According to the Times Record 4/6/13: Superintendent Benny Gooden said his “school district is becoming more diverse by the year”.  “We have one of the richest cultural representations anywhere in this part of the country”.  “That’s a plus…our students are well prepared to interact anywhere they go. Ethnically, racially, they will understand the people with whom they associate”.  Straight out of Cultural Marxism

Notice not a word about academic curriculum, merit or achievement…only about “interaction” as though that is the ultimate virtue…if you can’t read, write, work mathematics, et al, but can “interact”—that’s a proper education goal?  Tragic doesn’t begin to describe what is being done to the minds of those attending government schools.

The article reports that about 71% of Ft. Smith students qualify for free or reduced price lunches. (The more students on the program the more funding the district receives) He also states that 7 out of 10 elementary school attendees are “lacking in amenities”…meaning they are poor and fails to mention in this report the huge numbers of illegal non-English speaking aliens that are not only receiving taxpayer funded largesse but are also destroying any semblance of real learning or study in the classrooms.  Assimilation is not occurring because they want to keep their failed philosophies & cultures alive, and the education cabal would consider it “discriminatory” for them to be required to become Americanized as in the past.

Not a word about how American kids are supposed to learn excellence in academics when the class must be dumbed-down in order to pass the underachievers to the next grade.  That is what Gooden really means when he avows that “educators” strive for a “balanced educational program that addresses the needs of EVERY student”. Anyone with a semblance of sense knows the only way to achieve egalitarianism is to teach to the lowest common denominator, i.e. the slowest child in the class. No wonder brighter kids are bored silly.

“One size fits all” is the modern mantra of government schools—from their “no tolerance” rule which won’t allow the sketching of a gun on paper, to limiting competition to that which produces no losers, i.e. everyone gets a trophy…a very convenient contrivance to avoid common sense, case by case individual consideration which requires diligent effort and fairness and it bypasses the backbone of our latter day justice system.  It’s a nonsensical, unjust, easy way out of making judgments based on reason & facts. A terrible life lesson.

Gooden describes critics as always “talking about negatives” and that they make him “tired”.  He needs to know the critics are more than “tired” of the dismal failure to teach children academics while their heads are filled with Collectivist ideologies.
 
Now comes an MSNBC host declaring openly that “kids don’t belong to their parents”, they belong to community.  Shades of Hillary’s “It Takes a Village”.  The Collectivists: Progressives/Socialists/Fascists/Communists are coming out of the woodwork now…they are feeling safe in today’s entitlement environment to express their true beliefs.  Obama said to businessmen, “you didn’t build that”, the government did.  When there are no consequences to criminal acts it is no wonder they increase exponentially.

Dr. Gooden has been the F.S. superintendent for 27 years and is serving a stint as President of the American Association of School Administrators. He epitomizes the “modern day vision” of education/indoctrination and fully understands the methods used to latch onto more & more taxpayer subsidized funding.  The more the school academics fail, the more non-English speaking attendees, the more poverty stricken “needing” food, the more devotees to faux “public service” and the rejection of rational self-interest, i.e. merit, achievement, standards…the more stolen money will be available. If one doesn’t understand the dismal state of public education today and the enormous amount of taxpayer money being flushed down this cesspool, these facts should help explain the dire situation.

Have the government schools actually become a form of child abuse?   Pity the young.

My, how time flies!                        February 26, 2013

Ten years have passed since Fort Smith School Superintendent Benny Gooden euphorically and stupidly stated “We’ll take all we can get” referring to 3rd World nationals, legal & illegal.

His wish came true and now he is whining–and look at the failures.  “Enrolling high percentages of economically disadvantaged students and students whose native language is not English will be disproportionally impacted by the cuts”.  Never a word from Gooden or his cohorts about the economic toll heaped on citizens who are funding the failed educational cabal, and certainly no apologies. 

Gooden goes on to say that he and others have urged Congress to come to their rescue.  Does Gooden believe the likes of Senators Boozman and Pryor or Congressman Womack will or can solve any problem, particularly in view that they have been part and parcel of creating our multiple national crises, e.g. public education?  Government’s destructive attacks on the curriculum and on children’s’ minds is breathtaking. The Communist Manifesto is alive in government schools in that they have surreptitiously seized most parental responsibilities and indoctrinated/propagandized children.

Factually, public education is wallowing in untold wealth and Superintendent Gooden is in the same trough as the so-called “disadvantaged”, i.e. recipients of taxpaying producer funding.

A $16.4 TRILLION national debt (Say Boozman & Pryor) and increasing in the Billions as this is written.  So to Dr. Gooden…quit your whining, suck it up, innovate, accept the challenge, and do more with less (if less is really the case, which is highly suspect)—that’s the American way and trash the Political Correctness that is submerging the young students in government sewage.

Never do we hear any “educator” complain about the unbridled immigration, legal & illegal, which has all but destroyed American culture and heritage and put us squarely in the bulls-eye on our way to a 3rd World existence.

The “Common Good” …Abused Again

ANOTHER DOSE OF THE SIMPLETONIAN COMPLEX.            February 11, 2013

The “Common Good” as expressed by Arkansas Catholic Bishop Anthony B. Taylor appearing as a guest writer in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, 2/9/13.

The Bishop’s opening paragraph demonstrates that he does not adhere to the constitutional concept of the separation of church & state.  Quote: “The central teaching of Catholic social doctrine is the sanctity and dignity of the human person”. I could not agree more with the concept; however the Bishop is referring to the conduct of illegal aliens, while refusing to honor the U.S. Constitution, and other national constitutions for that matter, add the rule of law and U.S. sovereignty without which there is chaos and anarchy. In this regard, the Bishop has publicly stated in the past that the Catholic Church cannot survive without the invasion of illegal aliens.  This alone positions his church in a criminal mode.

The Bishop speaks profusely about the federal government paying for an additional ¼ million Arkansas residents to be placed on welfare (how many illegal Mexicans are included?), joining the present number of 800,000 (legal & illegals) already wallowing in unearned largesse.  A question for Bishop Taylor:  Who funds the federal government? Is this not forced redistribution by theft, e.g.  Communism or religious altruism?   Marxism/Collectivism is always a failure, but only after it destroys the host.  The host in this case is the republic of the United States. The Bishop’s philosophy hangs an albatross around the necks of taxpaying American citizens.

The Bishop continues his screed stating that Medicaid spending in 2009 alone in Arkansas created 70,277 jobs and adding another 250,000 to the welfare rolls will create many more new jobs.  These are NOT jobs, they are government positions funded by hard working middleclass taxpayers in the private sector!  Show proof of 70,277 jobs, who the employers are, and who are the new proposed employers?

The most divisive lies the Bishop put forward in his editorial are the following:

1.    “We know the role of government is to foster the “Common Good”.  Straight out of Karl Marx.
“The Common Good” clause is explained in the Federalist Papers that were written by Founders James Madison, John Jay, & Alexander Hamilton.  All of which was undergirded by letters from Thomas Jefferson & John Adams. The intended meaning of the “Common Good” as the Founders and the Federalist Papers stated was what the colonists said the Common Good was…self-determination and responsibility for self…not what some self-serving politician or religionist says it means.

2.    Adding to the Bishop’s nonsense he goes on to state “For 100 years, American Catholic Bishops have called for universal healthcare (against the will of the American people and the Constitution) for life and human dignity, especially for the poor and immigrants”. He goes on to say with more Marxist ideology, “this includes making sure everyone has access to things needed to lead a life with dignity”.  More cradle-to-grave Communism and certainly, freedom is not denied to the poor.

3.    The Bishop, in another bombastic revelation…putting 250,000 more residents on welfare will “produce moral, social, and economic benefits for our state”. 
Bishop Taylor’s Catholic Church has a long history of criminal activities and abuse.  Openly, they advocate violation of Federal Law 8 USC, open borders, sanctuary cities, Catholic Charities (subsidized in the $billions by taxpayers) which aids and abets illegal aliens, then of course the most heinous crime of systemic pedophilia.  For this man to openly advocate anarchy can only lead to the opposite of “moral, social, and economic benefits” and drive the middleclass into oblivion, along with our rule of law and standard of living; there is no moral high ground for Bishop Taylor. In this context, American/Arkansan taxpayers not only subsidize Catholic Charities but also anti-American Hispanic organizations such as Lulac and La Raza (the Race), which are disciples of the Catholic church.

Those speaking of the “Common Good” are never the ones who pay for it. Isn’t Charity supposed to be the work of the churches and those who wish to freely give without coercion?  Not according to the gospel of Bishop Taylor. 

By the way, the Catholic Church possesses untold wealth & property, if the Medicaid project is really important to them, why don’t Catholics pay for it?  Is this not the height of hypocrisy?

WHERE DOES IT STOP, OR DOES IT—IN ITS WAKE ARE MOUNDS OF ECONOMIC ASHES AND HORDES OF BEGGARS—IT’S CALLED “WELFARE”                                                            January 24, 2013

Another proposed grand theft orchestrated against middleclass Arkansans, but not limited to, by Gov. Mike Beebe, a disciple of the Marxist Communist President Barack Hussein Obama, State Surgeon General Dr. Joe Thompson, Dr. Daniel W. Rahn, Chancellor of U of A for Medical Sciences, Dr. Clark Fincher, the Governor of the Arkansas Chapter of American College of Physicians; and some members of the Arkansas state legislature.

Do we feed them forever?  The aforementioned luminaries never, ever question why welfare numbers continue to exacerbate, what remedies are available which could terminate the lack of self-discipline and foster self-reliance, etc.  Instead, without any forethought, these subsidized bureaucratic and political elitists posit their position without feeling for the poor souls who are generating the funds for their entitlement feast.   In this same vein, the 30 year politicrat Beebe is proposing a 2% pay raise for state employees. It’s in your face citizens, and is a mirror image of precisely what Obama is doing to all America.  The producers are not receiving raises, as you well know, therefore why should government employees receive raises?

With the proposal to add 250,000 (that’s ¼ million) more non-producers to the welfare rolls will tally out to be at least 1,100,000 welfare recipients languishing & reproducing in our state alone. Arkansas’ population is roughly 2.5 million. Does that sound an alarm?  Citizens are not aware of how many illegals are dining at the welfare table—more corruption by Beebe and the state legislature. On bended knee, they shuffle to the music of the Walmart’s, Tyson’s, Stephen’s, the State Chamber of Commerce, etc.

Depending on whose numbers you accept there are somewhere between 2-5 million 3rd World, uneducated, poverty-ridden legal & illegal aliens entering our country on a yearly basis.  We as a nation are $16.4 TRILLION in debt, with a $75-100 Trillion in unfunded mandates, i.e. MEDICAID, Medicare, and Social Security. Notice that the Marxist Democrats gave approximately 3% increase in Social Security checks and those who have saved and had some wealth netted out less than they were receiving in 2012.  That is bald-faced thievery. The money was earned by hard labor and the DC thugs have dried up the Social Security coffers.

Not to bore, some specifics about government arithmetic and fabrication used by Dr. Joe Thompson.  Thompson asserts that with the 250,000 add-ons we would end up with 400,000 with insurance…tell us Dr. Thompson, who is we?  Thompson goes on to say that the add-ons would save 2300 lives per year…where is that crystal ball Dr. Thompson and is that the same ball that came up with the padded 250,000 number?

Next, an example of political doublespeak and outright dishonesty.  Dr. Thompson states that if the Ark. Legislature signs on to this not so Affordable Care Act, with the addition of 250,000 non-producers it will create 6200 jobs. Jobs? Jobs? These are not jobs they are positions. Dr. Thompson may be a bright individual but also devious & sinister. .  Those 6200 jobs bloviated about amount to a huge expansion of state government, no end in sight, all subsidized by the producers and he and Beebe are not producers. Government employees hold positions, not jobs, again all subsidized by middleclass, hard-working Arkansans.

What is the philosophy that states that a government may take by force from one group for redistribution to another group? Ladies & gentlemen of the legislature, it is Communism.  Your political vote-buying benevolence at someone else’s expense is not only unappreciated, it is highly resented.

It will be interesting to see how the former political party identified by the name Republican, now the majority, morphing into the Party of Irrelevance, handles the proposed abuses of middleclass taxpayers orchestrated by Arkansas Governor Mike Beebe and his Democrat Legislature. Do the POI’s have the backbone to terminate the Marxist attacks on our once free society?

MAKERS UNDER ANOTHER SIEGE BY THE TAKERS: THIS TIME BY ANOTHER VOLCANIC EXPLOSION BY THE WELFARE CLASS KNOWN AS WELFARE ELITES.                July 31, 2012

Politicians & bureaucrats have hit on Producers for such an extended period of time, absent accountability, they no longer consider the Producers as anything but money-generating vassals. Unfortunately there are residents & citizens in the 50% arena that pay no income taxes; therefore why should they care as long as their monthly check or checks arrive on time?  A novel idea to weed out the deadbeat generational no work recipients would be to implement Means-Testing.

The Government School System, formerly known as the Public School System, accompanied by the so-called “Higher Education” cabal, i.e. colleges & universities, are in all likelihood the most corrupt, wasteful, inefficient, failed entity that has come to pass in American society.   Remember, Funding Follows Failure.  Close examination reveals that the magnitude of corruption in the Government School System is breathtaking.

The unabated invasion of millions of 3rd World legal and illegal aliens has all but broken the backs of the educational institutions that formerly served our Republic so well, but out of abject fear of administrators & higher-ups, teachers never question the destructive course being administered by the establishment.  The ruling elements of government at all levels, for votes, cheap labor, expansion, & Political Correctness have made the Founding population a minority in 2 states and that number will be expanded within 3 years to other states and effectively dissolve the Republican Party.  Question: Are there any of these 3rd World hordes capable of generating the revenues and technological advancements that the Founding stock now produces which undergird our rogue governments?  There is no evidence that this can or will occur, e.g. the story of the Golden Goose.

The 7/28/12 edition of the Times Record featured a picture of a Fort Smith government school teacher and underscoring the photo the T.R. stated that a total of 88 new certified staff members (?) have been hired so far for the upcoming school year.  The Times Record did not report what the 88 new hires would be doing or if a justified necessity exists. Note the phrase “so far”.   The 88 new hires will easily cost American citizen taxpayers in the neighborhood of $600,000 per year. More government expansion and less citizen control.  This again demonstrates arrogance and grand theft with no apologies.  Where is the faux School Board? Understand, there are at least 2 classes of welfare, one that receives no work unearned largesse and the other who receives largesse and protection for their expanding government job positions, i.e. the welfare elites.

Couple this with the recent announcement that Fort Smith School Superintendent Dr. Benny Gooden has just launched a yearlong whirlwind safari to Washington, DC and all points north, south, east & west.  He of course, in his year long absence will be drawing his full salary and will also be paid, who knows how much, for his public service union lobbying activities as President of the 14,000 member organization named The American Association of School Administrators. Governor Mike Beebe and members of the Fort Smith School Board (save one) have also spent taxpayer money in the D.C. celebration of Gooden’s immoral & unethical engorgement…….had he taken a year’s leave of absence without his exorbitant salary & perks, it would be more palatable.
 
And not a peep from the taxpaying citizens who have been duped into believing education is a “Sacred Cow” and those individuals elected to secure our rights and property, i.e.–money.  On the heels of Gooden’s expeditions, it is revealed that there is to be an additional $137 Million increase in annual state funding to Arkansas’ public colleges and universities next year—so why the huge increases in tuition? This announcement was made by the illegally hired, unqualified Commissioner of Higher education, Shane Broadway.   In the same breath Beebe is promoting his idea to add 250,000 more souls to Arkansas welfare rolls which will equate to well over a million receiving no-work welfare in Arkansas (citizens & illegals…this shakes out to be 40% of the state’s less than 3 million population). Couple that percent with the welfare elites who are also receiving taxpayer subsidized checks; therefore 60% of the state in all likelihood is receiving taxpayer funds,   while admitting to a 2013 $390 Million Medicaid shortfall.  Beebe exclaims, through a federal exchange program the feds will help makeup the “shortfall” for the first 3 years.  Where the hell does Beebe think the federal government gets money??? Note, again the ever-expanding elite welfare class—government workers—are not included in the official government statistics of 1+ million generational welfare addicts.

Now you know why Gov. Beebe is so “popular”, he is the embodiment and darling of the TAKERS and a Marxist & disciple of Obama.

Have you ever seen a politician or bureaucrat at any level introduce a plan to terminate the fiscal insanity that has engulfed our republic and created a $16 TRILLION national debt and $75-100 Trillion in unfunded mandates (Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid)?  Corruption abounds in all government, unabated, by the very people we elect & hire to preserve Western Civilization, heritage & prosperity.  Of course, all the destruction is by design and what has been written here is a mere microcosm.

Two words have shown themselves to be the most potent enemy of a free society—Political Correctness—Observe.

Citizens are you going to sit on your fat, smug asses and allow the Founders dreams to be destroyed without a whimper?  It certainly appears so, and freedom will never come again for thousands of years, if then.

P.S. In a Constitutional Republic governments do NOT have the legal authority to take by force the production of one group for the redistribution to another group, no matter how laudable the government may think the reason.   So why do citizens continue to vote for the very individuals who are destroying our once preeminent Republic election cycle after cycle?

Let the thievery continue, brought to you by the reticent behavior of citizens and self-serving politicians/bureaucrats/opportunists.                  March 15, 2012

Recent political events have brought a number of hugely expensive government-expanding, mostly non-essentials to the political table.

The United States of America has a $16.4 TRILLION national debt, so says the GAO and $75 TRILLION or so in unfunded mandates.

Let the Fort Smith economic tragedy continue:

I.    The proposed riverfront Hope Campus received a $400,000 federal grant. Recall a $5,000 per day consultant named Dr. Robert Marbut speaking of a 167,000 sq. ft. facility with an initial cost of $2 million, to be funded by “Grant Sponsors” and “Funding Partners” (all taxpayers). Other government jargon that Marbut laid on the City Board,  Richard Griffin and his enablers were the following: “Governance Models, Homeless Campuses, Hybrid Model, Lead Agency, Very Exclusive, Equalness, Top Tenants,” ad infinitum.  Marbut’s central theme, as he stated on many occasions “always leaving room for growth”.  “We help communities to dramatically reduce homelessness”—by dumping the parasites onto taxpayers’ backs and into giant magnets for more deadbeats. This operation, if allowed to reach fruition, will forever be a growing lodestone around the necks of Fort Smith citizens.  $500,000 will not be enough for a startup fund and certainly not a drop in the bucket to what this socialist endeavor will become.

II.     The discontinuance of TV ($25,000 per year) coverage of city Board meetings…all in the name of city economic belt-tightening.  Scandalous & arrogant behavior on the part of the city government by resting on a corrupt statement such as the above.  The City Manager, the City Directors, and allied personnel will spend more than that $25,000 on a single weekend retreat, or study groups, or focus groups, or task force, trips to D.C.  etc. where they all assimilate and absorb what the D.C. power groups want them to advocate.  Case in point, Director Don Hutchings who echoed, with a degree of disdain, why the city would even entertain allowing private citizens, in this case a very generous Jerry Hamel, to fund or help fund the means to reinstitute TV coverage of city government meetings.   Apparently Director Hutchings does not realize that patriotic producing citizens like Hamel are the very same citizens who provide the funding to sustain all governments and their spending frenzies. It is obvious Dir. Hutchings has never created nor sustained a job, i.e. he is a taker not a maker and certainly does not appreciate the importance of transparency in government.

III.    The city exclaims austerity.  It is said former mayor Ray Baker received $250,000 per year during his 20 year tenure.  Accounting?  It has not been calculated as of yet how many tons of rose petals and bales of greeting cards the 20 yr accumulation of $5 million would purchase. The practice is ongoing and Mayor Sanders is receiving the aforementioned amount. Accounting? Awarding this much money to any government employee is obscene! I If Sanders had any moral substance he would reject this taxpayer thievery. This is another gross example of lazy, reticent behavior of citizens to allow this type of economic carnage and certainly the beat will continue. How many taxpayer checks do Sanders and his wife receive each month?  As John Conley’s old song says, they’re “Just in it for the love”.

IV.    Coupled to the spending frenzy is $2.7 million in new trails (Agenda 21), $650,000 for neighborhood parks (Agenda 21), $800,000 for new soccer fields (Agenda 21, to keep the illegals off the streets)—this little bit of inside trading is to be installed near or on riverfront drive.  Throw in $1.55 million for parks (Agenda 21) operation & maintenance, and $229,531 for Aquatic Center operations (no mention of maintenance costs).  Then there is the matter of a new fire station for Chafee Crossing, somewhere around $9 million, and a statement attributed to Fire Chief Mike Richards that the station is a “bare bones” installation. $9 million is “bare bones”???  Richards was quoted at the ballot returns that he “was just speechless”.  Even the chief didn’t expect the citizens to be such simpletons. The $9 million cost must be rethought and rebid. Also fused into the city’s grand theft is the highly dubious $50 million Marshall’s Museum, an Entrepreneurial School, Ferris Wheel, a baseball field, an “Excellence Academy” for delinquents, and the moribund Convention Center.

V.    It is said the proposed Marshal’s Museum, the proposed Homeless Shelter, the proposed baseball stadium, the proposed soccer fields are to be constructed on or near the riverfront.  Who benefits from this peculiar assortment?

Finally, the editor of the Times Record concluded in Sunday’s editorial “it’s time to dream of big things for Fort Smith”.   Big things in this case are merciless poundings of taxpaying citizens. There was a time when the Times Record qualified as a real newspaper, but since the Stephen’s Group has purchased the paper, meaningful editorials are practically non-exist and most are mere mush, and investigative reporting is a thing of the past. The Times Record a mere shell of its past and qualifies solely as a mouthpiece for the city insiders.

The city’s 1% sales tax has been in place for a number of years:  if the renewal of the 1 % tax is as claimed, will ensure a better future, why hasn’t the tax already provided that rosy future and since this is not the case, how and where was the money spent?
