Dr. Wyatt,
Not to make an ongoing serial regarding ESL, which was contrived specifically for illegal aliens, my question is simply how many illegals are enrolled in ESL at ASU? Under legitimate circumstances students would be enrolled in traditional 103a English designed for citizens and exchange students.

Mr. McCutchen, ASU complies with all state and federal laws and policies regarding student enrollments, including our international students enrolled in the English as a Second Language program. These students are not supported by state or federal scholarship funds. I hope that this information is helpful. Les Wyatt

President ASU System

Dr. Wyatt,
April 9, 2010
A Democrat-Gazette article Saturday, April 3, 2010 stated that ASU conducts an English as a Second Language program.
I believe a detailed explanation regarding ESL is due, recalling particularly some of your statements pertaining to illegal Mexican aliens and OTM’s during past discussions dealing with scholarships to illegals.
Naturalization requires that the individual, before becoming a citizen, has a reasonable command of the English language, therefore my question to you is simply, is ASU accepting foreign national illegals?
I will appreciate a detailed account regarding the legality of said students enrolled in ESL, method of payment and by whom?
Kindest regards,
Joe McCutchen
