan Birsin, Assistant Secretary of Affairs & Chief Diplomatic Officer at DHS “The Guatemalan border with Chiapas (the southernmost state of Mexico) is now the United States’ southern border.”

Even More “Higher Education” shenanigans

What is a confirmed globalist doing in the Arkansas delta?      December 27, 2013

The globalist in question is Arkansas State University’s Chancellor, Tim Hudson.
A tacit review as to why Chancellor Hudson is described as a bona fide Globalist.

He was special assistant to the chancellor for International Programs and Initiatives at the University of Houston System. From 2004 until 2010 he was president of the University of Houston–Victoria, following a two-decade career as a professor of economic development, program director, founding dean of the College of International and Continuing Education.  Hudson is the recipient of two Fulbright Fellowships (Germany and Mexico), and an ITT International Fellowship to study in Colombia, South America. He also has developed and led more than 30 programs for U.S. students to study abroad and was awarded an honorary doctorate by London Guildhall University for his contributions to global literacy.

A quote from Hudson, “Ark. State Univ. will change the trajectory of EDUCATION IN MEXICO with a partnership Queretaro that will help A. State fulfill its mission of students to be GLOBAL CITIZENS”. What is a GLOBAL CITIZEN, other than someone who no longer recognizes sovereignty and how is Mexico’s education our business?  Hudson shows no concern for American students and their outlook for American jobs, just cheap corporate labor.

Very recently, 12/26/13, it was divulged on a limited basis, accompanied by no political fanfare, that Ark. State Univ. located in Jonesboro, AR was installing another Ark. State Univ. in Queretaro, Mexico and official groundbreaking to take place Feb. 5, 2014.

There has been no public comment, no discussion by Ark. Governor Mike Beebe, the state legislature, Senators John Boozman & Mark Pryor, and Congressman Rick Crawford representing the 1st Congressional District, Arkansas which is home to ASU.

With such a huge undertaking why no public discussions by Arkansas’ elected public officials?  The move by ASU Chancellor Hudson and his yet unknown co-conspirators, both American citizens & foreign nationals, have essentially hijacked a publicly owned institution for their own political & economic visions and gains.
The Constitution (Article 1, Section 10) and the Rule of Law have been smashed by both elected & unelected representatives of the state of Arkansas.  What possible foundation could be used to subsidize a foreign national country’s educational base other than by self-serving politicians & others closely related to government?

The seizure of ASU by the Chancellor & his bunko squads have replicated former Gov. Mike Huckabee’s unconstitutional & illegal scheme that brought us the Mexican Consulate, i.e. funded for 3 years by private individuals and/or corporations, and at the 3 year juncture the tax burdens placed on the backs of Arkansas taxpayers. The tactics that Hudson and his enablers are using are known as the “Huckabee Bump”.
At this point the only conclusion that can be reached regarding the hijacking of ASU by national and foreign nationals is to turn ASU into their private economic/political playpen.

It is obvious that the cabal has no regard for sovereignty, the rule of law, and Western culture.

If the aforementioned is not absolutely correct then Governor Beebe & other engaged Ark. officials are challenged to present themselves for public discussion and debate as to why citizen-owned Ark. State Univ. should be seized by private & foreign national interests.

Citizens will look forward to hearing from each of you since we fully understand as public servants your vested interests lie in the arms of the citizens.

Joe McCutchen
Fort Smith

P.S. Whether or not it is relevant, Gov. Mike Beebe, Congressman Rick Crawford, State Senator Jake Files, and House Speaker Davy Carter are graduates of ASU.

Will the theft of Arkansas’ taxpayer owned ASU be allowed to stand?

More Higher Education Shenanigans

Headline: Arkansas State University to start Mexico campus, Times Record, December 26, 2013
Some quotes:  “A $50 million undertaking that’s being funded with private money”, followed by a statement “with the private foundation underwriting any operating deficits for 3 years after the campus opens”.   Who makes up the private foundation and what is their purpose?   Are the Tysons, Waltons and Stephens, etc. footprints on this endeavor?   In this case more cheap educated Mexican labor on the horizon, benefiting American corporations?

ASU Chancellor Tim Hudson comes forth with some typical educanto statements, e.g. “The campus will be transformative for Arkansas State (how?) and energize our mission of creating globally competitive opportunities for our faculty and students”.  Somewhere in the seams of the Chancellor’s scheme taxpayers will end up paying for this unconstitutional bunko endeavor; furthermore where is it written that taxpayers should subsidize opportunities for the ASU faculty? In this regard, Mexico will not fund.

More world view economics from Hudson, “The business and government partners share our interest in educating students (Mexicans) who will contribute to a sustainable democracy and socio-economic progress in Mexico”.  (Does the Chancellor really believe there is a democracy in Mexico?) Now you have it, business and government, cheap labor the goal, are cranking up this hideous operation and in 3 years Arkansas taxpayers will subsidize. Chancellor Hudson is not aware or perhaps does not care that a nexus between business and government is Fascism, and government is the CEO.

Is Chancellor Hudson so ensconced in expanding his piece of the criminally corrupt education pie that he has lost sight of the tragic failures of American education at all levels, much of it brought on by illegal Mexicans and OTM’s?

A further Hudson quote, “we need our students to acquire skills”.  Who are our students?  Mexican or U.S.?

And here is the most bombastic statement from a so-called higher education czar, i.e. Hudson, “We are preparing a new generation for employment opportunities and employment needs that have not yet been defined”.    How do you prepare for something that doesn’t exist?

Former Gov. Mike Huckabee violated the U.S. Constitution, Article 1, Section 10 by planting an illegal Mexican Consulate in Little Rock.  The same 3 year agreement as stated above was in effect for the illegal, unconstitutional Little Rock Mexican Consulate, and perhaps the same violation is occurring in the ASU proposition.   An FOIA request was issued to Huckabee and the name or names of the entity or entities funding the first 3 years of the illegal Mexican Consulate were redacted from the FOI. Could this be the same group?

From the above factual statements one can only conclude that ASU and any number of other of higher educational facilities are being run and promoted by self-serving, uneducated fools.

Public Service/Self-Service/Protection Racket

Public Service or Self-Service—you decide.            November 14, 2013

“I, ………..do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of Arkansas, and that I will faithfully discharge the duties of the office of………..,upon which I am now about to enter”.

Arkansas citizens are most certainly aware there have been a plethora of untoward conduct by some members, past and present, of Arkansas Legislative Assembly.

Wanting to demonstrate what an upstanding group of Arkansas legislators they are, said legislators authored a proposed piece of legislation HJR 1009 which is designed to enhance legislative ethics laws, among other things. The “among other things” is the crux of this piece.  HJR 1009 at the front-end bans legislators and constitutional officers from accepting gifts from lobbyists; banning corporate contributions to political candidates; establishing a commission to set salaries for legislators, etc.  Legislators know full well that Arkansans will welcome such an ethics enhancement and will not read the totality of HJR 1009 and eagerly vote yes.

Obviously, the proposed HJR 1009 demonstrates that state legislators, constitutional officers and judges are potentially corrupt and in all likelihood some that are absolutely corrupt; therefore forcing them to theoretically abide by their oaths of office.

On the back-end of HJR 1009 is the real unconstitutional deception and that’s being benevolent. The HJR 1009 proposal would allow legislators a total of 16 years in office instead of the current 14 year term limit voters approved in 1992.

The language contained in HJR 1009 that would increase term limits is added as a last addition to the proposed “ethics” bill. Citizens will be blindsided by the legislative deception that was orchestrated knowing full well that very few voting citizens will read the entirety of the ethics bill to finally get to the manipulated increase in term limits. This can only be described as a rogue legislative activity.   The proposal is unconstitutional.

Representative Warwick Sabin (D-LR) opines the proposal was thoroughly discussed in committees and on the floor in each chamber. Rep. Sabin failed to state that Arkansas citizens were not privy to such self-serving discussions: therefore could not disseminate their thoughts to their elected representatives.

Question:  Why would any of these elected officials propose to serve 16 years in the taxpayer trough?  Public Service or Self-Service?

Now comes a state senator who apparently is unemployed (citizen legislator or professional?) and is championing HJR 1009 as an asset for better government.  The Senator in question is Jon Woods (R-Springdale) whose only credentials seem to be belonging to any number of social & political organizations, while claiming to be a “conservative”.

Senator Woods, in an age-old defense for spending a lifetime in the taxpayer’s trough, is the extension of term limits making it possible for legislators to gain more experience and knowledge in one chamber or the other.   Set aside a moment for a belly-laugh at this explanation.  Now the truth: His “experience and knowledge” statement is an affront to every Arkansan’s innate intelligence. What Woods is really saying; this affords politicians more time to manipulate and deceive, at the same time nesting in the squalor of Arkansas politics to extend their not so honorable quest for money & influence.

Do any of the readers of this piece know any elected, appointed government employee that is upholding his sworn oath to the two Constitutions?

HJR 1009 can only be described as self-serving corruption.  The Protection Racket in action.

More Vote-Buying & Political Pay-Offs

GOVERNOR MIKE BEEBE AND THE ARKANSAS LEGISLATURE        October 17, 2013

Your proposal to shell out nearly $100 million to Arkansas teachers is immoral and unconstitutional.

This amounts to nothing but a raise for Arkansas teachers and they certainly do not deserve a pay raise.

From another point of view, the vast majority of teachers are Democrats and support Obamacare; therefore they should pay for their own increases in insurance premiums.

The arrogance you are showing in coddling the teacher unions is breathtaking and must be construed as a political payoff to teachers and their unions. It hasn’t been that long ago that Obama dispensed $93 million taxpayer dollars to the teachers of Arkansas. A totally undeserved largesse.

The Arkansas public school system is academically corrupt and the system’s area of influence is expanding yearly.

Just one example of academic corruption was reported recently in nationwide news that the public school system in Arkansas is implementing Common Core which amounts to Arkansas teachers indoctrinating students, in this case to eliminate or change the Bill of Rights, particularly the 1st & 2nd Amendments, e.g. sixth graders in the Bryant School District.  Is this not subversion?

It appears that you Governor and members of the legislature would better serve your constituents by being aware of what is going on in the public school system with reference to the Constitution, the Bill of Rights and the Rule of Law or perhaps you and the legislative members approve of the very academically destructive and mind-bending Common Core.

Teachers are not an endangered species; they have been a kept group for far too long, particularly in view of the state of public education.

Quit stealing from the producers.

The Vote-Buying Protection Racket

Governor Mike Beebe & Ladies & Gentlemen of the Arkansas Legislature
October 15, 2013

Why are you preparing to provide most-favored status to Arkansas teachers and their ancillary help?

Your proposals smack of the treatment that Obamacare affords the members of Congress & their staffs, coupled with the SEIU, certain favored corporations, and who knows what or who else.

Teachers on average are paid in salary 20.1% more than their private sector counterparts and that does not factor in the huge number of benefits that the private sector does not enjoy, only 186 working days per year, and of course job protection, i.e. the union protection racket.

Your proposals are a slap in every Arkansans face who are underwriting the failed government school system.

Teachers are not an endangered species, they should pay their way. Like other government types, you can’t run them off with a Louisville Slugger.

The fact that you can pull millions & millions out of various accounts once again proves unequivocally that Arkansans are grossly overtaxed.   What you are proposing is nothing short of VOTE-BUYING.

Double-Dippers are a Dime a Dozen

WHO REPRESENTS MIDDLECLASS TAXPAYERS?

Another stench out of Jonesboro, AR. i.e. Senate District 21, vacant due to criminal corruption…a microcosm of Arkansas politics.                October 14, 2013

The subject of the rant is Radius Baker, Superintendent of Valley View School District.

Superintendent Baker is no virgin in politics (a school superintendent). If elected to the state senate he will be in the company of any number of self-serving active government employees, retired government employees and those who have businesses dependent on government, resulting in a packed Arkansas state legislature, both Houses for decades.

Baker is cocked to become a full time shill for the National Education Assoc. & the Arkansas Educational Assoc. while picking up another taxpayer subsidized check.

If Baker succeeds in winning the District 21 Senate seat election he will add to the already burgeoning self-servicing in the Arkansas Legislature. Baker offers no apologies for his disregard of his position & his obligation to the students & citizens of Valley View in his chase for the Senate seat. If elected he becomes another double-dipper. The real crime in Baker’s candidacy is his utter disregard for his academic responsibilities. At the same time he is stealing from Arkansas taxpayers, not only money but more importantly, the trust parents in the Valley View District have in him to lead & educate, and also those who are funding his professional endeavors.

1.    On average government school employees sign contracts for about 186 days per year.
2.    On average state legislators spend in the neighborhood of 150 days in yearly sessions, in addition to any number of meetings, which factor to more than 6 months per year in legislative activities.
3.    Baker should understand that his government school contractual obligation of at least 186 days is almost identical to the number of days absent from said obligations to the Valley View school district. How then can Baker & the Valley View school board justify retaining him in any capacity, much less the Superintendent of the schools?
4.    Is the Valley View School Board going to continue to pay his contractual salary or any other financial remuneration, if he is elected?
5.    Or is the plan, if elected, he then retires and becomes an active lobbyist for the NEA and AEA in the legislature? Surely no one in Jonesboro believes this government employee/operative will represent any modicum of middleclass taxpayers’ concerns.

Not one cry from the Governor, the legislature, or any other faction in the state pertaining to Baker’s proposed academic theft and ethical violations.  As previously mentioned the Ark. State Legislature is packed with active and retired government employees, individuals whose businesses are dependent on government and all are there principally for financial considerations and expansion of state government and the unconstitutional government employee unions.

To verify the claim the state government is packed, all that is needed is to briefly profile the very district in which Baker is seeking a Senate seat.

Initially there were 7 candidates seeking the District 21 senate seat…4 Democrats & 3 Republicans. Two of the candidates were termed out Democrats who obviously are addicted to government. They were Ray Kidd & Gene Roebuck.   Then there is Radius Baker, the subject of this screed.  Out of the 4 Democrats only one appears not to be steeped in government politics…Steve Rockwell.

On the Republican side there is Dan Sullivan who runs a business named Ascent Children’s Health Services, wholly dependent on Medicaid. A quote or so by Sullivan leaves no doubt he’s a BIG government man, e.g. “Neither a proponent or opponent of the private option”.  Sullivan as reported, has made contributions to Democrats, including Gov. Beebe, and follows that up by saying “that’s the way we do business”.  What business? Sullivan has also been in the taxpayer trough as a school Principal where he suspended an 8 year old for 3 days for pointing a breaded chicken finger at a teacher and saying Pow…sounds like Sullivan has a problem with the 2nd Amendment! Sullivan’s statement “that’s the way we do business” is extremely troubling, indicating that he is philosophically bankrupt.  Unfortunately the precise blueprint that the Arkansas Legislature uses as their Bible.

Former candidate Chad Niell borrowed $100,000 from himself for the campaign, therefore who do you think he would represent knowing the fact that his business is also dependent on government—jails, prisons, etc.

The 3rd GOP candidate is a gentleman by the name of John Cooper who has no government affiliations and is retired from AT&T.

Out of the seven, who do you believe would represent middleclass Arkansans? Individuals who are employed by the government, retired from the government or owners of businesses dependent on government who have vested interests in the all-powerful Government Protection Racket, e.g. NEA, AEA, & a host of government unions.

It is incumbent on citizens to understand the motives of candidates for public office, i.e. which will be public servants or which self-servants.

Joe McCutchen

P.S. Out of the seven Dist. 21 candidates only two are not inextricably tied to the government protection racket.

Term limit extension trick

What was omitted?                        September 22, 2013

Today’s editorial in the Fort Smith Times Record is a diatribe on why term limits should be extended in the case of county judges, sheriffs, J.P.’s, treasurers, assessors, circuit clerks, county clerks, coroner’s, surveyors, and constables from a 2 to 4 year term.   The feeble excuses given for the extension of their terms, “It would allow county officials to be more efficient”, “they can plan for long term budgeting”, and finally “it would allow the aforementioned to learn the ins & outs of their positions without having to focus on reelection bids”.

Translation: learning the ins & outs of their positions is the real enemy of voters.  The longer they hold office, it’s not about efficiency in planning, it’s about manipulation and giving the elected more time to salt the mines for long term office holding and self-promotion.  Definitely not a good thing.   Observe.

So what was omitted in the editorial?

The last AR. General Assembly crafted a bill dealing with ethics, a more rigorous bill than currently exists.  The bill is to be voted on by the citizens in the next general election. So what’s the problem with a bill that increases the penalties for ethical and criminal violations?  Of course, nothing.  It is comical that laws must be passed in an attempt to keep elected officials honest and ethically bound.  Carrying that thought a step further indicates that elected officials are all potential crooks in one form or another.

So again, what’s wrong with the proposed stricter ethics bill? Nothing until one discovers what is attached at the end of the ethics proposal.   Politicians, in their deception by the add-on, have negated any pretense of being ethical and this ploy has been used many, many times against the unsuspecting voter.

Attached at the end of the proposed ethics bill is a rider that would extend term limits for the ethically challenged Arkansas legislature.  The Arkansas legislators fully understand that voters will not read the proposed ethics bill and in all likelihood will vote for it unanimously not understanding what is attached to end of the bill, i.e. AN EXTENSION OF TERM LIMITS.

It is understood that citizens wanted term limits, the reason we now have them.  So what elected state legislators in Sebastian County voted without citizen knowledge or approval to extend term limits?

1.    Senator Jake Files, the bagman for the city’s Big Three.
2.    Rep. Stephanie Malone, presently unemployed (quit government job for fear of another FOI?) and Travelin’ Man John Boozman’s niece.
3.    Termed out Denny Altes who is encouraging his son to seek his position—the Divine Right of Kings?
4.    Senator Bruce Holland, the fella with a big hat and foot on the pedal.
5.    Certainly there are others in the area.

Citizens, keep this in mind, these ladies & gentlemen are not self-serving they are “public servants” looking out for your best interests.  Vote buying, money laundering, manipulations, etc. are in the citizens’ best interests….and of course each of you know this is a crock!

Joe McCutchen
