“Stimulus”/Grand Theft/Funding Follows Failure

                                                                                                                                       March 11, 2011

GRAND THEFT AND RECEIVING—SHADES OF MADISON!  Better known as “teacher bonuses” or as Greenwood Superintendent Kay Johnson refers to them as “supplements”. $90 MILLION!  Wow.

December 22, 2010 it was announced that Obama was awarding the state of Arkansas $90 million printed out of thin air to be dispensed to the government school system, formerly known as the public school system. This federal theft was listed as part of the AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009.   Translation:  A vote buying scheme by and for Democrats.

Did the education community question the legality and morality of this criminal act—NO!  State Rep. Jonathan Dismang had the temerity to question why Arkansas should get such a vulgar handout to teachers, to be called bonuses.  Teachers derided Dismang and vocalized that he was “stealing their Christmas’. Observe the conduct of the AEA & NEA.   Shades of Madison!

Government schools are a failed endeavor by any standard. This former preeminent Republic is in debt $14.6 TRILLION and that does not include $57 TRILLION in unfunded mandates.  Governor Mike Beebe, in his deal cutting mode is carrying Obama’s & Sebelious criminal mail, what’s his cut? Beebe is an integral part of the $90 million criminal theft. Beebe is the same guy who has a 65-70% approval rating.  Demonstrates the political acuity of the citizens of Arkansas.  Why would you award bonuses and/or “supplements” to the failed criminal cabal, formerly known as public education?

Funding Follows Failure.

Why is the $90 million only now surfacing when it was to be dispensed on Dec. 22, 2010?

An FOIA was filed on Dec. 27, 2010 regarding the disbursement of the $90 million printed out of thin air to then Commissioner of the Ark. Dept. of Education, Dr. Tom Kimbrell.   A lawyer from the Dept. of Ed. Wrote back stating they had no idea where the money went, how much or to whom, but down the road there would be state audits but she said they had no idea when…so to keep on trying.

Beebe and transparency?

Madam Johnson called the unearned forced redistribution “A happy proposal”.  Shades of Madison! Greenwoods’ cut of the $90 million is $683,123.

Johnson says that teachers will receive $800 ea, non-teaching staff $500 ea., food service & bus drivers $300 ea.  Is this not the ultimate in corruption? In Superintendent Johnson’s euphoria did she award 2 bonuses to school employees, e.g. a teacher who also drives a bus?

We will anxiously wait to see how Ft. Smith Superintendent Dr. Benny Gooden spends “his share” of the grand theft.  There is obviously no shame or concern about the taxpayers who were robbed.  Shades of Madison!

Kindest regards,

Joe McCutchen
