The continued growth & cost of government is detrimental to citizens

Just what do we get for $36,410.00…a lot of PC and more government control? May 9, 2017

School Board President Dr. Deanie Mehl at the helm for more than a decade and her subordinates are just now becoming aware of the litany of Fort Smith School District deficiencies?

After perusing this very impressive use of new-age government-speak it became obvious that this was to frame Fort Smith School District employees as uber-extraordinares in the realm of academia and to intimidate parents by embarrassment for not knowing what all this bureaucratic nonsense equates to.

There is not a school teacher in the district that can tell you what these statements mean, the purpose, and how they fall into the realm of academics.

The Board has hired a firm named Cambridge Strategic Services to compile the data that has led to the District’s deficiencies. Understand Cambridge Services are double dippers and have been involved in government one way or another. Listed below are a few of the alleged deficiencies and frankly the comedy is better than a late night TV show. The District’s & communities “fundamental values”, “ethical code”, “overriding convictions”, “inviolate commitments”, “district’s identity”, “purpose and the means of action”, “strategic parameters”, and so on.

Do any of you believe for one moment this silliness was incubated in the minds of Mehl & associates? Of course not. Straight out of the U.S. Dept. of Ed, the NEA, the AEA, Metro 1313, etc.

This concoction was created with moonbeams & wool, dedicated to further destroy citizen influence in public education.

Recall yesterday Police Chief Nathaniel Clark opined that he was molding the FS city police into a light infantry brigade. Yes, it is unconstitutional. A paramilitary falls under the command of the military ultimately.

Both of the above are not functions of a Constitutional government and continues to increase the size and expense of the corrupt government.

Incumbency & lack of transparency are toxic weeds. Parents don’t be flimflammed by charlatans. None of the above has anything to do with proper education or citizen protection, but certainly helps to empty our pocketbooks.

Militarizing Police–Freedom’s Enemy

The city of Fort Smith, Arkansas seguing into the U.S. military police state. For what reason??

Times Record article front page May 8, 2017…”Directors to discuss police structure”.

“Police Chief wants more paramilitary command hierarchy”.

A “paramilitary” is a combatant force equivalent to a military’s light infantry and most commonly falls under the command of a military—in this case, the U.S. military.

A paramilitary is an organizational force whose structure, tactics, training, sub-culture & function of those of professional military. Much of our national city police forces have already undergone the above and their protocols are from international organizations and the city of Fort Smith is a member of at least two of these.

Are Police Chief Nathanial Clark and his cadre of city police not capable of socially, professionally & peacefully functioning in a city environment, i.e. Fort Smith.

From my point of view, Chief Clark is clearly operating outside the boundaries of a civil society and the U.S. Constitution. If our city, in any way demands this type of military involvement why haven’t we been informed of the threat or threats?

It appears that Clark and the rest of the city government are proposing full Battle Dress & Gear. Why?

The Fort Smith city government, e.g. the City Manager, the Mayor, the Board of Directors and now the Chief of Police are in enough mud and have covered their tracks extremely well and here they are preparing to financially attack the taxpaying citizens again that they are hired to protect and not strong-arm.

Chief Clark, tell we the citizens when you received your Directive from DC ordering you to further expand an already militarily armed city police force?

In the offing for city citizens, more corrupt, expensive government expansion. Chief Clark, if you & your existing cadre cannot implement the proper function of a city police force without military regalia & protocols, all should resign post haste!

Incumbency & lack of transparency are toxic weeds…observe the conduct of the F.S. city government on recent & past occasions.

More on the Files/Webb/Ft. Smith City debacle

More on the Files/Webb/Fort Smith city debacle which could have criminal implications. April 12, 2017

Since well before March 2014 (contract date) I have written numerous articles (at least 16) and two emails directed specifically to the City Manager, the Mayor & the Board of Directors asking the question, why was this potentially lucrative contract for the River Valley Sports Complex awarded to two elected politicians by elected politicians? At the very least impropriety emanated from all participants. No response, with the exception of one Director.

All the above articles appear on the website arkansasfreedom.net and all have my permission to forward.

Now comes the printed words of the T.R. that Fort Smith City Director Larry Lau has also done business with State Senator Jake Files (two elected officials) which further magnifies the possibilities of using political positions—to advance a host of illegal, unconstitutional, and/or unseemly projects, e.g. cronyism, collusion, the stifling of commercial competition, inside trading, ad infinitum.

The fact of the matter is the whole of the elected Fort Smith Government and the other three aforementioned electives doing business in one form or another with each other has cast a dark shadow (lack of transparency) over the city of Fort Smith. Is there more to come?

Their professional conduct is not to be tolerated under any condition. Resignation by all is the remedy.

Incumbency is a toxic weed.

In the minds of politicians, incumbency confers ownership of the public office which they occupy.

Questions for city government

The question still goes unanswered. April 11, 2017

Why was the softball complex contract awarded to Senator Files & Lee Webb? It certainly was not awarded for their contractual & financial accomplishments!

By the same token, the F.S. City government is equally guilty in this charade. Incompetency notwithstanding, but what entity would be foolish enough to drop $2 million or more into the hands of the two aforementioned politicians, absent any oversight and still funding when the project was on its death bed, i.e. the collusion between the FS city government & the WAPDD, which amounts to outright public theft.
What is the relationship between CEO WAPDD Sasha Grist (what qualifies her as CEO), the city government of Ft. Smith & Frontier MPO’s Dianne Morrison?

In view of the city’s miserable financial record, that is if they are not outright lying, streets & sewers, pensions, the Civic Center, taxpayer’s money being spent for downtown enterprises, the nascent Marshal’s Museum, ad infinitum something is really smelly, particularly the Softball Complex deal which gives an absolute appearance of either a payoff, a quid pro quo, cronyism, malfeasance, misfeasance, etc. None of which are admirable traits, coupling this with their outright refusal to come clean and illuminate the citizens as to why this contract was delivered to Files & Webb.

Money is flowing much too loosely not only in the city but in these NGO’s, wholly funded by taxpayers and run by self-serving government incompetents.

Joe McCutchen

P.S. Trails taking precedence over the aforementioned failures.

There can be no trust without transparency & honesty in government

INVESTIGATIONS, CRIMINAL OR OTHERWISE, MUST BEGIN AT THEIR ORIGINS, IN THIS CASE THE FORT SMITH CITY MAYOR & BOARD OF DIRECTORS. UNFORTUNATELY THE 3RD PARTY, THE FORMER CITY MANAGER RAY GOSACK IS NOT AVAILABLE.

March 24, 2017

All data that is available to the public suggests that at least a substantial portion of the corrupted project lies at the feet of city government along with Republican Ark. State Senator Jake Files and Democrat election fixture Lee Webb in the matter of the failed River Valley Sports Complex.

A laundry list of questionable & provable allegations follow Sen. Files which begs the question, why has Republican Gov. Asa Hutchinson and the Republican Arkansas “Issue 3 Ethics Committee” not at least censored, investigated and/or removed Files from the Ark. General Assembly by resignation or other means. The Republican majority under the guidance of Republican Hutchinson has proven it to be a hotbed of criminal activities.

Always in the matter of the RVSC failed project is the question…WHY WAS THIS POTENTIALLY LUCRATIVE ENDEAVOR AWARDED TO FILES & WEBB? Conflicts of interest abound, possible forgeries, unpaid bills, questionable relations with lobbyists, alleged litigation, overdrafts, etc.
Which member or members affiliated with city government (former City Manager, Mayor, Board & or others) promoted Files & Webb? And why? Was it a quid pro quo? A cover-up question? Promises of future monetary gain, a protection racket? Etc.

Why did Ivy Owen, Manager of the Ft Chaffee Development Authority and on what authority donate a parcel of taxpayer owned land to the city of Fort Smith for the express purpose of giving ownership to Files & Webb for the RVSC for-profit complex?

Remembering the City Board dropped $1.08 million in cash into the soiled hands of Files & Webb, replete with no fiduciary oversight. Following on the heels of that unearned largesse and deep into the RVSC game the city applied & received 3 grants totaling $141,257.73 in behalf of Files & Webb from the taxpayer subsidized WAPDD—another unelected, no oversight Agenda 21 NGO & planners of your lives… incompetent & run by a political sponge by the name Sasha Grist who neglected to get bids for the three grants.

A recipient for one of the grant monies is the elusive Diana Gonzalez, who is yet to be located in the amount of $26, 954.91. As the story goes she has not been located for a number of months.(Has there ever been a search?) Suggestion: the NSA could locate her in 30 minutes, after all this is the corrupt government outfit that has collected personal data on every citizen in the U.S. Thanks to Manning, Snowden & Assange citizens now know this.

City Manager Carl Geffken states “The liability to pay the provider of goods & services at the Sports Complex is the responsibility of the RVSC organization and Jake Files & Lee Webb.” Not so fast, Geffken on a prior occasion, trying to divorce the City Government from the corrupt RVSC escapade stated on TV-5 “City government wanted to move on”. (what do they propose to do with the mostly incomplete complex?) Geffken obviously wants taxpayer citizens to believe the lie that the FS City Government is snowflake clean—not by a long shot! The failed RVSC project has cost the city, state, & national taxpayers somewhere south of $4 million and like criminal Bush’s 16 year butchery & destruction, what is to be shown, nothing except in this case floods of 3rd world refugees. SEAL THE BORDERS!

Mr. Geffken refuses to address the foundation of what evolved into this criminal enterprise—the awarding of the RVSC project to the tainted Files & Webb. Does Geffken expect taxpaying citizens to eat the loss and allow the feckless City Government to proceed on with nefarious downtown projects that come under the scrutiny of the Griffin/Sicard new-age Agenda 21 Urban Renewal onslaught? Paid for by hardworking taxpayers.

For justice to be done both parties should and must be investigated by state/federal entities promptly, not what the city has in mind.
In the minds of a politicians, incumbency confers ownership!

Joe McCutchen

P.S. State Senator Bryan King introduced SB175 to require Medicaid providers and other government officials to disclose their business relationships. It was defeated. The Fort Smith city government offers at least 2 perfect examples why SB175 should be passed (the RVSC & the street/sewer tax.) The SB175 defeat was at the hands of Big Government Establishment man Gov. Asa Hutchinson.

WHERE DID/DOES THE MONEY GO???

ANOTHER WHY? FOR THE UBER CORRUPT FORT SMITH CITY GOVERNMENT.
March 20, 2017

T.R. article this date states that City Administrator Jeff Geffken wants to renegotiate the latest EPA decree which demands the city pay $400 million worth of upgrades to the city’s sewer system. Note, I stated this was the 2nd EPA decree regarding the crumbling Ft. Smith sewer system.

In 1985 the Fort Smith city voters voted for a 1% street/sewer tax and said tax has never been interrupted. In 2015 the Times Record reported that the street/sewer tax was generating $21 million per year. Therefore; in that 30 year period (`1985-2015) the street/sewer tax generated at least $630 million. The TR data just mentioned was published Jan. 6, 2015 which adds on another $50 million or so. Now Geffken is being told by the downtown insiders (Griffin & Sicard) to put the citizen tax collar on for the 3rd time, extending the EPA decree for another 25 years!

The above money would have paid for the street & sewer tax improvements by the year 2007, yet the streets & sewers are crumbling. It is my belief that the FS city government’s activities go far past incompetence, but citizens, who really is to blame? Once again I will say in the eyes of incumbents, incumbency is ownership! Only citizens with smarts can redirect this idiocy, i.e. incumbency.

So where did the $650 million go? It is said the fire/police retirement funds are deficient, while the city subsidizes the Civic Center with $700,000 per year, streets/sewer deficiencies, Trails, Marshal’s Museum, downtown Urban Renewal, consultants, faux bidding on city equipment, and the latest of their WHY dedication of $2 million or so to two politicians by the name of Sen. Jake Files & Lee Webb…2 insider government cronies with no qualifications for inheriting such a potentially lucrative project, i.e. the River Valley Sports Complex. Not to mention the monies they give to non-profits which are all subsidized by government, one way or another and the delegation of citizen authority to Planners & Regional government organization (NGO’s) that have no oversight. There is more incompetency?

There is absolutely no transparency in this government that allows city citizens to become informed. It is corrupt to core.

P.S. Governor Hutchinson and the Arkansas legislature have introduced this session 10 different bills to castrate the FOIA!

INCUMBENCY IS A TOXIC WEED

Incumbency is the toxic weed that is destroying we the people and our native culture—Western Civilization. March 10, 2017

The Fort Smith Mayor and Board of Directors, current and past 30 year members (starting with the 1% Sewer/Road tax hoax) will not & cannot be absolved from what appears to be, with available information, a position that resides somewhere between a political protection racket and/or outright criminal activities revolving today around the nascent River Valley Sports Complex, absent transparency.

At this juncture (today) there have been little discussions and facts available for public consumption by the former City Manager, the Mayor & the City Directors. The members of this government indicate they do not wish to pursue this debacle and since the new City Manager stated on TV-5, “move on”. The politician’s/bureaucrat’s credo is bury their missteps and “move on”…always leaving the citizens in a monetary lurch.

Regarding the principal proponent of this engagement is Ark. State Senator Jake Files. There apparently, at least not known to the public, has been no movement by Gov. Asa Hutchinson, the State Board of Ethics, or any legal establishment to remove Files from State government for misapplication of public monies, dallying with & exploiting lobbyists, liberties in handling financial instruments, ad infinitum.
Until the Fort Smith city government answers in some detail one can only conclude that this body is corrupt. Attached to this statement the following questions have been asked 16 times during the past 5 years and can be found on the website arkansasfreedom.net This government, like all governments, is not a model for transparency; always devolving into a protection racket & much worse.
Government is subsuming our national independence—all U.S. governments.

Questions:
1. Why were Republican Ark. State Senator Jake Files & Democrat Election Commissioner Lee Webb (both deeply embedded officially in Ark. government) awarded this contract—conflicts & criminal behavior?

2. When Fort Smith citizen taxpayer monies were disbursed to Files & Webb why was there not professional oversight & accounting procedures employed from day one.

3. Why—neither of the two had any successful free market experience/accomplishments in construction, but a laundry list of failures? Explain.

4. If the Fed was doing its job (& maybe they are) they would be searching for the elusive Ms. Gonzales & questionable activities & documents and foremost, is she an illegal?

5. Why are the government functionaries so quiet on the above matters?

More “fool’s gold”, in the eyes of incumbents, incumbency is ownership.

Pinning the tails on the Donkeys & the Elephants!

Deep City Fort Smith—related to the DC Deep State— the unelected always control the process. February 26, 2017

The primary question remains unanswered: Why were State Senator Jake Files (R) Chairman of the Ark. Senate Revenue & Taxation Committee and Lee Webb (D) member of the Board of Election Commissioners & also the chairman of the Arkansas Economic Development Commission awarded the political, potentially lucrative contract/agreement for the construction and ownership of the River Valley Sports Complex located at Chaffee Crossing?

The above question alone is evidence that there were/are substantive numbers of economic & political conflicts embedded in this odoriferous deal! Arrows also point to a possible complicity of some sort by the former City Administrator, the present City’s Mayor and one or more of the Board of Directors for allowing this travesty to be created & continued to exist for 5 years. Omitted from the equation are recently appointed City Administrator Carl Geffken & newly seated Director Tracy Pennartz.

Both Files & Webb have shown themselves to be in positions of influence peddling pertaining to government money pits, i.e. Files position as Chairman & Webb’s position with the AEDC. The conflicts, minus details, explanations, lack of transparency should have been investigated by city government & reported to the taxpaying citizens. A partial list of taxpayer concerns: contractual obligations, no apparent oversight during the 5 year project, no information regarding insurance, accounting practices, ownership, liability concerns, 501c3’s & their officers & salaries, lucrative venues related to the project, e.g. concessions, parking, multiple other entertainment venues, Files & Webb’s fiduciary obligations & other responsibilities, and in case of failure (which is the status) what restitution is due, if any?

Obviously the project was erected on sinking sand.

Since November 26, 2011 (“Sticking pins in the eyes”), I have written at least 16 articles asking the questions posed above and many more specifically directed to the former City Manager, the Mayor and the Board of Directors and may be found on arkansasfreedom.net.

Furthermore; one such article titled “Hold your horses” was posted on April 17, 2012 regarding the Times Record front page story “Developers take stand on sports complex”, another article titled “Is this political patronage” dated Aug. 29, 2012 detailed multiple questions, legal, ethical & financial. Another was devoted to an FOIA sent to Mayor Sandy Sanders by certified mail/receipt requested. The U.S. Postal Service informed me that Sanders refused to sign for delivery which lay on his desk unopened for 1 month at which time it was returned to the sender.

The city of Fort Smith has dumped $1.6 million in cash, plus other in-kind taxpayer services, e.g. the National Guard, the regular Army & Army reserves which if, (as previously stated) the city had employed accepted accounting practices & monitoring, they would have known Files & Webb have spent over $2 million on this nefarious project…and nothing to show for it. Question: did some of these funds pay for any of Files & Webb’s personal expenses and are there still unpaid bills? Then of course there is the matter of some bids that appear to be fraudulent. (Was the disappearing Hispanic contractor an illegal?)

An editorial that appeared in the DemGaz Sunday February 19, 2017 excoriated Files for his manipulation of the General Improvement Fund for $46,500 that the city government obediently applied for & received to help with the Park project. Why? This is in addition to the $1.6 million the city paid Files & Webb for work allegedly completed since 2014. The GIF is a slush fund for politicians, in this case, Senator Jake Files, to buy votes, incur other favors and enrich themselves. Senator Files has a roadmap of business failures and unsavory dealings and some appear to be outright illegal.

That the Fort Smith city government could be this incompetent & dysfunctional is hard to swallow. It is my belief that a maelstrom now exists in the Deep City, e.g. the $400 million EPA mandate the $300,000 EPA fine, the demand for an EPA 12 year completion…followed by Geffken’s request for a 25 more year extension, the shortfall in the police & fireman retirement fund, the huge amount of taxpayer money being spent on private property in Downtown Fort Smith (1960’s Urban Renewal), large subsidies to the proposed Marshal’s Museum (billed as a private endeavor & who owns?), the bankrupt City Civic Center (costing the taxpayers $700,000 per year), and the shell games go on.

In a recent TV-5 interview with Manager Geffken, he made some brief remarks, e.g. “we need to move on” which to me is indicative that he & the Board want to scrub the River Valley Sports Complex, if not true, then where did Geffken want “to move on” to? What is needed here is that Geffken call for an official, independent investigation, criminal & otherwise, into the actions of all parties since November 2011 involving the softball complex. Soon we will find out where Geffken stands on accountability & transparency.

Why is Senator Files allowed to remain a functionary in state government in view of his sordid political & economic adventures using hard earned taxpayer dollars, and same for the Mayor & City Directors? Do contractual obligations/responsibilities no longer exist?

Joe McCutchen
arkansasfreedom.net

P.S. One has to wonder if double government dipper, Rep. Matt Pitsch, Arkansas Speaker of the House & Regional (government Change Agent) Czar for RITA is anxiously waiting in the wings for Senator Files to fall on his sword. (Regional government=non-elected officials appointed by elected city officials to plan and hold control over large swaths of land, water, & people, and are the “PLANNERS” & those plans always come with a huge price, not only of money but of loss of freedoms.)

I direct your attention to both Files & Pitsch who are both lead dogs in the proposed legislation SJR8 (tort reform) that leads to the abolishment of our Founding Fathers’ Bill of Rights, Amendment 7 guaranteeing citizen rights to trial by a jury of our peers. Files, Pitsch and other traitorous Republicans in the Ark. General Assembly are bribed by nursing homes, insurance companies, and many corporate interests. They have totally abandoned their constituencies, as well as their ethics, morality & history of our republic.

What Constitutional Amendment will these Republicans attack next?

Questions for city government

Cover-ups + incompetency = The Fix……Absent transparency February 1, 2017

Fort Smith City Manager, Mayor, City Directors, State Rep. Matt Pitsch and other principals.

City Manager Carl Geffken terminated yesterday the curious expensive contract between the city of Fort Smith and State Senator Jake Files (R) & Democrat Lee Webb pertaining to the building of a softball complex at Chaffee Crossing, which was a good thing and none too soon, but Geffken is sweeping away this mess in typical government fashion. If the board has not voted on the matter how can Geffken state the contract has been terminated?

Geffken was interviewed last evening by TV5, and over & over he would state pertaining to the termination of the contract, “we must move forward”—absent solutions. His swift evacuation poses a number of questions.

1. Is this a cover-up?

2. Why were Files & Webb awarded this contract in the first place, particularly since it represents an aggressive conflict of interest and the fact these two have never proven they could create and manage a business successfully?

3. Was there no agreement in the contract that addressed fiduciary responsibility by the two, and in case of failure (which is the case) were there no terms regarding restitution or breach of contract? No public mention of what oversight tools were in place.

4. Geffken did not bother to state or suggest what the plans were for salvaging this mess which seems to be laced with unfettered corruption.

5. Did one or more of the Board of Directors request an audit pertaining to the manner in which $1.08 million given to Files & Webb by the city for construction of the complex was spent on who, how, & when?

The above information has not been made available to the citizens and can only be described as sleazy corruption by the city of Fort Smith.
State Representative Matt Pitsch, full time federal employee of RITA and the state of Arkansas. How can Rep. Pitsch work two full-time government jobs (double-dipping—state & Fed) and represent his constituents in a dutiful manner? He can’t.

Pitsch was quoted in today’s T.R. “It’s a regional approach to transportation”. This simply means that Pitsch is an advocate for government control of transportation and the word “regional” means that in this case city government, i.e. Fort Smith, has delegated its authority (citizens) to the U.N.’s Agenda 21 and the Feds. Pitsch is also Speaker of the House and wields huge political power, and there is no evidence that he is using any of it for the benefit of his constituents & Arkansas citizens, just big government.

Also in today’s T.R. titled “Firm presents downtown plan”. Kelsey Berry of Gateway Planning stated in her selling job “Downtown should have more of a regional emphasis to support businesses & entrepreneurs.” (The word “regional” again) More questions: who is paying for the grand plan for downtown? The plan is simply a warmed-over 1960’s project for a new age Urban Renewal, where the city/taxpayers pay for refurbishing and subsidizing downtown property owners. Look no further that the Sicard/Griffin cabal.

Government Shell Games = Taxpayer Punishments

Fort Smith, AR is another DC Swamp—32 years & no results from the 1% street/sewer tax, and the tax meter is running rampantly. January 23, 2017

Another Shell Game about to be foisted on Fort Smith citizens by new City Manager (phantom/has never been introduced publicly) Carl Gefkin, the Mayor and the City Directors.

Shell Games are also known as Short-Cons because they are easy & quick to pull off. Case in point, Fort Smith City Manager & Directors.
A brief background pertaining to Fort Smith citizen’s addiction to taxes (shell games & the highest in Arkansas) must be constructed so as to understand the magnitude of the City Manager’s proposed extension of the already 32 year old Shell Game that Fort Smith has experienced, which if left up to the phantom City Manager & Directors will result in a 57 year Shell Game.

September, 1985 a 1% city street & sewer tax was passed because of an Environmental Protection Act (EPA) decree (sewers), precisely the same EPA demands that were placed a second time (Dec. 2, 2014) on the city of Fort Smith that resulted in a $300,000 fine and a $400 million sewer edict to be completed in 12 years. Of course, the $400 million, due to interest, etc. will balloon to over $500 million during the 12 year mandate.

The 1% street & sewer tax that was specifically dedicated for street and sewer improvements have generated well over $600 million in the first 25 years of its existence, and the sewer tax meter is now into its 32nd year. Where did the $600+ million go? Certainly not on streets & sewers as demanded. With the $600 million spent & abused, coupled to the 2nd $400 million EPA demand will result in far more than double taxation and will be close if not surpassing $ 3/4 billion in taxes.

At the first 10 year sunset, voted on and passed, why was the word sewer and/or “drainage improvement” removed from the official tax title & now referred to simply as the 1% street tax.

Enter new City Manager, Carl Gefkin, the Shell Game “conjurer” and his 3 peas—the Mayor, the City Directors & the City Attorney.
Let the Shell Game continue—Fort Smith citizens are always ready for another tax plucking measure.

Here is their game plan. As with all City Managers, Gefkin is trained to carry out all federal mandates, acts, laws, etc. while posing as a servant of the citizens who pay his salary.

Recall, if the original 1 cent street/sewer redemption tax had been legally & appropriately used, in all likelihood the sewers would have been refurbished in first 5 years…1990. Instead, 32 years later most streets & sewers are still in a state of disrepair. (All the while the PC crowd clamors for mismanaged, ill-conceived trails, ball complexes, museums, Avenue businesses (new-age Urban Renewal) & other non-essentials. These are all being subsidized with taxpayer dollars to cronies, property owners, contractors, regionalism, 501c3’s & 4’s with no transparency in the bid process if one exists.)

Fort Smith City Manager Gefkin stated January 19, 2017, “Trying to do it in that short period (12 years) of time we’re finding out now, is not realistic. We need more time to do it”. (Is 32 years not long enough??)

I would suggest to government man Gefkin two things: Tighten the financial belt & run the city government as a business (which you may know nothing about)…cut funding for ALL non-essentials until this mandate is completed as agreed to by the current city government. Mr. Gefkin, you were well aware of the 2nd EPA mandate when you accepted the job. Furthermore, you knew that this was the same Board that negotiated the 12 year deal for reclaiming sewers and these Board Members are waist deep in incompetency, waste, & corruption in this Shell Game.

Now the bombshell! Jan. 19, 2017 introduced to the public his short time Shell Game: “Gefkin said, ‘possibly extending the decree (EPA) to 25 years or so “a shot in the dark”. This is the most dangerous & outrageous proposal entertained by City Directors that has ever come before the F.S. City Board. This would be a mandate to turn sewer improvement into a 57 year project, no end in sight and getting this Board & future Boards hundreds of millions of dollars to carry out ill-advised projects.

WHERE DID THE $600 MILLION GO AND WHERE & TO WHOM WILL THE FUTURE MONEY GO? QUI BONO???

A quotation by Robert Yates, one of our Founders…”I can scarcely contemplate a greater calamity that could befall this country than be loaded with a debt exceeding their ability to ever discharge. If this be a just remark, it is unwise and improvident to vest in the general government a power to borrow at discretion, without any limitation or restriction”.
